What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

When my eldest daughter was ill in bed with glandular fever I gave her a bell to ring when she needed us. She thought it was wonderful and started ringing it every 5 minutes. Very quickly I had to confiscate it.

Well done for teaching Kiki how to use the bell.

What a wonderful cat Jimmy was @Annb

Trolls are really horrible @gennepher. I just don't know what enjoyment they get from doing it.

Judith’s cousin’s son died at 22 he had CF but our, nephew who also has CF is now in his forties life can be so random.

Morning all from a quiet start here in L.A, via Cambridge. No fbg as the 8.45 MRI was vital and the Fbg is more a luxury item. MRI early on Sunday is a smooth process with easy parking and running to time just disruptive of my routine. We were back here in time for my 10.00 am tablets with 2 babybels so all good. Interesting points about funerals. I appear to be tasked with writing a will and organising the funeral of my Uncle: not sure about that but there is little to no contract on that side of the family. now another aunt - who was a link - has gone into a home. No one knows where she is and we only found out by pure chance. Said uncle is/can be a difficult customer therefore some, including that sister - have cut off contact. @gennepher thank you for sharing the creative and hug for the troll issue. I agree with @Krystyna23040 (great fbg btw) why do that? @dunelm enjoy the pea and ham soup and thanks for sharing the creative. Enjoy your Sunday everyone even if, like me, you will have chicken: to be clear it is a huge blessing to be able, by God's grace and in His love, to eat food which in and of itself is good just not to my liking as Sunday roast.

Thanks @ianpspurs

wrote the service and his own eulogy which was quite expansive as he was never one for false modesty

Quite pleased how disciplined I'm being.

Got it down to two chapters already....well happy

Glorious moonshine!

Upstairs Mrs L has a small rounders bat, stick to bang on the floor.
Downstairs, it is her verbal commands, which will get my backside off my chair quite rapidly!
My mother, had a way of using my first name to put me on edge, and my mum didn't need to shout, to get me to do chores or errands! Hence I have always had a nickname.

6.4 at 0210 today (went to bed at 2230 so didn't really expect to sleep much longer than that). Up a bit, then down a bit before breakfast. Forgot to take my pills (instructions with the antibiotic to take with food) so had a RyVita and took all my pills together. Tum a bit upset today after having veg soup yesterday - wrong kind of veg but I couldn't resist and it is surplus to requirements. Obviously surplus to my requirements so shan't be repeating it.

Bit sore today so haven't done much but must get started doing the essentials at least.

Neil started taking his laptop apart at about 1800 yesterday and I left him at it, with tiny bits all over the kitchen table, when I went to bed. Not sure what time he got it all back together but he was still up - just heading for his bed - when I got up. Don't know how he has either the skill or the patience - he was replacing the keypad and having to reconnect all the tiny connections between the keys and the electronic parts (whatever they are called) and reconnect the fan before putting it all back together. Just as well there are people who can do these things of course.

Is that moonshine or earthshine, Gennepher? Beautiful whatever.

6.5 this windy morning and it's still cold.
Have battened down the hatches for the storm due in the next few hours or so.
I never had and carbs yesterday and it's gone up, ho hum!
The ice has finally gone.

I want to be treated as a Klingon, when I finally go. That is it.
I wouldn't mind going to medical science but I believe Mrs L has other thoughts if I go first.
However, I'm not going anywhere soon. I have pledged and told each of mine, that I won't even consider it until I have seen a great grandkid.
What my lot do, I won't care. I won't know!

I believe the kids are due around.

I have heard more scandals are being made aware, and the government and civil service are complicit.

My best wishes to you all as always!

A real shame that these people have such sad lives but hopefully ‘servere moderation’ will do the trick. Smashing moon viewed from, well, could be platelets!

I am thinking of getting mine written by some AI programme after setting some basic ideas that involve a motorcycle, some carefully chosen music and a nod to the film Solyent Green.
