What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Enjoy your time with you friend. Thanks for sharing the art update. You just know Rish! is going to claim that as a new hospital since to qualify as a new hospital Anything Goes.

Happy Birthdays...

Thank you @ianpspurs

That will be an expensive haul back...

Coming along nicely, the art bit @dunelm

I was approached years ago by a barn storming believer in the centre of Carlisle who thrust a leaflet in my hands, so I said a quick God bless you, as he moved on.

The leaflet warned me to repent of my sins or else I faced a very hot future in hell.

I wondered How many agnostics he converted into Richard Dawkins type atheists?
D.

I had that very experience a couple of months ago. Such a lovely chap. I did ask him where he had escaped from.

This morning fbg

Libre 4.7 finger prick 5.6
I am looking forward to going to the private physio next week. I am hoping they can find out why when I stand or walk after 15 mins of being vertical I have so much pain in lower back/upper hip it vertically immobilises me.
My sympathies on that it's why I no longer do much of the cooking at home I can't stand long enough to do the prep or cooking at the oven because of pain in back hip and leg on the right side left side is relatively OK. Got doctors appointment next Monday to discuss it.

I tried the prescription covers for my shower. I thought they were going to be a disaster because it was a real struggle to get them on - mainly because I can't reach my feet, so had to struggle to get them on. Almost called for Neil to help, but finally did manage it - exhausted but successful. Then, they were very painful - they just reached above my knees and the tight seal dug in fiercely but it did keep the water out. Next time I'll try the Amazon ones.

On the whole though, they were a success because I did manage to have a shower.

Winner for the fbg but hug for standing problems. 2 Corinthians 7 seems to be trending.

That's one of the reasons I do less cooking these days. Can't stand for long enough to do the prep and, somehow, sitting at a table just doesn't seem to work, then there is trying to stand at the hob, perching stool doesn't allow me to reach the back of the hob.

Hope it all goes well for you and can be sorted. Yours isn't a moan just your maker gently reminding you this isn't how it is meant to be nor will it always be this way. Other views are available imho wrong but still freely available.

I dont know how I managed that. 'vertically' should read 'virtually'.

Just put it down to autocorrect. Your octogenarian club is joined today by the first born of Basil Fanshawe (Joe). and Eva formerly of Dartford. Wild horses wouldn't drag his name out of me not even for brown sugar in my coffee with a side of cake (what, I can't suck it and see if I like it?) which gave me sticky fingers, served by Angie. Hold the goat's head soup though

A private physio gets paid, an NHS physio gets paid. And it should be done as treatment regardless. I just hope it works for you mate, I know that having good physio is so i important to your general health. I have to say since my arthritis took hold, the varying exercises to help have been very good.
Pain management is as crucial and I would ask for some help with that.
Take care mate you'll be doing marathons by Christmas! Or is it fell running. Tried it once! No more!

My best wishes mate

I have spent three hours this morning filling out an online form for caring from the council. I found it very frustrating, some stupid questio questions that had to be answered or you couldn't move on etc. New passwords, so annoying! No wonder my fasting is up!
Why do you have to fill a form for everything?
by now, it should be automatically done on your own computer! Madness!

6.6 after filling in forms and phone calls from council, social services, and so on.
Assessment on offer for a lot of issues. Friday afternoon for the social.
Haven't got over yesterday's trauma, the better half has been oblivious in her pit for most of it, I cooked her tea, then rhubarb crumble as a treat! Lashings of tea! And I hope she is alright later for having enough rest for another doctors appointment tomorrow.
A beautiful sunny morning on the peninsula, but is now clouding over, rain in forecast again. Lancs cricket on YouTube, as I write this. No plans today! But things out of my control will obviously intervene!

Have a lovely day.

Full of admiration for your love and care you show your wife. Take the very best care of yourself. I have a soft spot for Lancs due to a certain Clive Hubert Lloyd - what a guy.
