What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Not sure what is happening at present. Oxygen level dropped to 92% and pulse is currently 98bpm. BG also around 11. Not sure if this is a reaction to something or what. Resting isn't doing much - well it did bring pulse down from115, so that's an improvement. Going to take it easy and forget about making food. Should be joining a Zoom meeting at 7.30 but I suspect I shan't bother.

My oximeter gives a reading down to 90% at times whereas Marjorie is 99% most of the time. I do have a collapsed lung and also had a heart attack earlier in year. My pace maker makes the heart rate just above 60 b.p.m. at rest. but it drops to 35 when electric pacing switched off at Newcastle last Tuesday and I later felt strange.
Don't worry Ann. Perhaps an e-consult to your doctor could get it clarified.
Best wishes
Derek

You have a heart full of love and kindness.

Apparently, the job of government was being run by the wife of the prime minister, before, during and after covid. I wonder if the current incumbent is being manipulated by the wife and her father and the money of india!
Conspiracy theories are abound!!!

How did that happen?

Just the perfect amount of colour @dunelm

I don't know what's in this flu vaccine I have been very sleepy since yesterday afternoon after vaccine in am. I could not keep awake watching tele lasts night and was off very quickly when I came to bed.

A glorious cold sunny day in prospect after early frost it is some compensation after the non existent Indian Summer in Cumbria.

But every day of life is a gift
I hope our multi ethnic society allows our Jewish community to live in peace in our country and not export their hatreds here.

Good morning everyone from another bright, sunny yet chilly start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.7 this am. We were out with family early evening, they are up in the Land of the Prince Bishops for the weekend staying with daughter in law’s mum. So, a Thai restaurant owned by friends of our daughter in law. A small place with a small menu of some wonderfully authentic Thai food. Good to see the grandchildren who told us their plans for when they come up for Halloween. The Ninky Nonks are both going to dress as skeletons and Little Miss Pamplemousse as either Harley Quinn or Wednesday (you will have to look them up if you are not with the ‘it’ crowd of seven year olds). Art bit, another starter for 10. I hope your day is sailing fair to the wind. I need some koffy.

5.5 this morning. Another day in the 5s - which is rather wonderful.

It is chilly but really sunny here in central Norfolk.

Mr K is feeling a bit under the weather - possibly from the 2 vaccinations this week.

I had to veto our planned trip to Sheringham Park today because I could see he wasn't well enough to go. He felt bad about that because he knows I really love our Sunday trips out but actually I don't mind a more relaxing day today as this week has been really hectic. So lots of coffee and catching up with the reading.

Morning all from a dry, bright, crystal clear but cold L.A.. Rugby shirt and thermoreg top combo, jeans and socks cold but not base layer cold. @Krystyna23040 hug for Mr K feeling off colour and for you missing the walk but also being so caring. @lindisfel hopefully you too are just feeling the impact of the vaccination. @gennepher hug for whatever made yesterday so bad but winner for the creative. @dunelm the meal and chance to see loved ones sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing the latest starter for 10. @Annb I hope yourself and Neil are feeling better today.Today's theme here is hedonism. Sourdough toast (37 gms) with Rillettes du Mans and a third huge mug of Assam tea to take tablets at 10.00 am then Wagyu brisket for main meal, possibly while watching the rugby. I may even manage to endure a hot chocolate (almond milk, cream, Lidl Dutch processed cocoa) with brandy and a keto cookie or doughnut. It is Sunday which even in Lent is a feast day so why not? Have the best day you can.

They mention Redcar quite a lot, they seem to get in a tizwas about the boating lake!
There are a few artists that frequent a care home nearby who work with the residents doing creative art. Seems to really help in all sorts of ways. People are always moaning about the boating lake for one reason or another - perhaps the council use it as a moaning magnet
