Night time wildlife camera

Marmalade is first. He is very wet and soggy.
Then along comes the fox, Foxy Loxy, who is a little bit jumpy because of the wind chimes, and he did not know where the cats are.
Merlin comes next, and he has a quick feed of the cat biscuits, but he jumps off, and goes round the corner to the kitchen door. For the next hour or so Merlin keeps jumping on the swing, thinking, and then he jumps back off again. Finally Merlin takes up his position in the middle of the swing. But moments later Midnight comes along, and for some reason startles Merlin who jumps off the back of the swing and disappears, leaving the swing unguarded for the rest of the night.

It is raining heavily but the badger, KissyKissy, visits. The badger is looking for food and so hangs onto the swing with his paws and he's sniffing all the way along the swing seat until he gets to the end where the cat biscuits and he's pulling the swing cushions to try and get at the cat biscuits.

Foxy Loxy comes next, does some quick thinking, about if it is safe to jump on the swing. He takes a chance, jumps up on the swing and eats cat biscuits. But he's disturbed by the wind chimes and jumps down. The next few hours the fox is getting up and down up and down off the swing and at one point when the rain is heavy it is like he's sitting on the swing for a bit but the wind chimes disturb him badly, and he jumps down.

KissyKissy, the badger, is back and he wants a good portion of those cat biscuits. He is tugging and pulling at the cushion and rags on the swing, and Little Ted looks as if he is going to come to a cropper. Little Ted is hanging precariously onto the seat...

In some instances, you will see the camera at the other end of the swing recording the same scene, and I have put both clips in one after the other, because it is interesting seeing it from two viewpoints.

Merlin returns, and he has an idea that something has happened but he doesn't stay, and Little Ted is swinging on the swing very close to the edge...

Creative is a lamb digitally painted in Procreate...

It is not finished, its ears are too big, but I keep falling asleep here.

I got drowned seeing my friend yesterday. It was bitter icy weather. I had to come home early, and was unable to pick up some stuff I had reserved for yesterday. I couldn't sleep last night. And so I had to be out early to pick up the reserved stuff, or I would lose it...it was more of those holey honeycomb rubber mats, I want and need to put down round round the garden for my safety. There was no online delivery, because these were the last odd ones remaining in different of the same brand shops where I had got them from the other day.

So, I went to those, this morning, that had confirmed my reservations, one store nearly 30 miles away, had not confirmed my reservation and the weather was foul this morning, so I was not driving there and back on the Expressway, on the off chance, in that. I got drowned again. That driving rain is penetrating.

I am in bed now and all I want to do is sleep, but posting this first.

Those poor animals in my video were absolutely soaked last night in that heavy rain...
I have my electric throw here to keep me warm, but the electric power went off for a brief bit, then came back on again. I need my black living fur blanket...

Zzzzzzzzzz......the lambs have sent me to sleep......

Hug for the soaking and tiredness but it was a close contest between that and winner for the sheep. As your creatives are always so good the hug won out. Hope the black living fur blanket does the trick.

Love this treatment of the subject...

are dogs allowed in Aldi?
Definitely no dogs allowed in Aldi. They did get a very warm welcome at the vets though.

Our vet said that at some point, because of his advanced age, Archie will start to get stiff joints and lose strength. When that happens he will prescribe a monthly injection which will reverse this. I should have asked him if there is something similar for humans.

BG at 2.30 am 8.9. Currently 10.9 (5 am). Had my basal insulin at 2.30 plus pain killers and a cup of tea. Just having my 2nd cup. My eyes are still very sore despite Viscotears. A bit concerned now that it's not settling down. My eye appointment is not until 26 April. Guess I'll start trying to make an appointment with a doctor - or maybe it should be with the optometrist in town. I'll try the GP first.

Optometrist knows more about eyes than the GP doctor, in my experience. GP Doctor knew nowt about eyes. This was back in 2016 when we still had GP in surgery.

Best wishes here, Derek.

Can well understand not wanting to see the 'work' being performed.

No doubt they will give me something to keep me calm plus something to stop me seeing any detail of op.

I'd suggest one of your shoes, placed just under your chin, would likely make it difficult to see ANY of the operating theatre ...

However I'm mindful there is an old lady somewhere looking to be re-homed..

but she's probably looking for something smaller & easier to heat

Best wishes for the day.
May it go smoothly & swiftly .

Morning all

An acceptable six rivers score of 6.0
Not quite McGarrett Plains, but I'll take it, thank you very much .

Strike week been a mixed bag.

Off on Wednesday, so ran Lauren to work .

Not too far from westway (A40)
But thought that would be busy (it was..... solid into town, when I passed by it, coming back )

So took more local roads/rat runs there & back

If anything better than a normal day ...rather odd.

Early start yesterday, and usually cycle to station & get train in (still a bit wary cycling when it's dark ..if van drivers can't see me in daylight.. . type of way )

Googling just left me with 'look for more details at station '. Helpful.

So i bit the bullet and e-biked in.
Ok-ish, however journey home was much nicer

Part of the journey is cycle lane meanders along the river (very peaceful)
And icing on the cake was the horrendous jams I was breezing through, as every local street for a few miles was jammed up with traffic inching across junctions & into turnings, all tooting & daring anyone to stop them ...haha

Gym once home
Tired, didn't want to go, but glad I did

While sessions themselves push us a little the real benefit is the instructor is very capable and has shown how to isolate & train specific muscles as well as more general muscle exercises.

All in all a good few days

Best wishes to all poorly or attending surgeries etc.

May the day go well & you all improve quickly .

I wonder if the Viscotears is too thin. Would this info be useful, perhaps speak to your optometrist and GP : Carmellose sodium

Lovely sheep and such a dreadful day you had. Hope you have a better day today.

Good morning and welcome to a day of ‘In the green’ here in the dark and dangerous north. Grrr! I have chipped a tooth - it’s not painful and I have an appointment for Tuesday to get it molded back into shape. Meantime we are celebrating St Patrick’s Day by goin to the theatre for a rendition of songs labled “Seven Drunken Nights - The story of The Dubliners”. As my maternal grandfather came from Waterford, I am all ready with my atrocious accent. Art bit - as it’s Paddy’s Day - a bit of where giants once trod. Well, the start of it. Have as good a day as you can. Best finish my koffy.
