What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

We must have the same problem @jjraak!

You must not wee on fairies!

These deluges are a menace!
Thanks for the painting compliment

No idea why you couldn't paste my pic @jjraak
You should have been able to. I had to reduce it to be able to post this morning. So, it was 822kb in size, well under 1MB.

Might be compressed when loaded, and maybe copying adds a little something to put it over the limit ?..

Be interested if anyone could just copy and paste it from your post.

I will look at those links later @jjraak
Thanks
I am enjoying snoozing on the very warm side of a sunny window...

Trying to copy and paste my own pic to see if it is still under one mb...
For your information @jjraak
Yes, it copies and pastes.
Now try to post it, then I will add an edit...

EDIT @jjraak
This site was playing up early this morning. And there are some spell mistakes in this post and some grammar corrections I needed to make, but it wouldn't let me in, so I have never made my corrections. Most of you have read it by now anyway....

The distant sound of drums beats a little harder today.

Seen a post on bbc about govt warning of travel to UK destinations.

Our Local council now advising against trips to Hounslow.

Wonder how many from that area work at the local airport.?

Seems pretty biggish.

Some might have even heard of it

Heathrow

Caustic turn of phrase this young(ish) lady who probably deals with such twerps rather well in the flesh, so to speak. Nonetheless., the gist of the impact of toxic masculinity on politics, therefore all our lives, is well made here. For a lady who has zero time for "The Gaffer", the street dealer seems to be taking all the anger. Time for a long hard look in the mirror/under the microscope for myself as an example and father of 3 specimens of C21st manhood. May not be too comfortable.

Perhaps I have the magic touch @jjraak

Copied and pasted from gennepher’s post but the uploaded image was deemed to be too big, 1.32MB according to my re-siser - weird.

At least she got his nick name right

Great linkage, btw

And he did TRY to show us what a *SS it was early on.

Save yourselves, the Tories are Coming.

Springs to mind.

Been the tale of the UK's pandemic.

* THINK for yourself.
* Do NOT trust the MSM.
* Do your own research & act accordingly

Just like the FA, F1, Schools & parents and millions of others did in the first phase, which FORCED the govt to act.
( Oh and France declaring they'd shut the border to Europe completely, if we don't get our act together, I believe )

For those more nuanced on films

I paraphrase, and give you bob Hopkins, fabulous role & retort in the long good Friday.

Leadership, leadership...'expletives.

* Rhymes with a hit production

good evening all

4.5 today

woohoo! a fairly sunny day after a very damp start with torrents of rain.
mr gee celebrated by spending most of the morning making repairs to his shed window, then we went over to mum's to collect her shopping list only to find the heavy rain overnight had flooded half way up the drive

It happens periodically since the county raised the road when they resurfaced it, they did put an extra drain in at the side of the gate but the constant rain had filled it up with mud and leaves. So that was our afternoon, cleaning out the drain.
Katy thought the puddles on the drive were great fun to run about in

Lovely evening now but we're too 'cream crackered' to take advantage of a walk

Hope your day is treating you well

@RFSMarch - great news!

@Muddy Cyclist - Ah, the paper thing does make sense on those terms
You must be looking forward to your trip, I know I would be

@dunelm - interesting technique by the sound of it, might have a go at it myself, I've seen a few Youtube videos of people doing gel plate printing too, more food for thought
I'm liking what you have done with your new background technique today

@gennepher - many hugs for the soaking and the miserable chilling, it's been doing sudden downpours like that here too glad you have warmed up now though.
A stunning piece of art you have produced, striking and moody background, the trees are great and the people have worked really well, amazing for such a small work area

@ianpspurs - glad you're pleased, mum's lawn is full of puddles so she's not so amused, the reseeded area where the burst pipe was repaired is appreciating it though

@SlimLizzy - looks lovely, very lush (hugs for the hard work though )

art bit -
I have fallen foul of the image size messages sometimes too so I make my images smaller to keep them about half a Gb.

inspired by one of @lindisfel 's lovely photo's (thank you ) and painted on Hahnemuhle Britannia
sort of mixed media, watercolour and pen

Thank you @geefull

Your painting is wonderful. I love it. It looks good on my phone screen, and also equally as good on my larger iPad screen. Beautiful details.
