What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I don't know, Ian, by the time the air has gone through the planes recirculating system a few times all the passengers will have shared all their viruses.
And if another wave does come next winter it may be worse later on unless a third vaccine jab nails it!

Probably true but I suspect the prof who feels COVID is now with us (in this world) permanently, with a death rate probably akin to that of the flu, provided we keep up with its mutations is right. One then assesses the risk of various situations which we have not been wont to do. Julie feels safer than I in many situations. My assessment of such a plane journey is that it is safer than most supermarkets. Hopefully, soldiering on with coughs and sneezes (for all and sundry to catch) won't be such a badge of honour post this period. and mask wearing will be compulsory in such settings. I won't hold my breath.

Hi Ianp You could always dress up in camouflage gear and grab a lift on one of my daughter's C17s to Akrotiri - not far from Limassol! No bakers nor champagne, guaranteed.

As an aside, my first trip out east has been confirmed, so getting ready for that...I'm hoping to hitch a ride on one of our internal flights out there but will head home on either Cathay or BA I imagine.

Friday night is date night.
For all us old married couples, here's a thought!

Have a safe and enjoyable trip. Tempting offer of C17 flight. We have only been to Paphos/Pathos? . I don't object to Champagne per se but 4 hrs worth in a diminutive frame involved far too much banging into our seats by a stout personage.

Slow and steady but great progress.

As for them squiggles, we are having an all out war with them as they keep raiding our garden bulbs.

Some years ago when the world transplant games were held in Japan, the British transplant team were flown over and on the plane were a couple of research doctors studying the effects of recirculating air in a confined space on passengers with heavily compromised immune systems.

This was approximately 20 years ago and I never found out the results, but a lot more is now known about the quality of the air / filtration used on airlines.

Footnote Transplant games are the Olympics, for people that have had an organ transplant are are allowed to take drugs .

A good but very cold Muddy Cylcle ride. The heathland was very dry, must be the winds, cold and flat light that made the sleeping grass shine and heather darken. Very quiet and still out there today so a good three hours.

Heathland today.

Finished yesterday's painting from the Manicured Landscape series... Lichfield Cathedral from Beaudesert....

A4 watercolour....

Now have to try and record myself playing some tricky Bass Recorder music as the other three in the Quartet have done there bits and await my effort. It's a hard piece and fingers get into a panic over some of the sections where lots of black dots on sticks are crammed into a bar. Driving me crazy.

Nicolaland from Dorisberg this afternoon across the Solway and RSPB created marshes.
Note Doris, instead of Boris, both Marjorie and I swear a reporter on R4 called him Doris this am.

He looks a Doris it has to be said, but better that than the James Naughtie Spoonersim with Jeremy Hunt!!

Fantabulous photos

I could even get the trike up that trail! That looks great...

Gave the funny, cos it's that gallows humour.
"Hope your chute works" just before ya jump.

Did read the air is filtered every few minutes.
Must look it up, anyway as said, I fell less safe in the supermarket.

Survived covid flight.

But chap in front wore no mask, aw poor old boy...

Got to accept some will struggle.

Blow me but didn't he put it on quick in Turkey when he realised they weren't messing about.
And snowflake was no defence against a big old fine....B#*#**

Think his "selfishness" grated more then the Beano boys strutting around the cabin as we landed, having back chatted the crew all flight.

Poor big brave fearless lads.
Terrified of a mask. ***

So yeah, most dangerous party of flying
terminals..all that hurry up and wait there.

Get the all clear, we're outta here

A Beach a Beach my Kingdom for a Beach, a bit dramatic I know but that art is as you say very reminiscent of so many Beach outings in the U.K. A lovely character so well drawn and the reflections in thewet sand, just superb.
Thank you very much @Muddy Cyclist
We all need these beaches...
