What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Beautiful Alf
Tell Mrs AJ this is brilliant. I would give this a home on my bedroom wall at the end of my bed, for it to be the first (positive uplifting) thing I see when I wake up. I am not surprised it has found a home already...
@alf_Josiah please tell Mrs J I love it.
Me, me’s and myself most certainly will by showing her your post.

Slept through to 5.30 this morning (got to bed about 1.15). BG at that point was 10.9 (finger prick - the Libre had run out). The garden has taken a bit of a battering from the wind, but it's not very wet here at the moment. Still too windy for the ferries to sail. Of course, the wind alone wouldn't be much of a problem, although our ferries do tend to have pretty high windage. It's the swell and the wave heights that stop the ferries. The Minch isn't the calmest stretch of water, especially in a wind either north easterly or south westerly.

Hopefully I will be attaching Mrs J’s latest paint by numbers creation, it was finished yesterday and has now found a new home, a close friend of Mrs J’s is now the proud owner.
If me, me’s and myself are lucky I will taken to supervise the weekly shop, with possibility of being banished to the koffy shop, but who knows, Mrs J does, worryingly Mrs J is quiet.
It might be prudent to keep my head down, but where’s the fun in that.

Very nice painting Alf from Mrs J.
That cat looks like that grumpy little wildcat the Pallas's Cat.

Well my plans are scuppered this morning.
Wellies and Noah's ark are needed.
I thought the worst of this storm was not going to hit us, so the weather forecasters said yesterday.

I have a 4 inch padding pool round my bungalow this morning, But no worries, once it gets to just under my door sills, it runs off down the hill because I am the highest thing around here. But it means the steep hill, the rat run at the end of my road will be a torrent of a river, and the rat run people never take that into consideration when scooting down at 40 (in a 20). So there will be a few meetings with parked cars, lampposts, telegraph poles, and walls all getting on with life minding their own business.

Last night in the early hours there were 2 stray cats sheltering from the rain. Cat number 1 was in Midnight's comfy kitchen chair, cat number 2 was relegated to the comfy cat bed which is under the kitchen chair, and he was growling and objecting....I left them to slug it out. Midnight wanted to make his voice heard, so I had to push him unceremoniously, along the wooden floors into another room.

This morning, only stray number 1 remained. He did have the vantage point.

Midnight has been viewing the cat litter tray with disdain. He I'll only use it under duress, he prefers the leaves in my garden....he is now waiting for the rain to abate....he says he cannot swim...

If the rain doesn't abate, I'll find some stepping stones...

Apparently some local flooring in areas not in flood warning areas.
North Wales area is getting it. Around here, it is rowing boat weather.

6.8 today very wet and footie tonight could be in jeopardy!

My bay window has started leaking and dripping happening, bowl is out as well as towels. It woke me up this morning, have been in touch with housing and assured me that I will be notified early next week when they will see to it, bloody roofers! I
I was also told that when it is raining, no one will come out! This is typical of modern day thinking! I need an emergency response, but can't get it from my housing.
But if the emergency services, police, ambulance, fire, RNLI. Had that as part of the health and safety. What would happen? Sorry! Can't come out as it's a bit of weather happening! Rant over.

Going to empty bowl now.

Good night for the bye elections.
For our sakes. Go now! Listen to the message you idiots!

Stunning, looks like the real thing! Ha!

Seen them live in a nightclub under a certain local train station. The Real Thing I mean!

Went to sleep in chair at c.1330 and awoke at 1500 talkative by 1530 the trees are waving their arms about and the Ash trees lost all their leaves today. The one in the back garden is a big tree now.
It has not been very wet here just very windy.
I should have done a lot more work today but runes were wrong!;)
D.

Correction: A senior moment earlier I didn't see I had put 2330 instead of 1330!

Afternoon all

Mrs J has instructed me, me’s and myself to thank you all on her behalf for your kind comments on her latest art work.
The boss has spoken!
Mrs L has a habit of regaling myself of certain expectations, to her needs!
It is only right and contrite to obey and do as bid!

It always feels as if it is a reward to know you have got one thing right, once daily!

When the king of Babylon was at the fork in the road he considered very carefully if he should take Jerusalem.
I just hope Iran and Syria are more careful today, we don't want a world war.

Nebuchadnezzar looked at his runes, he Shook the arrows, asked of the Teraphim and cut open the liver before he decided to go down the fork to Jerusalem.

You may get the wetness, yet!I
it is currently, light rain with the prospect of heavy at any time, big cost and hiking boots on tonight for match. The wind will not respect talent!
The work will wait!
Just put off today, what you can do tomorrow!
Or is it the reverse?
In that song title?I
Emptied at least a pint that had come through the bay roof so far! Bloody rain, bloody roofers!

Best wishes to you all as always.

All of them, will definitely end up in the bad place, regardless of what their beliefs say!

Good morning one and all. Just thought I'd pop in with an update. After taking the combination of 4 diabetes medications for the past 3 months and stopping the Gabapentin my HbA1c had dropped from 80 to 59. Patient access stated that as abnormal but when I messaged the GP surgery to see if I needed a follow up visit they replied that my result had come up as normal. I will continue with the same medication for the next 3 months and hope my HbA1c improves even more as the past few weeks have included some very stressful times re mum. I wish you all a pleasant and successful day as always.
PS fbs this morning was 7.7
How was it stopping the Gabapentin? I have a burning spot on right foot. I’m now in 75% TIR, but am starting Gabapentin to give time for things to settle. I’m concerned over side effects and when I end taking it. What’s your experience?

I took it because of shingles pain in one arm, I stopped it as soon as the pain went after c.three weeks. Its only any good for nerve pain. Is it neuropathy in your foot? The doctors should find the cause of the pain. You should not go cold turkey you tail it off gradually.
Best wishes Prancy.
