@Cumberland

There we go. The team sweatshirt
BG before dinner was 5.4mmol and 2 hours after finishing 5.2mmol.

Given the stress and topsy turvy day, very pleased with that. Diabetes is such a mystery.

@gennepher I will do your FM stuff tomorrow from the hotel at Paris CDG airport. Sorry for the extended delay. My fault entirely.

Plenty of Ian's on this thread....

That's okay. Thank you @BRSBRI
Save it until you have the time to do it.
It can wait.
Thanks :)

Good morning everyone from a red tinge in the sky start, here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of turmeric roasted cauliflower with dahl came in at 5.8 this am - shouldn’t have included that extract from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Lentils out then.

Freezing cold yesterday. Walked through the park and then into town to pick up some groceries. We decided to walk home via the sea front. Unfortunately we walked right into a very cold offshore wind, making it a bit of a trial to plough ahead and bitingly cold. I once took part in a sea assault practice on the island of Hoy from Scapa Flow - coming off a landing craft in those waters in early Spring - that sort of cold. We quickly crossed back into town and got in amongst the streets with the soundtrack from the film Four Weddings and a Funeral ringing in our ears - brrr!

Bin day today so I will be testing the temperature as I coax the recycling bin into it’s pre-allocated and socially distanced spot ready for the parade.
Picture today - the top bit from the one yesterday that just didn’t work so was cut off. I added a few trees and Mrs Miggins gave is a sigh of approval. H hope that everyone has a peasant Wednesday, I shall be turning the engine over on my bike and drinking koffy.

Looks good @dunelm
The added trees make the background mountains recede but they still look dramatic and imposing.

Good Morning and 6 for me today. Caused by Yesterday evenings meal of stuffed Aubergine, almonds, courgette, peppers, some cherry tomatoes and herbs topped with cheese served with salad.

Second Covid Jab today at 9.30 am. Mrs MC says I can't go to Health Centre on my Mountain Bike and then go on a Muddy Cycle ride after so I must obey. She agreed to let me walk there and back though so will have to start earlier.

Keep safe enjoy the time Spring visits us.

Morning all this frosty April morning.
Fasting B.G. 5.8
Yesterday was bitter, but also incredibly smelly. Farmer decided to heavily spread slurry on a field just up wind from us and we got the full benefit.

We make this am our first self shopping day since lock down at the beginning of Jan.
There comes a time when one needs to get out to feel more normal. So its a quick trip to the local Lidl today.

1976 - the very first Apple product. I was 6 years old.

Techology sure has come a long way...View attachment 48693
The very first computers I worked on in 1976 was this Olivetti, programs written onto 256 byte mag cards and a massive machine memory of 2k bytes, could not afford to be wasteful with your programming. :) Actions taken by operators were guided by Turing on combination of lights, data for Stock Lines, Accounts, Employees was all stored on the 256 byte mag cards, many a large business did very well useing these machines.

Sounds like trip is improving even if chaotic.

Good National Bin day Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, life is still a bit hectic here in Tilehurst Towers, but on the plus side me and me's woke up :) .

A 4.7 on that scheming meter of mystery this morning, hmmmm calculation time.

Today's schedule includes checking motorbike tyre pressures and oil levels, more woodworking on those never ending planters and most importantly keeping out from under Mrs J's feet.

Have a great day all and remember the stay's.

Good Sub-optimal morning all. Sunny but very chilly pre, pre-black bin day in mini yee-hawland . You crazy Brits keep getting it wrong. Sub-optimal weather, fbg of 5.1 and general functioning of the Ianhood . Score draw as weight and resting pulse in good places -deep, deep joyloads. I hope the flight, jab and Sheringham CP walk (coffee?) go well @BRSBRI, @Muddy Cyclist and @Krystyna23040. Hug for the lentil effect @dunelm and the cold for you and @lindisfel. Slurry time of year Derek- you'll be complaining about cockerels next:angelic:. I hope the calculations go well @alf_Josiah. So some possibly useful links: 7 ready meals for when things open up or get busy. I have a grand daughter in S'oton to see and a spare 2 bed flat there to stay - DIL's parents offer. (They have plenty more options and they live in France) Also some Hot Cross buns to try - high protein and lowest carb I can find. Their rolls are good for burgers if very iffy ingredient wise - palm oil:arghh: but again, high protein. I'd avoid the bread like the plague and pay for next day delivery - several members have had delivery issues. I had mouldy ones due to Royal Mail. Toodle Pip.

Thank you @ianpspurs - still cold - but the sun is shining - what’s going on?
Mouldy old dough - still, the ‘song’ is quite cheerful

Morning everyone.

FBG was a whopper of 6.4 due to stress I'm pretty certain and the topsy turvy day of Tuesday..

Breakfast was only coffee and I left Heathrow at 0615 bound for deepest Bedfordshire. Traffic was fine all the way to Luton.

Already airborne - they were ready, so was I , so we left early. Thanks to my amazing assistant for sorting it all out without whom it'd be even more chaos. The trade off is working all the way there in between meals.

Estimating 9 hours 10 mins to go, a morning arrival the other end.

Breakfast was eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and more great coffee and I'm settling down to work and prep now.

A brunch will be served 90 mins out: selected steak and mushrooms, a salad, berries and Greek yoghurt.

Routing has taken us over Scotland (hello homeland), then Greenland, Northern Canada in that Great Circle before heading down over Washington, Oregon and into Northern California. We're scheduled to pass over the San Francisco and the Bay in the descent to San Jose, landing late morning.

No booze for me as after formalities, I jump into my rental car and drive to the office for social distanced design meetings and my rescheduled annual performance review. Wish me luck!

Tomorrow is 6am till 8pm meetings and reviews now - given my early arrival, Friday the same and Saturday the only day off I'll have till I head home on Air France.

Will chime in later.

Good day to all!
