What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

By 7AM this morning blood sugar was down to 7.5

I have bad earache for the last few days from the ear down to the neck making swallowing very painful and keeping me awake so this morning I gave in and called the doctors surgery to my surprise was given an appointment for 9:30 AM so now have antibiotics for suspected inner ear infection starting to feel better already though still painful but slightly less so.
Hug for the pain of the last few days . Antibiotics seem to be working. I won't say things are looking up with the sore neck.

Considering my mum took me - knowing that she had gone through the same I think she was just confirming that she was not going mad herself! The priest was very interested, but there are many Catholics that are gifted and I often wonder if the priest was gifted also. I fear not the dead but the living and angels come in many shapes and forms. I think Saffy was your guardian angel that night x
Yes, I do agree that Angels come in many shapes and forms.

Good morning all on what I'm provisionally taking as Friday but in this odd limbo time it could be any day. I do hope you are all living the dream - fever, tiktokable or whatever label is most woke/aspirational this week. @Bildad good to see you and I hope your business flourishes in 2024. Since Hephers in Cambridge closed no bookshop will ever quite satisfy me again.
Printed books don't have hyperlinks and a kindle (I think I have 2 somewhere) book limits me to one task if text based. Audio books would probably be my choice these days.

@dunelm and @gennepher thank you both for sharing your creatives be they photographic or artistic. @Krystyna23040 enjoy Blickling Hall. Interesting start to my day. A convoy of eery hi viz shapes with blue lights about 10 feet high moving along the path on the edge Newmarket at 7.20. Then I saw the amazing horses as well. My expected life span is too short to be preparing vegetables so I Waitrosed them today. Pigs in blankets reduced and piled as high as me - possibly an exaggeration. A cranberry and orange Danish each for the gels just for brownie points all done and back home by 8.20. Enjoy whatever day today is.
We had a lovely walk around the lake and grounds at Blickling Hall @ianpspurs. Surprisingly it wasn't very muddy. We finished up at the Muddy Boots cafe where Mr K shared a sausage roll with Poppy and I had a large coffee.

Good that the antibiotics have started working quickly @JohnEGreen and your ear is slightly less painful.

Would be nice if my only mystic things were Deja vu and weird dreams but unfortunately they are not. Weird and wonderful, too many stories to tell! The time slip shop is fascinating!
I assure you that the weird dreams and deja vu I have experienced were not nice. The circumstances, the coincidence of events are very weird and wonderful. If not disturbing.

If not for the people involved in the time slip and as @gennepher described, which was very similar, it would be discounted, just as others have!

Hope you feel better @JohnEGreen , my left side is in pain today, cos I dreamt again last night!

Just get back to the footie.

8.9 at 0320 today. Libre has gone on strike so back to full time use of the fingerprick. Have to wait until after new year now, to get my next Libre sensor to check the monitor out. Keeps asking to start a new sensor (it is new and it is properly attached), saying I have to wait 60 minutes, as normal, and then, at 60 minutes asks me to put on a new sensor. Not sure if it is a faulty sensor, or if it is the monitor. Back to bleeding and bruised fingers. Heigh ho....

Talking about angels. We were birding Budle Bay on the overlook near Waren Mill and I had my first Octavia and I put a front wheel down a deep hole and no way could I get out.

This couple came from no where and he told me to get in and try in reverse.
He picked up that front corner of the car and I got out straight away.
I thanked him profusely and the couple walked on

I turned to the duchess and said I will give him something to get a nice bottle of wine and turned round and they could not be seen on a straight road.

I said that was an angel...he certainly was to me.

Morning all from a calm start to what one presumes is Saturday here in a very confused town. Not fully English but not brave enough to transition to American. The Englishness is very, very odd - beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. Quite possibly as it is neither wholly in The Brecks nor the Fens - planes, pines and pigs make a peculiar mix. One is more likely to hear a Texan drawl than a soft Suffolk burr. Last set piece family feast here today with #1 son, partner and two grandchildren since we don't really do NYE. Splendid looking forerib of retired-dalry beef - how eco-friendly/woke is “recycling” cattle? - roast King Edward potatoes in November's saved goose fat prepped (par boiled,, shaken well, spread on a roasting tin, fat spooned over while warm then marinated overnight) and proper Yorkshire pudding (beef fat, big tin). Psalm 145 v 16. - thanks be to God. Even Nige would be happy with our food sovereignty (French and Spanish red wine though). There may even be charades part ll. Enjoy your Saturday and perhaps you will be someone's angel just by being you and/or being there.

Good morning everyone on a damp start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Painted pebbles now adorn part of the garden and some chocolate decorations are missing from the tree. The visitors are leaving this morning so it’s a safari breakfast. Chaos - one of the Ninky Nonks has, under supervision, prepared bacon and eggs either on or to the side of toast for the three miniature humans and they are busily tucking in. Ketchup is very popular and probably the main ingredient of the dish. The grandchildren have each taken turns at being chef and even made their own chefs hats. The eldest has been trained to cut things like tomatoes and cucumber but the the ninky nonks are still restricted to a blunt butter knife. Art bit - well that was fun. Hope your day is a good one. I need more koffy.

My word! I am lost in admiration of the artwork. Is that what the inside of your brain looks like?
Also admiring the efforts of your grandchildren in the kitchen.
