Ooh! Great recipe find - duly saved. Must also have this on Fish day https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/braised_cabbage_in_a_72453Creative little soul ain't ya? Like most of Elsie's wizard wheezes devoid of any kind of joy. Abandon hope all ye who eat this way, style of thing. Oh, c'mon fella, spam fritters, chips and beans versus Diet Drs cabbage casserole? Only a true believer would take that swap by choice. Eat to yer meter and feel as though you live to 90000000. Yes Billy, honesty IS so hard to find - UK shelves strangely bare - and absolutely what I need from you. I think the Age of Optimism email must be in my spam tray/tin Wait, keto teriyaki sauce, keto sushi?
Glad you liked the recipe. It has taken me six years to find a teriyaki recipe. The cheap musubi mold seems wildly optimistic for the uk. Thanks for your link. I'm not sure about hake or almost any white fish but the general idea seems sound and feasible.Ooh! Great recipe find - duly saved. Glad to read that you are relaxing into the peace and quiet from your neighbors - silver lining from the potentially faulty processor. Loving these inky experiments. Interesting hues coming out of that ink. I have a couple of Pentel ink cartridge brushes so am thinking of seeing what happens with them. Chinese ink does not seem to produce such effects, maybe because it contains glue.Fbg 6.7
To keep you updated, after emails etc, the sound processor has been posted back to the hospital. Long gone are the days when if there was a problem you could just drive there and turn up. Covid has a lot to answer for. After my initial shock of not knowing if it was processor or implant (I still don't), and me being quite upset and actually grieving the loss of external sound,, I'm now loving the peace from the neighbours.I am actually more confident in my deafness. I am more reliant on subtitles/captions, or videos on YouTube etc being stand alone without the need for hearing. I don't have noises startling me now. If this was to continue, but it could be resolved yet, then I still have a couple of sounds I need a visual alert for. Still experimenting with the technical options on that one which is made harder by no one ringing doorbell and knocking on widows (despite written notice)...but, another option might even involve a trip to a dog rescue. But not yet.
EDIT: by the way, I never have silence, my tinnitus has various day/night long parties 24/7
Creative for today.
I decided to put soap in the mister water spray as an experiment. Because I use my fountain pen or other black pens I have, I have to draw on the dry paper first and then spray. This is same black pen as yesterday, which has purple hues when sprayed with water. The soap in the water makes for a lot softer painting when sprayed.
Is it finished? Well it is for the moment, because I intend, at a later time, to cut it in two to create two postcard size paintings to work on yetView attachment 51856 again, that I can use for postcrossing. And this might be the fate of a lot of pic in this sketchbook...
Gorgeous coloursFbg 6.6
Was doing spray water and a different black ink pen. I was drawing the cherry tree in my front garden. The spray water did, well something to it...
So I introduced watercolour...colour is not my thing at the moment...
Then the sun shine blindingly white out of a grey sky, and vanished.
Here is the result.

Hi Dunelm,Good morning everyone from a wonderfully quiet and wind free start here in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of some thick homemade roasted red pepper and tomato soup with a FibreFlour spam toasty (I know) came in at 5.4 this am. Interesting that if you roast an onion, halved but with the skin left on, it produces a better bit of onion to go into the soup - just peel after the roasting like with the garlic cloves.
Email awaiting this morning - I am in danger of losing my British Airways Avios due to inactivity - no s**t Sherlock - so, I have five months better get planning - OR NOT! Just another one of those ‘saving’ cons - “buy three shirts from this unfeasibly expensive shirt bloke on Jermyn Street and get the third one free!” - get lost. Good news in the form of two nice letters - first, my latest guinea pig test by those nice people at Imperial College London indicates that I have again tested negative for Covid - or was it Colic? Next, prize of prizes, the latest winner of the NHS bowel cancer screening test and a special prize is even now winging it’s way towards me like Thunderbirds are go! The latest kits are not nearly as good as the previous ones with the three lollypop sticks in - no AA Milne reenactments here. Results of our reunion last weekend are in and we made just shy of £900 to be split between three charities. Nice. Girl in the bubble is still snoozing upstairs - so is Mrs Miggins. Tricking and treating gangs about this evening - watch your sweetie bowls, get the spelling wrong and productive toxt will turn them all sweaty.
Art bit - saw a photo of some rocks on a beach so made them look bigger. Have the most wonderful day of the month today - you have earned it! Koffy is already in the pot.

We have had crabs and lobsters washing up for a couple of weeks now. First thoughts were that it was due to dredging in the estuary. Next it was storms. Water samples have been taken along the coast and we await results but so far nothing concrete. At this time of year, crabs take to deeper waters so this is quite worrying.Hi Dunelm,
Sad to hear there has been a mass poisoning of sea life off Redcar.
They are not sure if it's actual man based poison or due to a bloom.
In the week the water companies need to step up to the plate and stop putting neat sewage in rivers or farmers putting slurry in rivers. Some hope we have in the climate summit.
When more land was given over to sewage wetlands the rivers were in a better state as was the countryside before death dealing silage took over from the hay meadows which was a living habitat with a marvellous variety of birds and insects.
D.

The smaller pen was my mothers and probably as old as yours - I gave it a soak in water, dried it and put in a new cartridge - works a treat.
I do like your painting @gennepher - adding soap has worked really well. Hope the hospital can sort out your sound processor.Fbg 6.7

Thank you @gennepherRocks on a beach are amazing inspiration @dunelm
I love this bit of art...
Have a relaxing day. My, but Archie is a handsome fella - takes after Mr K obviously. I'm not a fan of carpets but I quite like that one.5.6 this morning. Relaxing with coffee and more coffee as it is much too wet to go anywhere today.
The dogs enjoyed their trip to the pet food shop event yesterday. They had their photo's taken by the rep from the dog food company - which will probably go on the company Facebook page.
Have caught up with all the admin and all I have to do today is lesson planning. I am really tired after all that work but thank goodness for half terms as it is so good to catch up.
Hopefully this is a link to a picture of Archie enjoying his visit to the 20 Church Wardens this week.
