Thank you for the stupid cashier comment.I think that were just unlucky to get a rather stupid cashier. You were right not to do what he advised you to do.
Am really loving the lighthouses.
The sun has just decided to throw its cloud blankets off, and is shining here now!5.9 this morning. Really busy day ahead. Lovely to see the sunshine.
Good luck for today @ianpspursIt is a (sunny) morning again in Little America but on the chilly side of agreeable. No fbg as Swipeyless since today is a CT scan day and neither the machine nor Swipey feel the wearing thereof is a good idea. The personal is the political they say. I am very conscious that I am blessed to have access to this process when many have had their's cancelled. Also MIL had no issue having a face to face consultation and was issued with antibiotics. Again, not the mundane experience now. Reduced to its most basic, equal access to quality care and "not muzzling the ox" are basic beliefs in all religions. Core Christianity to me - justice. For 13 years UK plc has worshipped some false gods so we are where we are. No Swipey but data galore from Fitbit: weekly summary, overnight stats and yesterday: 11.4k steps, 111 zone minutes largely through yardwork/lawn mowing which is about the right 1/7 per day. My idea has always been to continue that way until, like my father and grandfather, my heart stopped preferably while or just after a day like that. T2 and cancer rather feel like I've completely "failed at living." @gennepher thanks for the lighthouse and well done on being so quick witted of you to deal with the cashier that way. Have a good day y'all - I'm fully focused on succeeding at today.
Kiki is like this. She is still in "don't touch me" mode most of the time and will nip if i do. Its the same with picking her up, although she frequently settles in my arns and purrs after the warning nip. She has also started to occaisionally allow me to sit with her in my arms and then gradually lower her to my lap. Strangely she is happier to be picked up and carried when we are outside. We make very slow progress. Thanks @Krystyna23040
He must've.
He is on the swing at the moment, because I am by the front window waiting for a parcel. And when I lock up I will bring him in, if he lets me, but he can be very opinionated....
Sometimes it is an absolute no no to pick him up.
It is very much on their terms!!Kiki is like this. She is still in "don't touch me" mode most of the time and will nip if i do. C'mon Mrs K.....5.9 this morning. Really busy day ahead. Lovely to see the sunshine.
While I admire & understand that first sentiment, I do have to gently remind you, how many have & still benefit from your (misguided in my eyes ) "Failure"My idea has always been to continue that way until, like my father and grandfather, my heart stopped preferably while or just after a day like that. Jimmy Stewart. Who he? O.K. Alexa has told me but none the wiser really..While I admire & understand that first sentiment, I do have to gently remind you, how many have & still benefit from your (misguided in my eyes ) "Failure"
While I'm sure it's a blip we all suffer & clearly not of the same ilk, it does none of us any harm to be reminded how Jimmy Stewart's wishes panned out.
You would think that they would have had contingency plans for just this sort of a problem. It is really bad that people cannot get really important meds.
Thanks @dunelmGood afternoon everyone, a quick attempt to catch up a bit after a 7 mile wander round Bordeaux on a lovely cloud free day. Smashing lighthouse @gennepher - I that at least. Home tomorrow and being picked up in the morning by our niece and her partner. She is off to Liverpool and on the same flight to Manchester so that was handy. Art bit - something quick and easy. Too late for Koffy now so wine it is.

I agree, but there is nothing in place. You would think that they would have had contingency plans for just this sort of a problem. It is really bad that people cannot get really important meds.
Looks a great route, at least it is on the flat....
Was that the actor James (Jimmy) Stewart, or the racing driver? How did his (whoever) wishes pan out? While I admire & understand that first sentiment, I do have to gently remind you, how many have & still benefit from your (misguided in my eyes ) "Failure"

Thoughtless, careless, ignorant, money pinching - managers/owners. Don't imagine staff are too happy about the situation either.I agree, but there is nothing in place.
