Thank you @dunelmSmashing. I love the simplicity of it. Must get back to wet paper and spreading inks. Did you use any detergent?
Thank you Ian, I shall bear that in mind. I should get some back up, however Marjorie won't let me out of her sight ATM but I appreciate her concern and hope for some progress.I'm sure your family have told you to take it steady but I'll echo that. Have you considered a smart watch with ecg and blood pressure functions plus alarm call facility? Here's an idea as a starter. No, I'm neither suggesting you are too frail nor trying to spend someone else's hard earned. Just thinking what would have been good for my parents and a brother in Christ. Pretty sure that like my dad you aren't going to change now but you may as well be well equipped and give Marjorie and the girls some peace of mind
A drop of washing up liquid in a spray bottle. Spray the paper - when ink is dropped on it helps it flow - probably breaks the water tension.Thank you @dunelm
No detergent.
Used the dropper in the ink bottle, and drew a few lines on the dry paper.
Then sprayed water on the paper.
Or used a hake brush, and spread water along the ink lines.
What would the detergent do?
Good morning from L.A. on a not especially summery day. POTUS' guardians touched down locally at the weekend so an influx of plane spotters/photographers. @dunelm hug for the hip but thanks for sharing the art. Good news on the fbg after a meal out. The chicken soup sounds as though it will be splendid. I've never found homemade stock or soup worth the effort but may give it another go once the weather is cooler. My grandmother used to make wonderful chicken soup using "boiling fowls" and childhood memories doing what they do no chicken soup comes remotely close to my memory of hers. @lindisfel I hope Marjorie enjoys Tai Chi and I'm glad you took my post as it was intended. I hope the zoom went/goes well. @Krystyna23040 fbgs seem to be coming down nicely. You'll be pleased to know 2kgs of Bulk Powders PB arrived this morning (45% discount weekend, rude to refuse) so if you're in the area .....Here's a little song - and some mildly aspirational togs (think Sea Salt Cornwall/Crew Clothing/Fatface no Rapanui ). Have yourselves a merry little Tuesday, ruby said goodbye long ago. Lyrics here Genn.
Take care @dunelmGood morning everyone from a day of unknown variables here in the dark and dangerous north. Dinner out last night - 5.4 this morning so happy with that. Hip decided to have a melt down walking home and the 15 minute journey took 35 - I think I twisted it (and my hip) fitting the water butt back to both the down- and the-over flow pipes. Multi-tasking can be dangerous! I have just roasted a chicken carcass and it is now in the pressure cooker. Stock needed for soup this evening. Better get a bit of frozen chicken out of the freezer to add to the pot later in the day. Art bit - coming along. Hope your day is a happy one, I shall celebrate my joy by having yet another koffy.

Creative looks amazing just as it is but, of course, it is your creation so adding to it or not is your choice. Loving it without extra though.Fbg 6-2
Had to go out to do messages and stuff first thing...
Wildlife nighttime camera showed a tentative fox, and the badger family.
Creative is an acrylic ink painting with water. This one was done on photograph paper, which is why it had that crackle effrct. I didn't add any black ink drawing to it, but but might do later...
I need a nap now.
Time for a cuppa.

Hug is for the love shown in organising and checking on your wife's meds, wet weather stopping lawn mowing - and also the highlighted. You could have had so many of them when we bought a half pig at the start of Lockdown #1. I'm sure that like all the other cuts they would have been /were lovely examples of their kind but we don't like chops - pork or lamb. Still, the dogs enjoyed them. Butcher has since told us he would/will cut half pig or lamb differently to suit in future. Also assumed everyone likes sausages. Well done on spotting the cause of higher fbg.Yet another cloudy with (meatballs, home made ones!) rain imminent.
Other than the usual chores, it was pharmaceutical Tuesday sorting hat on day.
Trying to work out her cocktail of meds, without her going OD, is part of the day.
Her rememerberitis, has her confused if I'm not there to sort. And I'm aware that there is a possibility of her not being aware that the days pills had been had!
My first fasting was 7.8mmols, but I realised that my hands cou!d do with a quick wash, because of the chores, so under the tsp, paper towel, dry and a couple of relaxation deep breaths. And...........
6.5 mmmm! So I repeated, using the next finger and again 6.5 mmols! I'm going with that! Continues the trend!
Still haven't got the mower out, I want to do it, but you can guarentee, it will start raining! Sod's Law. Or is it Murphy's law? Huge dark cloud from the West outside my window. Where is the sun?
A few chores now before this afternoon. Going to shop for fresh stuff. Before pork chops!
Have a sunnier day that on this part of the North West coast!
Thank you for sharing the wonderful creative. Enjoy the cuppa and nap in whichever order they occur.Fbg 6-2
