Thank you @Muddy CyclistMore uncharted adventures on a voyage of discovery, both imaginative and new skill levels found in your art today. It will be interesting to see where this mindless wandering will take you.
I am addicted to Marks and Spencer Peanut butter - mixed in with yoghurt and berries. Yum. Good BG!
Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen on this blustery Saturday.
A perplexing 4.5 on that meter of mystery and whatever.
Steam powered electric sliderule, log tables, wet finger in the air, tea bag reading and good old guessing to calculate my insulin dosage this morning.
Well fellow posters, painters and gamers today is another day of wonder and to be enjoyed. I wonder if me and me's will be allowed to enjoy myself, possibly hiding in my shed / workshop listening to the radio.
Now I must depart to the kitchen to make a life preserving mug of tea for Mrs J and hence preserve my life.
As usual all the stay's.
Glad it took you on a journey somewhere....That's fab. It reminds me of an old song from the Alan Parsons Project...Don't Let It Show...no idea why...but I just played it and stared at your great painting and got lost...
He is a disabled cat, can't jump or run fast and has many broken teeth. Poss car accident? Then again his absolute terror of humans implies something else. It took nearly a year and lockdown to gain his confidence. Think being a stray was really tough for him.
@RFSMarch I feel for you not liking salad. The only way I am clinging to LC for now is by eating fish and avo salad about 6 days a week and forgetting what I'm doing on the seventh - still vlc. Peanut or any other nut butter would be on my food hell list. Just goes to show how we are all different and suggesting how to eat LC from your own experience is fraught with issues. Hope you find your way through this.

Dinner's here. Duck, with Chinese greens and a hot and sour soup. Maybe watch a Jackie Chan film! Nice half bottle of red to sup with my fave food.
So cheers all! View attachment 48021
Bit of a leap to assume I have never even tried salad to dislike it? The reason I don't like salad IS because I have tried eating it. Many times. I just. Don't. LIKE it.Ah @RFSMarch , spot on with the insight, it's all about making it work for us.
perfect, naw, but what else do we have.?
i am partial to a good salad, throw in some cut steak/chicken/etc...yum
but OMG i hate fish, more so the oily fishee fish...
In the spirit of not saying you dislike it without trying it
i have tried harder since DX
but in all, I've tried herring/gravelax/salmon/sushi..and many other presumed fruits of the sea..and most are YUK.
i will say i like tiger prawns BUT not the smaller prawns /shrimps, and have eaten crab lobster occasionally without being violently ill..so not all fish is bad, but for me, i can truly say if no more fish, i doubt i'd miss it.
So i deffo hear you on the salad front.
makes it a littler harder, but your plan seems like the best worst option.
(made a few of those myself.)
Good luck
Stay put @lindisfel and when you do feel better just remember thisHi all,
A bit tired today after 2nd Pfizer vaccine yesterday, but can't grumble.
Think I will skip my garden walk today.
It's a bit showery, windy and cold in Cumbria with snow over tops.
Quick roll out in youngest daughters' area for Vaccines, she gets her first monday.
We all are moving on apace.
Great medical teams in UK, they are running an excellent smooth operation in our small town of Wigton of Lord Bragg fame!

Each one of us with T2DM should manage our chronic condition individually with what works for us in conjunction with our health care professionals, who are swamped by and large by both the diabetes tsunami and the other conditions that have to be treated.Bit of a leap to assume I have never even tried salad to dislike it? The reason I don't like salad IS because I have tried eating it. Many times. I just. Don't. LIKE it.
I didn't like it when I was a kid, but what kid likes being told to eat their greens. I have tried salad pots in work canteens. I have tried salad pots at Grand Slam media restaurants. I still don't like it.
But if it means some other thing to prove I don't belong in this or any other diabetes/LC carb group then so be it. I am in the normal range with meds, exercise and staying roughly round 80-125g of carbs WITHOUT salad, and at the end of the day what matters to me is MY BG range.
So yeah... no salad.
LCHF does not work for me and me's, low to medium carb seems to work, high fat unless it's cheese is a real no no.
My medications screw things up, big time, but carbs are a big requirement in the morning for me.
As for eating things we detest just for the sake of lowering blood sugars a marginal amount does not equate, there are better ways to do that, we just have to find what works with our own bodies chemistry set.
I have to remind myself that life is for living, not fretting about things that I have marginal control of. My transplanted liver seems to able to regulate my bodies requirements, unless I get very active and burn up more energy than I estimated in the morning. Just recently a common occurrence.
Good luck all.
Thank you @gennepherHe is beautiful @SlimLizzy
