What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning all from what promises to be a thundery day in both East and West East Anglia. Quiet news day yesterday which is what one expects from a strong and stable regime. @jjraak wonderful voices in the sea shanty but I'm sure they are tofu eaters or even worse tempeh munchers - them’s ultra woke. @dunelm thanks for the latest art which I'm certain will provide grofth, grofth, grofth of pleasure. If not just sack it. Line dancing you say? You seem like just the chap. @Patsy B hopefully on the road to recovery and dog walking. JKP has secured a face to face Drs appointment. For a small fee I'll tell y'all how. Now, do I manhandle her through the correct door since that is very trendy in some parts?. Scan day for me today so no zips or buttons in case I blow up the expensive machine or incinerate myself. Truss keeps finding her way into everything. Do be good to yourselves today but not at the expense of anyone else or your own elf n safety (gorn mad)
Thanks @ianpspurs. Hope that JKP remembers where the doctor will be located for the brief visit and hope that they move that metal framed chair out of the way when you jump on the magnet.

All the animals - Jade, Midnight, Ghost Cat, Ammy (all cats), and then the badgers, the foxes, and even Ratty look up to the top of this bush several times a night. It is nearly 3 metres tall, so, what are they all looking at?

I haven't a clue...

Jade

Creative today...something different...
A digital painting of Autumn.
With the outdoors wildlife at night, I was unable to paint or do pastel paintings in the garden this summer. I would leave all my painting stuff out for days on end on a dry spell of weather. But can you imagine what Foxy Loxy and Kissy Kissy would do with painting materials...

I have re done the bird feeders. Reduced them. There were far too many sparrows. Got two brand new ones up. About 3/4 is the sparrow population left. Suited me. It was too expensive. And, they were too darned noisy all day long.

So, now I have a core of about 20 regular sparrows, more females that males, so monogamy might be an issue this year. One robin, one dunnock (it has been here the last couple of months, as has this same robin), and the same MrsBluetit accompanied by a female sparrow (who I am assuming is Little Miss, I cannot tell her from the other sparrows now she has grown up). Mr GreatTit still attends the bird feeder. Blackbirds sweep in occasionally, as does Mr Heffalump (wood pigeon), and Mr Magpie.

I do also get flocks of small birds visiting every morning and evening (without fail), who avail themselves of the insects on the tall willow branches - marshtits and others of that titfamily, and wagtails.

Have a good day.

This is the badger I call Kissy Kissy because it is always trying nose to nose contact with my cat. And this is Foxy Loxy, the friendly fox who often tries the same nose to nose contact with my cat.
In this clip both Foxy Loxy and Kissy Kissy were next to each other rooting in the ground. The wildlife camera caught these two several times that night together rooting in the ground.

Creative today is another Autumn digital painting. The sunset last night was a golden glow, so I used it for this. It can be sunset or sunrise, whatever rocks your boat today.

Have a good day.

Time for a cuppa.

Good morning everyone from day one of the latest edition of The Whacky Races. Put on your pumpkin flavoured lip balm, sit back and relax, this three horse race will be as quick as your weekly bin lorry. Line dancing yesterday - stand back, nothing to see here but useful to indulge in if the queue to the correct door gets a bit rowdy. Best bit of the day (careful!) was an hour on the subject of Pain Medication given by the pharmacist from our local hospital. Today is feet up, relax and be entertained by The Girl In The Bubble. I wonder if we can get swan flavoured ice cream? Art bit - just a touch of detail, more later. Hope your Friday is good to you. My Koffy mug is now empty.

Beautiful creative. I am getting to the edge of the forest just as the sun begins to set on another wonderful day. Video not loading.

The drawing looked different yesterday without the added detail. Yesterday, my eyes saw this as a doorway...not a window...

Have a good day @dunelm

6.3 this morning.
Had such a busy non stop day yesterday that by the time I was due to leave for Norwich to teach classes I was absolutely shattered. Mr K very kindly drove me into Norwich and then picked me up at the end of the evening. I really appreciated the chance to close my eyes in the car and relax. Of course, this is much safer when someone else is driving.

Good morning on Apple Day '22. We have two patio pot trees here unlike the small orchard back home so no cider making anymore and no chickens to indulge but apples there are. Misty start here but mild enough for no heating. Yesterday's scan was swiftly followed by 3 tubes of blood. As at 12.05 yesterday serum blood glucose was 4.9 - meh but mitigating circumstances? @gennepher what wonderful autumnal colours in that creative. Thank you. @dunelm they moved the metal chair but as it was in a mobile unit there were some very steep steps up to the door on which one had to knock (the door) and wait - in heavy rain at the time. On leaving, one was escorted to the platform lift which the nurse operated. Presumably those unable to manage the stairs would have used that platform both ways. Thanks for the slow reveal artwork which is starting to be a daily highlight - when there is no leadership contest. Have a song.

Whoops, overslept 8:28am when I woke up, my plans for this Morening ( all ) are now in tatters and shreds, ahem a bit like a certain political party. Now must dash, sorry but I shall try and catch up on todays posts later.
A 6.3 on that meter.
Stay safe all

Thanks and thanks for the song and words @ianpspurs

Just received notification from Scottish Power that they are paying money into my account as per the govenment scheme to support energy costs. On the government website it has details of what personal data is collected on people receiving the money which states:

"Personal data is information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual and only includes information relating to natural persons who:
  • can be identified or who are identifiable, directly from the information in question
  • who can be indirectly identified from that information in combination with other information."
OK - no problem with that but what is a "natural person"? It could be said that I am quite unnatural, so should I be receiving this money? (I'm not about to send it back, by the way.)

Any the wiser?
Nope, me neither...

Try this one...

Right then. I know that legal terms can be confusing, but this one is just plain silly. Anyway, I can keep the money when it arrives in my bank account - being au naturel, as it were.
