it was slightly overdone but i didn'tcare, a couple of eggs to go with! You are doing as well as you can @Lamont D
It is a heck of a pressure to be under.
Maybe I am wrong but I would think it reasonable to walk away from that kind of verbal onslaught. You cannot stand there and keep on taking it.
Hope the gammon was good...
A couple of runny eggs for me please...oh, go on...3 eggs for me...it was slightly overdone but i didn'tcare, a couple of eggs to go with!
My take on religion is that I was brought up by very sticked parents and had their religion forced upon me from when I was very young until my teens, it made me rebel very badly. When I had kids, I swore that I would not subject them to it and didn't. I believe in good and bad and have truly seen some evil in my life. Religion causes too many wars and its a personal thing. The trauma of religion still haunts me now in ways that only a person who has been abused by it would understand.Religion? I dont like the brand X or brand Y kind of thing.
Faith is a living thing, a relationship with ones 'Saviour' whose overriding motivation is love for we creatures of frail flesh.
Such a belief system always gives a hand to those in need and the oppressed and this kind of love can be given by agnostics, but often is an overriding desire by those who would try to be like the One they worship in the case of Christians.
D.
You got a hug, but it should have been a winner, you are wise beyond your years @jjraak !And as you point out, it can be the most innocuous of situations that rattle us .
Weird how we don't have that anxiety until something unlocks the monsters in our thoughts.
Then it's all we can do to contain it & keep a lid in it.
( The thought came to me it's like an augmented reality.
A bit like the 'Pokemon GO' game that was in the news a few years back ....the world to everyone else seems normal.
But for the gamers that added overlay adds pokemon's running around....but for us it's filled with monsters. )
Acting normal despite all our senses screaming at us to do otherwise, can be very isolating.
I mean WHO can we tell, without worrying them ?
That's why I'm an advocate of writing it down, or using the friendship of forums like this, where letting someone know of our angst can be such a conduit for those that struggle.
The idea we are unaware of the struggles the person next to us might have, has now tempered my thinking when others act a little 'odd'
Because any one of us could be that person to someone else.
I get it, fella.
Thank you @gennepherPresumably the washing is dry by now, and coffee drunk...
I like these decorator's brush paintings.
Very effective @dunelm
When my four were born, her side, parents, grandparents and church wanted to bring them into the church, as quickly as possible, then christening them asap!My take on religion is that I was brought up by very sticked parents and had their religion forced upon me from when I was very young until my teens, it made me rebel very badly. Guessing that's a hefty sum based on the "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it " principal...(is it really 20k )A youngish lady patient is raising money for a vein finder(s) not the Amazon ones £20 k ones - huge boon to nurses and quite a few patients - mine are apparently top end stuff and I don't need to be calmed first or 2 nurses -
Thank you @ianpspurs. Off centre square identifying as a bauble, bit grüum on the “worth it” valuation so hope the lippy is good. Cornering the market in fine Porcetta - best get myself down to the butcher and grab some before the the rumours start appearing on old loo roll facebook sites. Hope you enjoy not too much of a good thing.Good afternoon all from a gloomy skied L.A. Discovery day here. Part 1 was my small early Christmas present - Grüum lip conditioner - best I've tried but has JKP been reading the enemy of the people? - I cancelled my subscription. Those BTL were several degrees right of Fascism. Parts 2, 3 and 4 were #provisiongate, the Porchetta edit, a new cheese and a new to us Cafe abutting the foodie emporium. JKP may have confused Kgs with Lbs - 3kgs seems like mucho Porchetta but looks divine daahling. Acquired a swordfish steak for this evening (fishmonger voluntarily cut a second piece of exactly 200 gms ) and 2 trout feelays (Yeehaw) skillfully cut from a whole one. The cheese was Stichelton - new to me but we will now buy some on Friday. @dunelm I hope the washing is dry and the meet up went well. Thanks for sharing the wonderful art. @SlimLizzy I found the world tour phrase funny - will you play Wembley arena this time? Special hugs for all those whose problems don't illicit the publicity, sympathy or funding S4C does. A youngish lady patient is raising money for a vein finder(s) not the Amazon ones £20 k ones - huge boon to nurses and quite a few patients - mine are apparently top end stuff and I don't need to be calmed first or 2 nurses - she says if she tells folks she has C they donate easily. Enjoy the rest of your day - I/we've got Porchetta to cook for the next 780 hours - crisping up crackling in the air fryer sounds like a plan. No boasting just trying to find some joy in a huge, stinking pile of slurry.
Not heard of this app but it seems to handle well and enable quite some detail. Lovely loose piece.Fbg 6.7

I have practiced Tai Chi and its something I go back to when my nothing else helps with my mental health. It takes the edge off it a bitAccepting of yourself is quite difficult but removing yourself from the situation and getting some cool air could possibly have been quite a smart move. A great while ago I practiced Kendo and was exposed to Mushin or ‘No mind”. To quote, “Mushin is achieved when a person's mind is free from thoughts of anger, fear, or ego during combat or everyday life. There is an absence of discursive thought and judgment, so the person is totally free to act and react towards an opponent or situation without hesitation and without disturbance from such thoughts.” When I practice the spontaneity of Zen painting, I try for a state of Mushin first, usually by deep breathing. You could look it up on the wonder web if you like, or not. Take care.
