I believe you need doctor Bob on the case! (The muppets)Told my brother about my low sat levels and he insists I should see a doctor asap. I'm beginning to think it is, after all, connected to my eye problems that are being investigated. There is a condition that brings together all my symptoms which they may be looking at, but I'm not going to think about that until I have to. It's 93% at the moment. Better than it has been at some stages in the last few days.
Signed .I had the same type of text on Monday @lindisfel from the chemist saying the owings had come in. So I went to collect with my owing slip, oh we haven't got that they said, but we have...and she proceeded to rummage through the cupboards for the next 10 minutes. Triumphantly she hands me a Ventolin which looked suspiciously like it was owing from a couple of prescriptions ago. What about these two things, daytime eyedrops and dry mouth stuff on my owing slip from last week I said. I don't know anything about those she said and mysteriously disappears.
I hadn't wanted to go out this morning because of my cold but when I got back from this useless trip, I went on the couch and fell asleep, until now, 2:30 pm. Any spoons I had when I got up this morning mysteriously vanished along with the chemist assistant. And whatever spoon I have conjured up in my sleep, is now going to be used searching Amazon for the daytime eyedrops (the most important thing), which will arrive at my doorstep tomorrow. The dry mouth stuff I get is not available on Amazon...
I feel for you Derek. This is soul destroying, using up/sucking up our valuable energy to survive in our old age.
My prescription was not ready last week either, even though the text said it was ready for collection, and I had to sit on the narrow seat on my walker for nearly half hour while it was done (and then there were still owings). So frustrating, and I went back to bed that day too.
We need everything to work properly, and be organised properly.
I saw an elderly man this morning in the post office upset, because the post office lady said this was the last year the dvla would let you pay car tax at the post office. What do I do next year he asked? Pay online he was told. But he didn't have a computer or internet. He was older than me.

A econsult may be the quickest way to get the facts recorded and dealt with but am afraid eyes are usually a diabetics problem.Told my brother about my low sat levels and he insists I should see a doctor asap. Bird News.
A large irruption Waxwings with 90 in Stornoway today... Mainly seen in Scotland as yet but should come south.
Also a large scale immigration of Short-eared Owls coming in from Scandinavia.

Good morning on a bit of a damp squib of a start here in the ark and dangerous north. Still, the birds seem happy - if birds have those sorts of feelings - who knows. Content maybe, not sure about happy. Marcus Aurelius said that birds caring for their young show a form of natural affection for their own kind, something that humans with all their intelligence sometimes forget. Not sure what The Laird of Glencairn, AKA Mrs Miggins is up to today but I expect that hopping about round Claymores will be on the cards for one of the evenings - probably tomorrow. Strange lot, those Pictish folk, after all our years together I still find them very mysterious, unless of course they are portrayed in daft films staring Australians or some big bloke from Northern Ireland. It probably stems from their towns needing two different footy teams. Art bit, wet and then dry brushwork on some cheap drawing paper. Hope that your day goes swimmingly - in part at least. I shall drink koffy, do my exercises and then practice a bit of calligraphy.

Had my eyes tested not long ago - retinopathy fine, eyesight good, no excess pressure. Only problem is close up vision (reading, TV) for which I have fairly weak glasses. Opthalmologist knows I am diabetic but it doesn't explain the problems. However they are looking at Myasthenia gravis (and I am hoping it isn't the problem because I don't like the sound of the treatments for it).A econsult may be the quickest way to get the facts recorded and dealt with but am afraid eyes are usually a diabetics problem.

They haven't come north of Stornoway. Ours stopped coming several years ago now. They used to strip our berry bushes (waxwings and blackbirds) but this year all the berries have fallen to the ground (none of the proper fruit bushes have survived here so we don't collect them).Bird News.

E-consult said see a doctor asap. No advice to offer.Morning all this All Souls Day from a damp and breezy L.A. which is much better than many suffering at the hands of Storm Ciarán. Thoughts and prayers with those affected and with both the faithful departed and those late of this forum we mourn whose relationship with God is between Him and them. @Annb hugs for the latest health issues. As @lindisfel says an e-consult would be judicious. Interesting that my post indicating a lack of close post office got some hugs - why? I can't think of any reason to use one but presumably many need to use one. Almost time to put the sprouts on now Trick or Treat is done. Have a quiet/rowdy/reflective/creative/messy day or just take it as it comes.
