What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are more than 15% Neanderthal.
Bloods this morning were 5.3
Busy old day here in Tilehurst Towers and for me heat plays havoc with my blood sugar levels, stress maybe?
Stay safe all and beware of melting tarmac.

5.5 this morning. Blood sugars have taken ages to.get back to normal for me after sconegate. Even though the scone was lovely it definitely wasn't worth it.

Have a dilemma today. If it us cloudy and breezy the hall I teach in might be OK tomorrow evening. But if it has been in full sunshine all day it will be far too hot to run classes.

Met Office says breezy and cloudy all day. BBC weather say no breeze and full sunshine all day. The only thing they agree on is that it will be over 30 degrees.

I am usually good at making decisions but just cannot make up my mind on this one.
For what it is worth, I would say that you already know what you should do but your "sense of duty" is clouding the issue. As always, just ask Mr K but stay away from coffee and Montezumas:angelic:

A scientist such as yourself will already be across all this but in a spirit of friendship here's some sage advice - other brands of kitchen devices are available, just not endorsed by Heston.

Why thank you kind sir, advice read and digested, but it needed seasoning along with the royal colour purple. The Broken Biscuit Company and their work of doom, gloom and despondency in my opinion are no longer not biased, shallow in their depth of reporting and one has to be very sceptical when listening and reading.
Again stay safe, stay cool man, a little sixties vibe slipped in.:).

You've clearly got the most virulent strain of the Trump virus. No known cure but provided you self isolate, froth at the TV and avoid T'Internet, society in general is safe from infection. Please don't tell me you favour Hawaiian shirts :D (One performative post deserves another). Its the Bantz, innit.

@ianpspurs actually I think you are absolutely right. I can't make the decision because I don't want to let class members down. Thank you for putting it so clearly. Decision is now made - I am cancelling classes tomorrow.

The girl @Krystyna23040 dun good. Have another coffee and a square of that which can't be named.

Hug for parking misery. Croydon has lots to answer for such as employing me to teach - I use the word loosely but I learned my trade so to speak - and being responsible for me meeting JKP. The dog looks full of attitude but so much fun.
That's what I thought re the dog :)

Fbg 6.5

Too hot last night for proper sleep.
Garden is very quiet this hot weather.
Yesterday the cats must've been about because the cat food vanished from the dishes.
And the bird life must've been about because the leafy trees were all rustling. And the Bluetit and GreatTit babies were all playing together before they too disappeared and rustled in the leaves.
A raven flew towards my open bedroom door, he looked massive, and I am ready to duck, when he did a slight upwards turn and landed on the bungalow roof!
A few hisses from Midnight as I am detangling him with that comb/brush thing. So, I put it away for the day. But it is a very effective tool. I also have a steel comb with different widths of the steel prongs. I introduce him to that. He is happy and offers his belly, so I go down it gently with the steel comb. He likes the feel of that.
I fell asleep in the coolness of evening, and woke up after it was dark, and all my back doors were still, open, so I went to check on Midnight, but he was focused on something small. I couldn't see it, but a guess would say it was a mouse. I came in and locked up.

Creative this morning is some sketches in the SketchClub app, using the different drawing tools. I haven't done any drawing for awhile and it was very frustrating because I hadn't a clue what I was doing. Then the fourth sketch was trying to do Midnight. But how on earth do you do a black cat with one ear? I didn't draw Popeye (cat) until I'd had him about 20 years. And I have only known Midnight for about a month. I still don't know his character yet.

Time for a hot cuppa.

Good morning everyone on NFF - No Fermals Fryday here in the Exotic East. Even we carb dodgers can safely ditch the 42000 layers normally needed to retain our core temperature and avoid hypothermia for a day. All that and salmon salad for my main meal - fist pump central. Yesterday was Unicorn paddling pool day for No 2 granddaughter then No 1 grandson after his school sports day. Today is keep 10 month old grandson cool and hydrated day. By his grace and in his wisdom God has given me a focus whilst waiting - not always patiently - for some work to start on possibly repairing my broken old body. Elsie may or may not be useful in that process but SSSF always "works". Hugs for people like @gennepher who find sleep difficult in this weather. Personally, I sleep better when unencumbered by covers or layers of nonsense. Thanks for sharing those drawings @gennepher and it sounds as though you and Midnight are really bonding. Stay safe, hydrated and protected form the sun.
Edited to tidy up somewhat.

5.2 this morning. It was lovely and cool at 6am for the dog walk around the park. We are now relaxing in the shade on the patio. With our supersonic broadband and Halo I have a really good internet connection on the patio.

Class members do seem pleased that I cancelled classes today. I.must admit I am also looking forward to a relaxing day.

Must make another coffee in.my lovely new Sage Nespresso machine before I start today's Suduko.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.
5.6 this morning.
Today is possibly a day to stay cool if you believe the BBC’s work of science fiction and fantasy known as the weather ( other wethers available from all good retailers ) forecast ( again other fours available).
Hmm stay cool….does that mean long hair, tie dye tee shirts and flared trousers?
Now I must depart and receive instructions from Mrs J.
Have a, great day all.

Thank you @ianpspurs
I need cool air to breathe otherwise my asthma gets me.
Midnight is doing well, thanks.
I am now reclining on my bed, waiting for the ice maker to churn out ice cubes...
And then a long cold iced drink...
You take care as well in this sun...

The Killer Suduko looks really difficult so I am sticking to The Easier and harder Suduko 's. Do you do The Killer Suduko? Is it as hard as it looks?
I do the killer version on my tablet, it looks difficult, but when you reach a certain point it becomes easier than the standard suduko’s. I set a target time of 50 minutes, but my record is approximately 25 minutes. I do probably 5 to 10 minutes at a time. The hardest part is getting going. Good luck with your suduko’s.

25 minutes is impressive.
