Even the creator allegedly had one day off .6.8 this whatever!
Not much new to impress you lot with, my aches have eased to a dreamless night.
Mrs L is firmly ensconced on the lounge suite, couldn't be ***** with saying front room couch, as potato has been mentioned to me on more than one occassion.
So, lots not to do, busy doing nothing, hasta la visita, baby!
I have an angel rememberance.
Best wishes to you all as always!
Happy New Year. (Mrs L asked when the tree and decs were coming down?)
So I told her Thursday is booked in!
Ok,
What day is it? Mrs L asked.
Haven't got a clue. I said.
Must be New Year, the footie is on.
I replied in sympathy. When is it not on?
Still got the bruises from where I suggested replacing ours with a younger model ....Just phoned the shop it came from - they no longer do repairs. The man who did their repairs has now set up on his own. Phoned him and explained the problem. He agreed with you Ian. The repair would be expensive and a wasted investment on a 15 years old dishwasher, especially a slimline one - harder to repair and so more labour cost. Ah well. I'll leave it until after the bank holiday and then see what I can do. Neil was a bit grumpy when I told him but he was very sleepy (one of his problems is inability to sleep at the right time - doctor says it's because his body is working to something like a 25 hour clock rather than 24 hour like "normal" folk). Maybe he'll cheer up a bit when he's had his sleep quota.
Luckily Neil doesn't believe in violence to man, woman or beast. My money anyway - well, sort of. Meantime it is the bank's money I'm talking about, but that's how they earn their living.Still got the bruises from where I suggested replacing ours with a younger model ....
Not sure if I mentioned, nurse at my rehab group, spoke of some research that finding a date range that reminds dementia patients of times they remember well helps6.8 this whatever!

Ah.... Obviously a 'senior moment'You've confused the meter with Alexa - easily done at our age
Yes, my computer does that and it is so annoying.OR...is it a glitch and give us a small glimpse of the MATRIX...mmmhh.
It's always testing us
Ever wonder how computers just KNOW when something is time sensitive & choose that exact moment to be their most truculent...?
Coincidence...
Me thinks not.
We're all Neo searching for our Morpheus.
Oh you must alway know where you are on the Earths crust Ian.. Just like a racing pigeon!Morning all from a calm start to what one presumes is Saturday here in a very confused town. Not fully English but not brave enough to transition to American. The Englishness is very, very odd - beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. Quite possibly as it is neither wholly in The Brecks nor the Fens - planes, pines and pigs make a peculiar mix. One is more likely to hear a Texan drawl than a soft Suffolk burr. Last set piece family feast here today with #1 son, partner and two grandchildren since we don't really do NYE. Splendid looking forerib of retired-dalry beef - how eco-friendly/woke is “recycling” cattle? - roast King Edward potatoes in November's saved goose fat prepped (par boiled,, shaken well, spread on a roasting tin, fat spooned over while warm then marinated overnight) and proper Yorkshire pudding (beef fat, big tin). Psalm 145 v 16. - thanks be to God. Even Nige would be happy with our food sovereignty (French and Spanish red wine though). There may even be charades part ll. Enjoy your Saturday and perhaps you will be someone's angel just by being you and/or being there.
Yes, definitely replace it as other bits are bound to break down. We had an 18 year old Zanussi dishwasher that worked perfectly up until the evening it caught fire.Just phoned the shop it came from - they no longer do repairs. Interesting, very fluid, organic @dunelmGood morning everyone on a damp start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Painted pebbles now adorn part of the garden and some chocolate decorations are missing from the tree. The visitors are leaving this morning so it’s a safari breakfast. Chaos - one of the Ninky Nonks has, under supervision, prepared bacon and eggs either on or to the side of toast for the three miniature humans and they are busily tucking in. Ketchup is very popular and probably the main ingredient of the dish. The grandchildren have each taken turns at being chef and even made their own chefs hats. The eldest has been trained to cut things like tomatoes and cucumber but the the ninky nonks are still restricted to a blunt butter knife. Art bit - well that was fun. Hope your day is a good one. I need more koffy.

Enjoy yours....
Well earned, I'd say
When I was taught to wash dishes, maybe free or four years old.......Still got the bruises from where I suggested replacing ours with a younger model ....
Mrs L loves Queen, not her maj........Not sure if I mentioned, nurse at my rehab group, spoke of some research that finding a date range that reminds dementia patients of times they remember well helps
Seems the upshot of having music & other reminders present in their daily lives, enhances their abilities to communicate & remember things.
All an awareness I found out about way after mum, sadly.
Had I known better back then, I'd have given that a good old go.
Just thought I'd mention.
I didn't know there were trees on the moon.Fbg 6.7
Had the unexpected day from hell yesterday.
I am still trying to get over it. It has caused me a lot of bother...
I dare not write about it...I just won't stop...
I now need to try to work hard towards forgetting about it...after I take some action about it, which I am in the process of initiating...
And then sleep...
