What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Told my brother about my low sat levels and he insists I should see a doctor asap. I'm beginning to think it is, after all, connected to my eye problems that are being investigated. There is a condition that brings together all my symptoms which they may be looking at, but I'm not going to think about that until I have to. It's 93% at the moment. Better than it has been at some stages in the last few days.

I believe you need doctor Bob on the case! (The muppets)

A econsult may be the quickest way to get the facts recorded and dealt with but am afraid eyes are usually a diabetics problem.

Hope Cruella does not learn of this.

Creativity definitely helps with the diabetes blues & taking mind off them, keep painting

Morning all this All Souls Day from a damp and breezy L.A. which is much better than many suffering at the hands of Storm Ciarán. Thoughts and prayers with those affected and with both the faithful departed and those late of this forum we mourn whose relationship with God is between Him and them. @Annb hugs for the latest health issues. As @lindisfel says an e-consult would be judicious. Interesting that my post indicating a lack of close post office got some hugs - why? I can't think of any reason to use one but presumably many need to use one. Almost time to put the sprouts on now Trick or Treat is done. Have a quiet/rowdy/reflective/creative/messy day or just take it as it comes.

Good National bin day Morening Ladies and Gentleman and those who didn’t know it was hexadecagon day last month.

Blood sugars this morning were 6.3 , yep I manipulated things last night just before bed time to get a slightly higher reading this morning. I didn’t want a repeat of yesterday lunchtime and afternoon.
As regular posters, painters and readers will know Wednesday is plinky plonky lesson day and also polite verbal exchanges with the religious zealots that populate the centre of Reading making a nuisance of themselves.
Just before my lesson commenced me, me’s and myself felt very shaky and trouble in thinking, a very shaky finger prick revealed blood sugars of 4.6 this was after my lunch, a quick sugar tablet then into my lesson, whoops I should have taken 2 pills. Cminor scale never sounded so bad, new incorrect notes abounded sharps and flats.
Needless to say Cminor scale appears on my homework list again. Drat, double drat.

The religious zealots left me alone thankfully.

Today here in Tilehurst Towers Mrs J has gone to the local supermarket. Mrs J not so politely declined my kind offer of helping her with the shopping but has left me to perform domestic tasks and on her return an inspection will take place. My ambition will be to fail said inspection, but not so disastrously that things get thrown in my direction, this will take careful planning.
Now it’s time to put plans into action.
Have a great day, stay safe and dry.

Good morning everyone from a damp squib of a double dip bin day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.6 this am. Yesterday the grandchildren smashed up their pumpkins. We donned welly boots and waterproofs and distributed the orange mess through the woods. Not as far as the day before but just short of 5 miles at days end. No idea what today will bring hope that there will be a lull in all this drizzly rain for a bit of sun bathing. Art bit, a tree that we saw yesterday. Hope your Thursday is a good one. Must drink more koffy.

Had my eyes tested not long ago - retinopathy fine, eyesight good, no excess pressure. Only problem is close up vision (reading, TV) for which I have fairly weak glasses. Opthalmologist knows I am diabetic but it doesn't explain the problems. However they are looking at Myasthenia gravis (and I am hoping it isn't the problem because I don't like the sound of the treatments for it).

They haven't come north of Stornoway. Ours stopped coming several years ago now. They used to strip our berry bushes (waxwings and blackbirds) but this year all the berries have fallen to the ground (none of the proper fruit bushes have survived here so we don't collect them).

E-consult said see a doctor asap. No advice to offer.
