I came across a lady in her birthday suit wild swimming in one of the pools on the Chase, these are left over from 1900 mining and fed by a spring, water is probably clean enough but I hate to think what lurks beneath. This pool is on a busy path and she didn't seem very concerned, friend tell me they have also seen her obviously becoming a regular place for a dip.Funny thing is as we were leaving a guy rode down to the water's edge on a pushbike got of his bike stripped off and jumped in the lake for a swim the water must have been ice cold better him than I was my thinking.
Yes they do, which is why I don’t eat an apple now. But, if I can make an apple sauce and freeze portions of day a teaspoon size, then maybe that might be okay?Historic bike ride 1 hour 15mins so I reckon with planned stops at historic spots 2 hours should take care of Tuesday's outing with my E Bike friends.
@gennepher Apples push my BG high in any form, bit like you and spuds I suspect. Sons got a very nice Orchard and all his apples were going to waste because him and my granddaughters are too afraid of the wasps. I went and picked lots of them for him so in my granddaughter's eyes I was a hero, they don't believe that so long as you don't panic, run, wave your arms about and are careful to pick those without holes wasps leave you alone. I told them I'm 70 years old and only been stung once useing this technique but they still can't bring themselves to stay calm.![]()
Finished my watercolour hazy sunset which I started yesterday. A4 about 90 minutes..

This is done on rough Canson Paper to try and enhance the hazy feel. Mrs MC wants me to return to my early painting techniques and so I have to try and find some middle ground between Impressionism style and what ever my old style was. No idea where that will lead me.
You could freeze it in ice cube trays, pop them out when frozen and pack into a box/bag
Nice. Still hazy, lots of depth and interest. I suppose that you have to go with whatever technique you are happy with and also that you have fun playing withFinished my watercolour hazy sunset which I started yesterday. A4 about 90 minutes..

Is dip a local euphemism?I came across a lady in her birthday suit , friend tell me they have also seen her obviously becoming a regular place for a dip.
Not sure if local, friends and family have used it as long as I can remember. Probably because our UK Sea is so cold and so you went for a dip in the true sense of the word. Must do some research. Is dip a local euphemism?![]()
Thank you. Problem is I'm never sure if I'm happy with any of my styles.Nice. Still hazy, lots of depth and interest. I suppose that you have to go with whatever technique you are happy with and also that you have fun playing with
Thank you. Ideas do change I feel I've spent almost 70 years never finding a style, doesn't matter though it's the enjoyment and pleasure and need to paint that's important.I believe that our painting styles change over time, as we try new ideas, and different techniques @Muddy Cyclist
I like this painting with its haziness and depth into that far distance...
I think we are misunderstanding each other. I was wondering if dip was a euphemism for roll in the hay. Doesn't work now. Sorry. Not sure if local, friends and family have used it as long as I can remember. Probably because our UK Sea is so cold and so you went for a dip in the true sense of the word. We have all led too sheltered lives, Ian!I think we are misunderstanding each other. I was wondering if dip was a euphemism for roll in the hay. Doesn't work now. Sorry.
Twitchers use the word when they travel to see a rarity and its gone, never to be seen again! Is dip a local euphemism?![]()
@lindisfel
Oh well sorry about the confusion but that's OK because I always carry bins with me but not as good as those TV presenters free ones.
Though we have three sets of bins pocket sized that came for free when we joined the National Trust.
One thing is there aren't that many rubbish bins because they prefer you to take your rubbish home with you.
Never heard of a Rudder Darter but I' ve been bitten by some "Ruddy Horse flies " this summer !

Also interesting summary of findings from the app many are using to help researchers collect data on COVID. A few posters look after grandchildren so may be useful
