What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I think that were just unlucky to get a rather stupid cashier. You were right not to do what he advised you to do.

Am really loving the lighthouses.
Thank you for the stupid cashier comment.
I lost my confidence a bit after that.
I am always capable of 'fighting' verbally, it is like a reaction from me, but afterwards I feel down about whatever it is.

Thanks for the lighthouse compliment @Krystyna23040

It is a (sunny) morning again in Little America but on the chilly side of agreeable. No fbg as Swipeyless since today is a CT scan day and neither the machine nor Swipey feel the wearing thereof is a good idea. The personal is the political they say. I am very conscious that I am blessed to have access to this process when many have had their's cancelled. Also MIL had no issue having a face to face consultation and was issued with antibiotics. Again, not the mundane experience now. Reduced to its most basic, equal access to quality care and "not muzzling the ox" are basic beliefs in all religions. Core Christianity to me - justice. For 13 years a shouty part of UK plc has pursued some false gods so we are where we are. No Swipey but data galore from Fitbit: weekly summary, overnight stats and yesterday: 11.4k steps, 111 zone minutes largely through yardwork/lawn mowing which is about the right 1/7 per day. My idea has always been to continue that way until, like my father and grandfather, my heart stopped preferably while or just after a day like that. T2 and cancer rather feel like I've completely "failed at living." @gennepher thanks for the lighthouse and well done on being so quick witted of you to deal with the cashier that way. Have a good day y'all - I'm fully focused on succeeding at today.

Good luck for today @ianpspurs
I hope it goes smoothly, easily, and effortlessly.

Thank you for my compliments.

Thanks @Krystyna23040
He must've.

He is on the swing at the moment, because I am by the front window waiting for a parcel. And when I lock up I will bring him in, if he lets me, but he can be very opinionated....
Sometimes it is an absolute no no to pick him up.
Kiki is like this. She is still in "don't touch me" mode most of the time and will nip if i do. Its the same with picking her up, although she frequently settles in my arns and purrs after the warning nip. She has also started to occaisionally allow me to sit with her in my arms and then gradually lower her to my lap. Strangely she is happier to be picked up and carried when we are outside. We make very slow progress.

It is very much on their terms!!

While I admire & understand that first sentiment, I do have to gently remind you, how many have & still benefit from your (misguided in my eyes ) "Failure"

While I'm sure it's a blip we all suffer & clearly not of the same ilk, it does none of us any harm to be reminded how Jimmy Stewart's wishes panned out.

A glorious day yesterday,

Took Ebike out to nearby grand union canal for a trek along canal bank into central london.

Runs (from where I entered just south of harlseden & for my trip ended just west of Edgware road.

8-10 miles round trip Inc getting to canal.

Beautiful sunny day.
Pootled along at a leisurely pace, some walking with bike, some riding.

Arrived at little Venice where visitors a plenty then just past st Mary's to end my trip at West end quays...quite swanky.

Today I ached, so was glad I was only cycling to train station....until I found trains all cancelled :banghead:

So having headed north to the train, I now turned around retraced my steps & headed south to work ..a nice unexpected work out.. :arghh:

Shall sleep well tonight ..lol

Pics to follow once I downsize them .

Enjoy the day.

Good afternoon everyone, a quick attempt to catch up a bit after a 7 mile wander round Bordeaux on a lovely cloud free day. Smashing lighthouse @gennepher - I that at least. Home tomorrow and being picked up in the morning by our niece and her partner. She is off to Liverpool and on the same flight to Manchester so that was handy. Art bit - something quick and easy. Too late for Koffy now so wine it is.

Jimmy Stewart. Who he? O.K. Alexa has told me but none the wiser really..

Phew at last, afternoon all,

Blood sugars
Yesterday a 6.0
Today a 4.4 whoops as I knew me me’s and myself were going to be physically active today, juggling was not the word I would use……

My cafetière broke yesterday, luckily I had an old one so I could have my safety koffy, but it is a large 4 cup version I just have to drink more koffy. Lucky or not?

Not only that the garden hose connector kept popping off my pressure washer spare part ordered.

Since finishing work it has been interesting trying to identify which day of the week is the start of my week but a solution for me is Wednesday is my new start of the week, it’s simple I have my plinky plonky lesson on a Wednesday with the start of a new set of scales and arpeggios to practice therefore Wednesday becomes the new start of the week Monday. Don’t you just love these simple solutions when they just appear out of the ether.

Good luck to those undergoing medical procedures and travelling.

I have just been offered my 7th covid jab, stay safe all.

Was that the actor James (Jimmy) Stewart, or the racing driver? How did his (whoever) wishes pan out?
