No GCSE - 14th birthday.Morning all from a grey skied and much cooler L.A. JKP has been smitten with the gastric bug quite badly but so far MIL is fine. I have some tablets, for both exit issues given at the start of my treatment in case of side effects (I haven't had any), which are very effective. MIL was in the other house last week but obviously travelled with us and is here so ...... @gennepher thanks for the kaleidoscope and video plus the story of #loogate. @dunelm thanks for sharing the developing art. Happy birthday Mr Pickle - is it GCSE English day for him as today is the day?. Maths on Wednesday so a heavy duty few days for students, parents and carers. @Annb I'm glad you felt pleased people enjoyed your food despite the tiredness. Good idea to swerve move more imho. Have a good day.
Interesting article on ACV, thank you.@lindisfel am I right in assuming you are another June baby? Early congratulations and enjoy your time with your daughter. I share my birthday with the UKs worst ever PM and a cousin of mine - ridiculous to sublime there. @dogslife I hope Thursday's appointment is helpful for you. @Annb take it easy with the cleaning but I'm sure Neil will help. Thanks for the good wishes for JKP. No Dioralyte in this town but we brought 1 sachet back. We do have plenty of bottled water and access to my "stoppers" in extremis.. Not sure if this would be helpful but as a wider marginal gain may interest some - key ingredient in my salad dressing but cost has risen alarmingly since last big box ordered.
It was beyond annoying that they couldn't use common sense. At least they have now added a note to my file that next time I ring them I don't need to go over the whole palava again. How annoyingly annoying
Who needs AI when we already have such robotic slaves to dogma
Good to hear Archie back to his old self .
Ooh! Thermodynamics. Not very good at that but you might read This and also the difference between heat and temperature. Other things include metabolic rate, vitamin/ iron deficiency, hydration.Fbg 6.9
Wildlife cameras - that magpie again.
Magpie lives dangerously to get the wet cat food under the swing!
Creative is a kaleidoscope...
Buttercups!
Last night, and the last few nights, the outside temperature was high late afternoon, about 20 to 21 C. But very quickly within a few hours, the outside temperature dropped 10 to 11° C, and then went lower. And I felt cold inside of me, my body core temperature was cold, even though the indoors temperature in my bedroom was 21C all night. I had to get out my winter blankets on my bed and I put on my electric blanket all night.
I googled to try and understand this, because why was I feeling extremely cold inside of me yesterday evening when the actual temperature in my bedroom was still around 21° C? I was beginning to panic. And the thought occurred to me, is this what dying is like, that you get cold inside?
I am a person who likes the temperature to be cold, rather than warmer.
But, I am assuming now, it is something to do with sudden change of barometric pressure along with the sudden drop in temperature.
But despite googling I don't actually understand why I was feeling very cold last night with the barometric change. Can any one explain for me?
Now, this morning, I am sitting on my bed, with the wide open bedroom door into the garden (heavenly Rosa rugosa scents coming in), since 6am, it is 7am now and the temperature outside is 11.5° C, and I do not feel cold, despite having bare arms and there is a cold breeze. My body core temperature is its normal warm this morning.
I never did science, wasn't allowed to do it at school because I was considered being stupid because I was deaf (but that might have been because of an incident with a Bunsen burner...but I could not hear instructions with being deaf...), what I am trying to say here, is there is a lot of basic stuff I don't know even now. Simple explanation (with pictures if possible) please if you can give me one.
A sparrow has flown into my bedroom through the open door, straight to my mirror, which is opposite the door, hovered in front of the mirror, and realised it did not lead to infinity, looked at me, and then flew straight out again...
That was beautiful.
Have your best day.

Smashing photo’s. Sounds fab - will you go back?Morning all.
Almost the end of our hols, but both of us agree, we have fallen in love with Lesbos.
Such a warmth to the people here & even the tourists have been super friendly.
Fbgs have circled 7+ most days I've tested, so wagon clearly needs to be got back on once home.
We travelled more in hope then expectations we might see some of the island .
But the mix of thermal springs, swimming, sunshine, eased the pain & discomfort in my leg.
We met new friends & joined them on trips out, & with their help managed to explore a good bit of the island.
So here's a pic of yesterday's 'Bay of the Day'
And a hilltop view of our little part of heaven.
(Note mount in centre of pic, church of Petra built on volcanic rock )
Best wishes for a good day, all.

They started being productive well before the garden ones. So am expecting them to be over soon.
Great that you got a good crop of them. I do love them and sugar snap peas. Luckily Mr K doesn't so I get to eat the whole pack of them. They started being productive well before the garden ones. So am expecting them to be over soon.
I agree with you @dunelmGood morning everyone on a still quiet morning here in the dark and dangerous north. Happy birthday to @lindisfel as well as Mr Pickle and Mike Gatting. Bit of an unknown today. There is a large inflatable and floating number 7 and also a number zero to dispose of somehow and chicken soup to be made. I like to roast the chicken carcass for a bit and then put it in the pressure cooker to make the stock. Art bit, not going to add any colour to this as I like it as it is. Hope you get that washing machine sorted @Annb. Wrong lettuce seeds - disaster dahrling! Hugs for those who want one and hope that JKP is on the up today. Must be time for koffy (again).

Thanks Ian.Morning all from a definitely not summery L.A. Happy birthday @lindisfel, Mr Pickle, Gatts and D Day. JKP is still indisposed but I finally tracked down Dioralyte in Thetford. @jjraak it looks and sounds as though the holiday has been magical. So pleased for you. @gennepher thanks for sharing the video and kaleidoscope which were both so very colourful. No you were/are definitely not stupid and feeling cold in warmish weather is Toyah here as well. @dunelm thanks for sharing the progress on that structure and the good wishes for JKP. If our son felt remotely like she does and still drove back to Winchester with 3 poorlyish girls it was borderline insane. I'm glad reading the ACV article wasn't a waste of valuable time. Enjoy the chicken soup - Jewish Penicillin according to Lionel Blue. @alf_Josiah well done to all concerned over #dentistgate. @Krystyna23040 I gave a winner for Archie clearly feeling the love and care you lavish on him and is it Poppy? @Annb surely today is the perfect opportunity to chill out and enjoy as much of Em as you can. I hope Neil gets the car sorted at a mutually agreeable price point. I'm awaiting a telephone consultation largely based on bloods taken almost 2 weeks ago. I saw the numbers within 36 hrs so no shocks. Enjoy your day
Lauren is already planning the return visit.Smashing photo’s. Sounds fab - will you go back?
