What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

It’ll be Frank Wilson next. Pal of mine, her husband is a musician and tells great stories about backing the Ronettes amongst others and Phil Spector pointing a gun at him. Still playing.
You do ron, ron?
Spector, complete nutter, but could turn a tune!
Frank Wilson (you asked?) Was a songwriter first and foremost, after writing and producing the hit, he left Motown to write and produce for other artists.....on another well known label. Just as my namesake did around the same time.

Lovely painting @gennepher

Nighttime wildlife camera...Pa Badger fossicking around, then joined by badger son

Creative is ink painting, but the black line drawing has been done digitally, because these individual ink paintings are going to be used for postcards for my hobby of Postcrossing, and only then will I do an actual black ink brush pen drawing based on the interests of the recipients.

Time for a nap

Despite the strong winds outside, the temperature has already reached 20C...

Have your best day

Those baby/young sparrows are getting very cheeky, they keep flying in and out of my bedroom door (which opens outwards into the garden). Each time they do that, I freeze! And watch! Yesterday, the fatball feeder nearest my bedroom door (just over a metre away) ran out of fatballs twice. And the baby/young birds just sat on the branch and looked at me....I had no choice but to refill...

Good morning everyone and welcome to a dull and blustery start here in the dark and dangerous north. Just out the washing on the line and fed some sugar water to a bee which took a few sips before gathering itself up and flying off. Rain stopped play yesterday with a tap full on and then off action to fool the optimistic into venturing out. Have coat sales fallen into decline? Must be a fashion shift, a bit like tall hats in the 19th C. Watched the first episode of the TV production of Becoming Elizabeth last night - not sure. Better watch another episode. Art bit, slowly slowly. Hope you have a smashing day, I am living this one as if it’s Tuesday. Better make some koffy.

Really enjoying this series @gennepher

Glad I don't have a tv. I don't have to wonder if it is worth losing another hour of my life watching the second episode of a series to see if it has picked up its pace @dunelm

Art bit solidly progressing. You are skilled at these solid stone walls...

Temperature peaking at 17deg C a.t.m.and much cooler at night. Our downstairs bedrooms on the North side of the house don't get warm even in the last heat wave. We would have to fell a lot of trees to make much change in heat gain.

I can see why the little boxes in town with open plan postage stamp sized gardens get cooked. The country is not designed for climate change without air con so in future more people are going to be discomforted.

@gennepher having one system would be so efficient and work really well and would be so much better than the chaotic system at the moment.

I fear that's a dream, if local councils & the car kings of travel can't get one to suit all .

I have to have 3 separate apps to park the car.

One for home area, one for around work & one for around the main hospital I needed after accident

Suppose if I go outside to other councils I'll need yet another app.

So to have the havoc inflicted on you gen by those updates, your absolutely entitled to rant.

Not dissimilar, but bus lane rules & motorcycle parking...mmh.

One big city, so one same system ...not a chance. lol

A dozen variants on bus lane usage, and a myriad of motor cycle parking rules, that enormously hinder anyone trying to motorcycle into London unaware of each council's arbitrary rules

I fear no one gives up their tiny bit of power for the good of the public & a unified system, sadly

I have to agree with you - it's all about empire building and power but there is something very wrong in a society that allows such a situation to exist. The parking fee problem could be sorted easily though, by not insisting that everyone uses an app. There may be other situations where using an app makes life difficult for the citizens of this land and could be legislated for fairly easily by banning the exclusive use of apps to access the service. It is not beyond the wit of man (or woman) to work it out. It seems to be beyond the wit, or desire, of government though.

Morning all from a sub-optimal production of a verisimilitude of a summer's day in L.A. @gennepher thanks for sharing the video, creative and fossicking. I do miss this although I remember Robert Robinson as the host. Today's creative is breathtaking - they are always good but this is different gwavy. @dunelm thanks for sharing the latest update of your splendid art. I googled that programme and found series 2 was pulled - which often means it is pretty good. Considering I ate red meat (steak) and drank red wine last evening, the morning data was wonderful. That combo is usually more challenging for some aspects of this tent in which I live. @Krystyna23040 I hope the weather stays fine for you. @lindisfel the issue of keeping houses cool may be behind the trend for open plan living and one wall of bi-fold doors. Side effects must be big areas to heat for up to 10 months of the year. Shame imho the other gel won Wimbledon but I'm pleased Somerset won the T20 - nice tribute to Barnaby Webber in my mind. Enjoy your day and GOAT or not Novak, man like Ian wants Alcaraz to win.
