What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Lovely blossoms - I really like the background mountains and their splendid reflections.

Good morning all. Well, if you are here you've made it to the start of another day so that is point one on the list of thanks due to whoever or whatever y'all thank. No fbg for me, still mulling over what worked well in 2018 apart from location and absence/gestation of my little passenger. @Krystyna23040 glad the return to in person went well. Even your slower days seem hectic to me but you are soon to be supersonic so all one will see is a blur. @Muddy Cyclist all those modifications to Mrs M C's bike sound very technical and probably £s. The larches looked wonderful. @gennepher I'm glad your sleep was restorative and today's artwork tickles my fancy as it were. I like your bridge. Salmon day here - reduced £s W1 Alaskan wild since you asked - and more importantly, @karen8967 's meme has landed. Totes spiffing.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who woke up this morning where they left themselves last night.

A 6.2 this morning on that evil scheming meter of deception.

Here in Tilehurst Towers it is a trifle ( other puddings available ) windy and for once not caused by my newly discovered vegan diet supplemented with animal protein. I am now pondering about vegan bacon and eggs for breakfast with the addition of low carb bread.

Today was unplanned until I had that new garage door fitted, big misteak ( whoops a bit of protein slipped in there, sneaky stuff protein ), this garage door has lead on to other jobs like sorting out stuff, rewiring and repositioning lights etc.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers it is time to wish you all a great day with the usual caviats. Just a thought @Muddy Cyclist , wow things have moved on hydraulics on treaders , darn sarf slang for bicycles, I am now imagining ape hangers on her bike .

Good morning everyone, a bit late this morning here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of leftovers pilled into the Ninja and cremated in a reenactment of a scene from The Whicker Man rocked in at 6.1 this morning proving that burned sacrifices and prayers to the gods get’s you nowhere.

Bag For Life - increase in price today. We have loads of bags that we have had for many years - in fact Mrs Miggins is the Imelda Marcos of fancy shopping bags. Loads in the car boot and a bag of bags in the porch. I have one bag for life folded up in a coat pocket - It’s not the original - when it wears out, I exchange it at the till. It is, after all, a bag for life so it can be exchanged.

Biscuits - I love a Garibaldi and a fig roll or two - anyone make their own low carb versions? A low carb lardy cake would be good.

Art today - mountains, just for a change. 7 x 3 inches on semi sized paper. Have a fabulous Friday, time for a late koffy.

@dunelm
Please don't get me started on the bag for life scheme, I have had my bag for life for 43 years this September ( I think ), we have had our moments, nearly killed with a rolling pin, threatened with the carving knife, spent lots of time in intensive care, been told exactly what I'm worth and I still not allowed a replacement.

No FBG this morning.
Hope to get back to regular posting once we are settled in France. Setting off in a few hours. I have to drive the car, with a heavily laden trailer. Have had one practice session with the trailer so it's a slightly nerve wracking prospect.
Poor Errant was so distressed by the disruption of packing, he retreated to his bed in the bathroom cabinet for hours.
Am wondering if he will remember La Rocher at all.

All the best for a safe journey - pack as much as you can into the car and balance the weight in that trailer - take it easy - it will be fine. Check your tyres.

I'm sure all our best wishes go with you, Mr Slim and Errant. Bonne chance

Significantly unwoke there Alfred and you are usually such a model of wokeness. New garage door disturbed your equilibrium a tad? Must have altered the feng shui or thrown your cosmic aura out of alignment. Hug a tree, you'll be fine

Love your painting - ZenBrush3 worked really well.

Morning all.

a 6.3 here.

@dunelm.."Imelda Marcos"...

your bag must be like triggers broom by now..

@SlimLizzy
an echo of @dunelms advice.

slow and steady, goes the best journeys

hope errant settles down,
sure he will.

@alf_Josiah ..haha..

if she goes full Angel, i think i found a chapter for her..

@Krystyna23040 , was thinking the same,
that 'energy' in the room of people, probably gave you a boost, I'd of said.

And @ianpspurs , SO spot on.

IF you were a mouse...Krystyna.

Enjoy the day,
and spare a thought for those courageous Balloon sellers today...

I have a pair of good walking boots left to me by my grandfather. Our local cobbler has replaced the soles, heals, segs , tricouni nails and laces several times but now the uppers need replacing - well worth it though as my grandfather cherished these boots.

Hi dunelm,
Its like the axe that was special, the shaft was replaced and then the head needed replacing, but it was still the same axe!

My dear wife reaches 80 in the coming year. She received notification that her State Pension would increase at 80 by the magnificent sum of 25 pence per week.
You couldn't make it up!
D.

Fun Is what it's all about. Very Spring like feel.

Lovely Larch in new light coats. I like how light they are standing on those root structures. Looking forward to Tryfan and wondering from which viewpoint it will be.
Thank you, Tryfan from the North East I think.

Sorry South East.
