I won't join in the usual stuff as I'm late on parade. I might get away with it, if I'm quick!
6.9 pre physio, and he put me through it again and I'm aching down me back, into my hips and hamstrings! Mmmmm bacon! And my arms are still sore from the jabs! Defo got a cold! And a headache!

So got back from hospital used bus instead of walking, lazy so and so! But it was due, and it was nearly full! Good news for the peninsula as the buses, trains, ferries are coming back into the metro area control. Overdue in my opinion.
Didn't have long to wait until the plasterer arrived, he has given us a date for repairs, and have asked for the roofers to do their bit first, still not been back!
No infection for Mrs L, confirmed by surgery.
Helped next door in back garden, with his DIY for an hour or so.
Rain has stayed away, tho it was forecast, but the cloud cover is deep, wind has increased this afternoon. Hopefully warmer for number 8's birthday and footie tomorrow! But you never know????
A bit of shopping done and ordered, chores nearly done, egg and bacon. Well writing it down, I've just gotta 'ave it!
I'm knackered, sore, tired, flocked! Lots of birdlife, think the jet stream has them confused??? There were something like two hundred many types relaxing away first thing! And on one of the bigger pitches, it was defo, gull united v pigeon city!

Had another weird dream last night, and having remembered this vivid Technicolor story dream. I have come to the conclusion that, it was a sort of telling off, that I must be stronger and resilient in my anxiety issues, facing my fears, let them worry about me!
I want help with preparation for the future and the anxiety is due mainly to get to know how I can cope with Mrs L, not be frustrated, angry, rubbish at looking after her! I'm not a carer, tho has landed in my lap. I want to help her, I want to understand the methods. Understand what is best for her and myself!
Enough, lovely artwork as always, have I said that I'm jealous, the best painting I have done lately is the new handrails on the stairs! It's not easy when your digits can't grip properly!

F.B.G. 5.6 at 0655. Nothing since 1800 yesterday which is as per usual. Home made mince beef burger from local butchers mince beef , veg mainly broccoli, carrots, peppers and very small baked potato plus strawberries and full fat yoghurt. Marjorie uses kale but I call it sheep food and I eat spinach as well, if its dry when bought

Sea Bass night before as main protein.
A very simple diet. No eating between meals.

Extra virgin Olive Oil used most meals, I have cut out butter since my heart attack.

5.9 this morning. Have got a 45 minute break today. Not because of good planning but because one of my lunchtime 1:1s has got covid.

Just relaxing in the conservatory a little bit longer then off to Norwich classes.
 
Morning all. @jjraak wonderful to see you here and to read such a thoughtful and caring post. @lindisfel a very sensible way of eating. My grandfather actually called it cattle kale. We do eat it drizzled with EVO and roast. It crisps up nicely if one buys the whole leaf and removes the stalks first - grated Parmesan adds a touch of faux luxury. I imagine a sprinkle of paprika would be good. JKP and the boys like the strong taste when steamed. We will be blessed to have #3 son and partner plus The Little Guy © and his petite Big Sister - thanks be to God. They may invite their cousins from round the corner but those two have a hectic schedule Saturdays - gym, ballet, swimming, cricket, trips out. I have all that and sport to watch at some stage: Spurs, CWC and RWC. Y'all have a good day

That's an interesting observation about the link between no one having broadband and murders in Miss Marples time. If the CEO of Openreach disappeared Miss Marple would need to look no further than our village to find the culprit.

Your keto bagels and cinnamon doughnuts sound really good.

Good morning everyone from a quiet start to thre day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.2 this am. Mrs Miggins made it over the border yesterday, ladened with jars of Scotch Mist and a copy of the poem ‘Halloween’ by Mr Burns. Ostrich steaks last night, purchased in Aldi; high in this, low in that. Interesting but they don’t fly. Art bit, another starter for ten. Hope your day is a good one. Best finish my koffy and get on with the day.


 
Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, ok I know it’s not,but getting out of my bed as late as Me, me’s and myself did it feels like afternoon.
Blood sugars were 5.6
Here in Tilehurst Towers dreadful things are scheduled, Mrs J is insisting that she cuts my hair and trims my beard, that’s going to ruin my audition for ZZ top, also will the zealots still recognise me next Wednesday.
Now it’s time the walrus said to talk of many things, but not now.

@Krystyna23040 good news on having a lunch break however that happened. For me anyhow the baking worked thanks be to God for the Food Fairy. The doughnut recipe will be tweaked but for now melting very dark chocolate and stirring in some cocoa for a topping have calmed things down nicely. That was planned and done by me @gennepher thank you for sharing the creative. I'm taking a wild guess that the window has a meaning but what do I know, what do I know? @dunelm thanks for sharing the starter for 10. We like Ostrich steaks - there is/was a vendor at St Ives monthly farmers market. Bison steaks, reared on the farm and sold from the on site butchery with various exotic meats, are my favourite. That area of Cambs is far more woke than here.

BG 2 am was 10.9. That's after 11.3 before bed. Slowly going down and after insulin and breakfast it was 7.1.

Looking a bit better than yesterday. Pretty chilly here today. Another 3 layer day I think. Beef and onion pie in the oven for later (not sure how the crust will work out - it's another experiment. If it doesn't work, I can always scrape the beef off of the crust.)

Many years ago my husband bought me a new set of stainless steel pans because he had read a report in a Health Food magazine that linked aluminium pans to dementia. I've always used stainless steel or cast iron ever since. Didn't stop his dementia, but that had a different cause.
 
I remember in the early days of this century, the plan was to have free broadband internet, wifi or cable????

Aching after morning exercises, it feels better but still really sore, back and hips ache after doing too much!
Shop and chores done, garden swept of foliage after the wind yesterday cut it tomorrow as I'm off to the footie now.
Grandchild no. 7 has another certificate from gymnastics and passed her entrance to more coaching.
Shall meet grandchidren nos. 1, 3, & 4 at game.
And of course child 1 and 3.
Mrs L has tried to wipe her kindle and nearly had to start all over again, Netflix and every company are looking for cash. They can whistle for it!

Been up most of the night, very tired, will be getting an early night tonight.
