What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hello on another wet and wild day not much sleep due to wild noisy Gales battering against bedroom windows.
So up early again BG was 6.9 but that Birthday Cake was delicious Chocolate with mini Jaffa cakes with orange cream filling and lovely buffet and Hot Pot, great family get together we really enjoyed it all. Jax was having a great time ride along police car bikes but his favourite is still his toy Hoover he loves to push around the house, mummies little helper. For Now

What fun

Greetings everyone on part 4? of #stormgateuk. Brenda from Bristol time. Sorry to be so parochial @Jojo85 but we're (I'm) still sore from The Ashes humiliation. Hug for the damage Franklin - Benjamin, Roosevelt, Stephenson?- is causing in your wildlife haven @gennepher. Wonderful creative again and very appropriate for a storm that the apple - your daughter- didn't fall far from the tree. @dunelm thank you for the art, enjoy the GIB, in all her uniqueness. I'm delighted you see reason over tea first and overjoyed for you that Assam is available. How very louche driving to a Bijou Bistro for Brunch. @Krystyna23040 6K steps were quite enough Ma'am and take care on that part of the A47. The section I know isn't too splendid either. @jjraak I hope the hospital goes as well as possible and do please eat my share of any nuts you like - I absolutely insist.
Sad but inspirational story in today’s news potentially overshadowed by the news of the Queen having COVID and Johnson’s ridiculous Boosterism glossing over his serial failings. Have a song, which seems to be cheery and oozing love. I’m not au fait with the argot. Like @Granny_grump_ I belong in the room labelled Waiting for Heaven. God bless you Jamal and the millions like you worldwide. Yes, controlling The D is important and for me personally sport matters hugely but let’s keep a sense of perspective eh lads and lassies?

No, she didn't!
Thanks @ianpspurs

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and sadly frequently omitted 3 toed Sloths
2 readings this morning a 4.7 then straightaway a 5.3, time to run with the 5.3.

It was my girlfriend number 5’s funeral this lunchtime, Mrs J is still at the wake along with our son’s. Girlfriend number 5 was a formidable lady, did and achieved lots for the locality, Me and me’s left the wake early, simple reason enclosed space, lack of ventilation and masks, aren’t covid precautions wonderful?
Stay safe all.

I’ve gone from staying in. for 22 months to not staying in much at all visited sons last week great grandson 2nd Birthday yesterday tonight it’s 2nd grandson and his partner, she is a Physiotherapist but does party cakes for every occasion birthdays, christenings, anniversary etc. Our youngest granddaughter coming for tea with her boyfriend Friday. I’m loving it all can’t wait to see everyone again after so long. K

FBG has been in the fives all week, but internet access has been spotty and our
short trip to the UK was exhausting. Took us both two days to recover from the hectic schedule. While we were away the mice have been busy, now they have turned to plastic, eating their way through bin bags and various bottles of cleaning materials. You can imagine the mess!!
Doctors appointment for both of us tomorrow, half an hour each. Not sure how it will go, hoping she speaks good English.
Apologies for being so self absorbed, it's a bit of an adjustment, having a different health condition to deal with, esp as it seems a lot of LCHF is detrimental to the other condition and may have in fact helped to cause it.

Oh no @gennepher. I do hope that the cherry trees are OK and that there is not too much damage in your garden. Your temporary bird feeder was a really clever idea.

Coming home this evening saw blue lights ahead. A47 completely closed and we were diverted along narrow country roads. It looks like it is a really serious accident as the Air Ambulance was in attendance and it is still closed for accident investigation work.

I do hope the doctors appointment goes well tomorrow. Hope you don't mind me asking - was it the high fat that has caused the problems.

Don't mind at all @Krystyna23040
Problem caused by the well known phenomenon of reduced tolerance for alcohol. So two glasses is too much for me now and after three am likely to be a stumbling slurring mess.
Am not expecting anything except Doc taking medical history and completing the registration progress, unless she decides to do tests.

Hugs for everything @SlimLizzy
I don't understand how mice can turn to plastic with liquid cleaning materials in. They did the same to me.
I hope the doctors appointments go smoothly. Good luck for them.

Thanks @Krystyna23040
The cherry trees appear to be still standing. They were planted as a windbreak, not by me, many years ago. But 3 storms in one week, and the final winds coming from the sea with Storm Franklin could have been that bit too much for them.
Just some of work to do. And my wood hacksaw needs to come out of hibernation...

Just googled it. A bit scary. You take the best care you can @Krystyna23040

Good to see your post and hope that the doctors appointments go well. I wonder if the Mairie’s Office can help with the mice problem?

Fbg 6.7

The bridge was closed again yesterday because of high winds of Storm Franklin.
Bin collections etc cancelled, plus a pile of other stuff.
And local post office operating on very reduced hours.
We fall apart in a windy storm...

Creative...what did you expect...another castle. Finishing off the English castles for my American pen friend.
Scotney Old Castle done in an oil painting app, and then into iPastel. Mixed media on the iPad, in a way that is not quite possible with real paints. Scotney Old Castle is in Kent, and is now a pretty garden feature in the grounds of Scotney New Castle. Shakespearean plays take place in the grounds, especially A Midsummer Night's Dream with actors leaping out of bushes. (I think Popeye is trying to join in!).

Here it is.

Have a good day somehow.

A hot cup of tea is now needed, the coffee has been drunk...

Good morning everyone from a breezy start here in the dark and dangerous north
Not a great deal of goings on at present but it should warm up as the day progresses. A skip will arrive sometime this afternoon and then the bedroom and dining room need to be cleared in readiness for the floor covering folk tomorrow so we will be sleeping in another bedroom tonight. We will pretend that we are on a short break. We sent for some lateral flow tests last week - I wonder if there is still time to grab some more before Rumple Stiltskin makes us all buy them from Poundland? I shall continue using masks but not now when moving from the sitting room to the kitchen.
Art bit - load a brush with water, then diluted ink, then dip the tip into ink - dry off a bit and then practice some brush strokes. Is it Tuesday yet? Have a smile of a day if you can. I shall now make koffy.

Smashing blending of colours and Popeye right out of the blue. Enjoy your tea.
