Thanks @jjraak. We moved our 2020 booking to 2021 no problem. Now looking at switching packages. Early November with BA probably safer (more vaccinated folk, clearer picture) than mid October with TUI . European Club class BA definitely more socially distanced all round. This time no celebrity baker on our flights please BA. You don't need to drink Champagne for 4 hrs just because it is "free," especially if you can't hold it in well. I also like breakfast by the pool and sunbathing/pool time whilst the hotel interior is decorated for Christmas and it is frosty in UK. We may loose a little money if TUI keep our deposit but COVID has shown me you can't put a price on safety and peace of mind.
Probably true but I suspect the prof who feels COVID is now with us (in this world) permanently, with a death rate probably akin to that of the flu, provided we keep up with its mutations is right. One then assesses the risk of various situations which we have not been wont to do. Julie feels safer than I in many situations. My assessment of such a plane journey is that it is safer than most supermarkets. Hopefully, soldiering on with coughs and sneezes (for all and sundry to catch) won't be such a badge of honour post this period. and mask wearing will be compulsory in such settings. I won't hold my breath.I don't know, Ian, by the time the air has gone through the planes recirculating system a few times all the passengers will have shared all their viruses.
And if another wave does come next winter it may be worse later on unless a third vaccine jab nails it!

Hi Ianp You could always dress up in camouflage gear and grab a lift on one of my daughter's C17s to Akrotiri - not far from Limassol! Thanks @jjraak. We moved our 2020 booking to 2021 no problem. Have a safe and enjoyable trip. Tempting offer of C17 flight. We have only been to Paphos/Pathos? . I don't object to Champagne per se but 4 hrs worth in a diminutive frame involved far too much banging into our seats by a stout personage.Hi Ianp You could always dress up in camouflage gear and grab a lift on one of my daughter's C17s to Akrotiri - not far from Limassol! No bakers nor champagne, guaranteed.
As an aside, my first trip out east has been confirmed, so getting ready for that...I'm hoping to hitch a ride on one of our internal flights out there but will head home on either Cathay or BA I imagine.
Slow and steady but great progress.A belated catch up on my AWOL FBG.
Was found wandering, clearly distressed babbling about those "darn 7's ".
Life otherwise, progressing
Legs function improving daily
The other unused muscles that had an extended Xmas break now moaning that the furlough is over and it's all back to work.
is mumbling by that rabble rouser, hips, that a walk out may happen, already has back, backing him up, and protesting loudly
Rumours of the MST union (muscles, Sinew & Tendons) being more militant, but i don't think they are all talking to each other like they used to, so will probably just grumble with little action.
Trying to convene meetings to sort the issues, trouble is letting each one think IT's the important link in the chain
Highlight of week
Early week, managing to walking down front steps slowly, but in a grown up fashion.
Last night's..
Taking out the rubbish, first time I've been able since December ..Hoo rah.
Boring but interesting to moi.
( Give us a break, I've finally got some freedom back)
Dropped scooter off for some work, decided part of my rehab, would be cycling.
So I Boris biked it back....
Took slow route through park.
Noticed outdoor gym, locked up, but I was curious, so stopped to check out what type of machines it was.
Found this little fella darting across the machines undecided which to get on.
Btw steps averaging 6k, up from a sad 40 11 weeks ago.
all slow as hell, so not really doing anything, but boy each one felt good

But he/she was always going to bed with Looby Loo. I always wondered what went on in that basket.Ah happy days of innocent childhood, no one doubted the gender of Andy Pandy!
That was before the 1960s when, as we all know, Percy Filth was invented. But he/she was always going to bed with Looby Loo. I always wondered what went on in that basket.![]()

Good stuff Karen. Keeping my team motivated today was slightly uphill...you're a great cheerleader and could've done with you on the conference callsTodays quoteView attachment 47840
He looks a Doris it has to be said, but better that than the James Naughtie Spoonersim with Jeremy Hunt!!View attachment 47845
Nicolaland from Dorisberg this afternoon across the Solway and RSPB created marshes.
Note Doris, instead of Boris, both Marjorie and I swear a reporter on R4 called him Doris this am.

I could even get the trike up that trail! That looks great...A good but very cold Muddy Cylcle ride. The heathland was very dry, must be the winds, cold and flat light that made the sleeping grass shine and heather darken. Very quiet and still out there today so a good three hours.
Heathland today.

Now have to try and record myself playing some tricky Bass Recorder music as the other three in the Quartet have done there bits and await my effort. It's a hard piece and fingers get into a panic over some of the sections where lots of black dots on sticks are crammed into a bar. Driving me crazy.

Thank you @dunelnThank you @gennepher. I like how your raised man turned out. To me, it looks like he is on top of a mountain, looking over the clouds towards a setting sun.
Thank youLovely - buckets and spades and rock pools - always a great hit with children and does invoke good memories
Thank you very much @Muddy CyclistA Beach a Beach my Kingdom for a Beach, a bit dramatic I know but that art is as you say very reminiscent of so many Beach outings in the U.K. A lovely character so well drawn and the reflections in thewet sand, just superb.
