What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

It recalls a scene one may get at dawn at the volcanic irruption on Iceland.
Some of those net videos could make for an interesting subject for art.

I am glad I do not live near a volcano. I would happily view from afar, although my father in WW2 took photos of Vesuvius when there was some lava advancing and it engulfed a small building in front of him. He told me as a child that the lava only advanced slowly....(?!?) Now I am foolhardy, but not that quite foolhardy...

Hi birdies! Maybe @dunelm will find you some little fishes...
Bring on the rain...too dry here...will save me watering...

I think I have caught up on your posts...now to finish my morning painting. The moon was a very creamy yellow this morning...

EDIT: No, I hadn't caught up. The thread just threw up a whole new pile of posts in the last 24 hours which I hadn't seen, despite going back to when I posted yesterday, so, I am sorry if I have missed someone out...

Yes, I am not getting some previous posts in my thread @jjraak even though I had gone through from my yesterday's post, which should have been a simple matter to see every post. And then they suddenly appeared after I had said I had caught up....

My blood sugars go higher than I would like after eating some foods, even my safe foods. With me, it is very dependent on the time of day of eating foods. And it also appears my control of my blood sugars is dependent on me eating in a short window. However, I cannot eat too much in that short window or else that will make my blood sugars spike (even my safe foods), that is I am not sure I am eating enough food.
I am experimenting at the moment.

White frost and blue skies outside for the the new month.
Until the Sun starts the cloudy day process again, which has been the case this last week.

Its time for all the Skuas to migrate to the North Sea through the Solway and then on into the Arctic but the winds are all wrong.

Welcome to May everyone. Quite the day May 1st. Wonderful photograph from before WW2 - 1937/8? - of my late father and uncle dressed for the village Mayday parade. (Huge resemblance to cousins and our boys.) Both now lie within 2 metres of each other until the Day of Judgement. May 1 is also the Feast Day of the two Apostles our two oldest sons are named for. Hopefully not as per Flanders and Swann The electrician cometh to call. No fbg as I'm still waiting for any effects from Vacc #2 to drop out. Apologies for any of my posts which seem dismissive. God is working on me but I'm a stubborn old goat. @Muddy Cyclist something to help with your odd fbgs of late and our joint scepticism.

Good start for your Hungry Bird series of paintings. A whole 15 quid for car parts, outrageous.

Thank you.

My feeling is that if carrots and onions don't spike you they are absolutely fine.
Good post and yes @ianpspurs i have thought these may be a problem now. I know that for some time these foods have not caused me any spikes but suddenly perhaps they are. After meal readings are always low 1 or less but have noticed they may be the effect of higher fasting Readings. It's all a changing minefield, I shall find awaythrough it I'm sure but what a pain this journey is.

Right I am back...to mither you lot. My internet went down, so I disappeared into the garden to repair the damage that badger clan did...

Do you think, if I left my phone noise alerts on, which tell me there is noise in the garden when the badger is here (and wakes me up with the torch light flashing away), AND that I managed to obtain one of those noisy football whatumacallits, open a window and crank that round and round, it would frighten the badgers away?

It would certainly wake up those Negaholics next door...and by the time they looked out, there would be no lights on in here...

This digital painting was meant to be a quickie. Took me 25 minutes in the end, so a relative quickie.
I saw a bright creamy yellow moon this morning, so plonked it in here...
Some experiment in this Procreate digital painting as well.

Winner given, but hug for low number also needed.

A moon 'Plonked' into a very well painted landscape, love the colours.

Good Morning and 7.5 for me today. Probably the piece of Chestnut En Croute I had yesterday lunchtime as I can think of no other high carb food I eat yesterday. Yesterday's readings before Chestnut 5.4 2 hours after 6, evening 5.3 after evening meal 5.8 so why the huge number this morning? Could also be caused by the £590 I unexpectedly had to pay for new tires on Wilfrid yesterday, tread looked OK but my friendly mechanic noticed some cracks, young eyes, in the walls. Is it me or are these pieces of rubber lasting less and less miles?

BBQ with son today and some welding of horseshoes to make a climbing frame for the garden. Still all that hot metal will keep us warm.

Keep safe and be amazing.
