Thanks Ian.Good morning everyone. The results are in and I'm negative for COVID. My serum glucose at 4.25 ish yesterday was 4.4 but since the lab test was up to 3 hrs later it may have been up to .5 higher which would still not be all that bad. The tests were put back by 3 hrs as another patient needed emergency use of the isolation room which meant no visit to Ely Cathedral to see the G4 concert and grandson's choir. After well over a year the roadworks on the Newmarket bypass section of the A11 are finished so the journey to and from CUH is much faster. @gennepher that creative certainly gives the idea of a bitter day so thank you and hug. @Krystyna23040 what a lovely gesture by the pub manager and the food is good so a real winner. Groceries were here by 7.45 am after a 5.30 start in MK. Here's a story to whicih I can all too easily relate https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-63663006. On a slightly lighter but important note linked to the uncivil war some elements of our govt and r/w media want to stoke I'm with this team https://www.theguardian.com/comment...ds-if-only-it-wasnt-so-easy-to-laugh-at-them- Enjoy your day safely with due care and consideration for others.
Thanks but no problem. The other patient needed the room and JKP would have been back far too late from Ely.

I have the worst case of buyers regret ever. The item is non returnable and has significant ongoing maintanence costs. No idea what to do with it now. Its proof that looking good is not enough.
Shock horror - I have had enough of Kiki. She bites and scratches, climbs up our legs leaving claw marks galore. Seems impossible to teach her gentler ways. We have had to cancel going to UK for Christmas because she is not going to be safe around my mother who is 90 years old, with T2 and tending to be wobbly on her feet. Can't get a cat sitter. There are no catteries within reasonable distance. No neighbours handy either. She still has four meals a day and it's not safe to leave her outside in tbe hunting season anyway.
I have several bitemarks on my face and hands along with literally hundreds of claw marks elsewhere. Since she now weighs 1.6kg the climbing up requires her to dig her claws into our flesh, lea I g many wounds.

Yes pasta and bread are my BG demons probably because I love them so much lol . To be honest I only test before and after meals now and then mainly because of the cost.Does the pasta cause a big difference? For me pasta did not cause a big jump...a small blip...Also i ate about 75g of cooked pasta. However half that amount of rice, or half a slice of bread causes a big jump.
I did start eating a bit of pasta for a couple days because the Libre 3 showed that my BG level was dangerously low. It turned out that the Libre3 was giving a lot of wrong and very low readings. I changed to a Libre3 sensor and it worked a lot better, but still quite different from the blood test strip tests, which are showing higher numbers.
We all mellow with age!Oooh. Nasty.
Such a horrid situation.
If it helps, our belles (a rescue kitten) sounded very similar
Kept attacking our feet ankles
Even snuck under end of bed to bite/scratch those awful bed mice (shapes of feet in bed )
Got so bad I made girls wear anklet bangly things on feet, I had read helps ..seemed counter intuitive But it did to a tiny degree calm the situation
But I still got to the point she was almost feral, and I was taking belles to Battersea to be rid.
Girls argued & cried.
So I postponed it to see if she improved ...
She did over the course of the next month.
Guess the ankle bangles got her out of the attack habit
Still had her moments but nowhere near as bad
For a few years she was mummies cat, I got suffered when I was near her .
Then she just warmed to me.
Began snuggling down/sitting on me/sleeping on me every night...no idea why
But it made me fall in love with her.
And the rest, as they say, was history .
She became officially "my cat' & fur which i am forever labelled as the 'Cat stealer' by Lauren, in humour ....mainly,
but she still holds a small grudge over it, bless her ..
So ...tough, but there is hope .
Best wishes it settles down, asap.
So where do grumpy old men come from....?We all mellow with age!
I asked Alexa and she said "Under gooseberry bushes."So where do grumpy old men come from....?

I love your humour .Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those with webbed feet.
A resounding 5.2 this morning on that meter.
Mrs J has had a communication from the water board saying that the hosepipe ban in this area has been lifted, if they think I’m going to rush out, water the garden and wash the car in this torrential rain we have at this moment. No chance.
News on a personal perspective Mrs J has decreed that this morning I have to undergo drastic surgery on my beard, before I stand in the indoor rain cabinet and also go into Reading for my plinky plonky lesson. Later this afternoon Mrs J will visit that garden centre I wrote about yesterday, Mrs J has realised the total futility of expecting me, me’s and myself to accompany her.
Have a safe day all and if possible wring some enjoyment from it, remember bringing a smile to a strangers face is a tax free gift, now if you don’t mind I’m going to hide the beard trimming equipment. Bah humbug
From better disciplined grumpy young ones.So where do grumpy old men come from....?
