What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning on Apple Day '22. We have two patio pot trees here unlike the small orchard back home so no cider making anymore and no chickens to indulge but apples there are. Misty start here but mild enough for no heating. Yesterday's scan was swiftly followed by 3 tubes of blood. As at 12.05 yesterday serum blood glucose was 4.9 - meh but mitigating circumstances? @gennepher what wonderful autumnal colours in that creative. Thank you. @dunelm they moved the metal chair but as it was in a mobile unit there were some very steep steps up to the door on which one had to knock (the door) and wait - in heavy rain at the time. On leaving, one was escorted to the platform lift which the nurse operated. Presumably those unable to manege the stairs would have used that platform both ways. Thanks for the slow reveal artwork which is starting to be a daily highlight - when there is no leadership contest. Have a song.
Thank you @ianpspurs and my, what a day you had - a go on an NHS approved stair climber, a free shower, a bit of blood letting and a go on an NHS lift operated by a nurse to end on a high (generally decreasing like in a weather forecast). Thanks for the song - nice choice.

In your breakout groups discuss or be disgusted by the attached. If he wins will he be entitled - oh, he definitely fits that description in his opinion- to two £115k PA pensions?

When I retired as a lecturer, one of the restrictions placed upon receiving my pension was not being allowed to teach again, or I would lose the pension. Surely the same should apply in Boris' case. I can't believe that the Conservatives would try to bring him back into office, though. But then, recently, those in government have been doing lots of things I can't believe and yet they've done them.

The two larger foxes that are always together. One of them is rooting on the ground where the pieces of fatballs/logs fall out of the side of the bird feeder.

I was watching the birds as I was putting the SD cards in the trail cameras yesterday afternoon, and together, a flock of bluetits and a flock of pied wagtails flew in. They fed together in companionship on the feeders, and then Midnight walked down the path, and for a second they flew into the trees, then decided Midnight (cat) was not a threat. So, Midnight and I sat on the swing and watched them. That was lovely to watch at such close quarters...

Time for a cuppa.
Have a good day.

Good morning everyone , it’s looking rather damp outside here in the dark and dangerous north. What a day yesterday turned out to be. - GP appointment first thing, new pills and potions issued. Then a follow up call from the practice nurse about my blood pressure - more pills issued so another trip to the pharmacist and then an evening X-ray. Most of all this short term fixes (he says hopefully). Anyhow, it’s allegedly Saturday and there is some feint whisper of a bit of sunshine. Art bit - a bit more detail added. Enjoy the day if you can. Koffy number two just about ready.

Another smashing autumnal piece, lovely.

Good morning all on a bright and mild, if slightly damp, start to Saturday in this part of Breckland . Flight tracker is back especially for one BA flight from the Dominican Republic,. No idea why :angelic: @gennepher thank you for another wonderful creative capturing the colours of autumn in this country perfectly. Also, your use of language is outstanding. The example below conveys a scene and emotions so beautifully just as though the reader is there. Bravo

@dunelm busy day yesterday which will hopefully prove beneficial. Thank you for adding just enough to the latest art to keep me in suspense as to where it goes next. @Krystyna23040 gently does it today - well, as gently as your personality allows - then enjoy a relaxing (for you) half-term. My usual salmon salad became tuna salad yesterday after a wander around the local market. There is now a fabulous cake/coffee/smoothie outlet with all kinds of delights to which I treated JKP, the two grandchildren and No 3 son. I had 1 - not heaped - teaspoon each of two individual cheesecakes; millionaires shortbread and key lime. They were sublime darling, sublime. God further blessed me in being able to enjoy some precious time with those I love. The joy of my youngest grandson on my lap was a rich blessing indeed. Have a simply wonderful day or if that is not possible imagine one.

Thank you very much for that lovely enormous compliment on my use of language @ianpspurs

It has been a hard road to get to where I am now, with words (language) for me. The cochlear implant helped this improvement these last 14 years (even though I have grumbles from tIme to time about it).
I am somewhere now with words (language) that was not possible, prior to the implant (I only knew words from lipreading and text), and I feel now very acutely aware of my prior limitations.

Thank you again for your beautiful compliment Ian.

You are most welcome and I am so pleased for you that all the obvious hurdles placed in your way never discourage you from your pursuit of the support to enable you to live as your abundant talents and drive demand. Many lives, human, animal and plant would have been diminished without your ambition to be everything your gifts allowed., nay demanded Have great day.

Hi Ian, how would you say Proverbs 26.11 applies to the current situation?
D.
A little rude for some but not wrong. Very like all those times in the O/T that Israel was stiff necked and went astray.for example
2 Kings 17.1-23.. Making and worshipping Idols leads to disaster and time in the wilderness which is what beckons if Voldemort returns but people's mileage may vary.

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen and all who’s Morening started in a relaxed mode, more on that later in this posting.
Blood sugars this morning were 5.5 on that meter of etc, etc, etc. I still keep my hammer within reach as a threat.
.
As stated earlier in this post this morning started in a relaxed mode, plinky plonky practice done, koffy drank then a phone call requiring ordinance survey maps and a little trip out to deliver said maps and of course see the grandchildren. That’s the bulk of my morning gone. Ah the joys of grandchildren.
.
This afternoon will now be spent declagging a tap that’s covered in limescale and refitting said tap, then some computery type stuff trying to sort out android, apple and microsoft non speaking to each other problem, later this afternoon my hammer could well get a little, did I write little? It should read a lot of use, but first an old flatulent man’s afternoon nap is required.
Stay safe all, avoid the media and above all else avoid politicians of all parties, garden or otherwise.
