What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning toto's...

Hope none of us are in Kansas this morning & all are well ..<pray>

My windy app showing 65 mph winds here in my locality, and it certainly sounded like it at times.

Once or twice the wind dropped and then just roared back up to full speed, slamming into the house. Goodness know what the more exposed northern areas felt like.

No discernible damage to us or those nearby, thankfully

Hope same is true for you all.

Sunday: Lauren out lunch with a friend
So Billy no mates had an M&S range stir fry...prawns etc.
Very nice .

Fbg this morning 7.4....
That'll do nicely, Monsieur M'ter.

Stay safe all.
Son in London in low rise apartment just said what storm what winds?
Typical!
Glad you okay @jjraak
I hope @Annb is okay...

Fbg 6.5

I got backache in bed last night, so ended up getting up and moving around for a couple of hours last night (doing some sorting out of stuff and having a couple of cups of tea) until the pain went. Went back to sleep at 3 am, woke at 6.30am, so that was a few hours of good sleep.

Looking out the window, I appear to have collected someone's cardboard recycle in Storm Isha, but I won't know properly until it's daylight. Hopefully it's no worse than that...

I'll have to check the SD cards later to see how the stray cats and other wild beasties fared, but some stray cats came in the bungalow for food last night, because all Midnight's wet and dry food has gone...

Wildlife nighttime camera from the previous night...
Cat Jade looks at camera then she jumps off & Fox jumps on swing & looks in camera!
42 secs

Creative...digital painting begun in Procreate, and finished in a couple of apps.

Have your best day...

Now a cup of tea and Midnight is mithering me for his food bowls to be replenished...

And a peek outside to see what the storm's wind and rain have done...it is just getting light a wee bit...

Just peeked outside. Midnight is doing his rounds of the garden also. He seems to have discovered the scent of a new cat, but it might not appear on the SD cards. A quick glance just shows someone else's recycle rubbish...but I need to check roof and stuff in full daylight...I did throw out a handful of peanuts out at 3am (because I felt sorry for any living beastie out there in that weather, even I got drowned just going out with the peanuts!), so I am guessing badger or fox were still looking for food after 3am because they have all gone...

My friend in Liverpool just texted...she lives in a high rise, near the top. She was not a happy bunny last night....

Flintshire Bridge was closed last night because of high winds...you would be a mad person to consider going over that exposed site in high winds...

Glad you are OK in this wind @gennepher. Your painting is beautiful.

It was noisy last night, but as far as I can tell, no damage. Building regs here are more stringent than in other parts of the country because strong winds are a way of life here. They do seem to be coming in fast and furious this year but it doesn't often affect buildings, although a few years ago the wind did take off the slates on part of Alistair's roof (it was Neil's roof at the time and the house was being renovated so nobody was living there). Still windy, but Neil has just put out the recycling and compost bins with the hope that they stay upright until the bin lorry comes round.

I slipped up last night and ate far too many nuts (I'd made some spicy nut/cranberry kind of trail mix) so BG went up to 10.6 before bed. 10.1 this morning at 0210. Down now to 7.4 after a cup of hot water and 2 cups of black coffee. Don't know why I am drinking coffee, I usually can't stand it hot, but yesterday and today, that's what I feel like.

Glad you seem to have survived the storm with no damage. Sounds as though the wildlife in your garden were out and about as usual, storm or no storm. Lucky cats being able to get into your kitchen.

A badger broke the cat flap early last year. I replaced the cat flap. Some other beast tried to enter and presumably left the premises with a cat flap as a necklace. I never found that cat flap. Now there is just a hole in the door...I gave up with cat flaps...

Only one of the baby badger cubs came in once last year, it left a deposit...but it never came in again ...

Smashing piece of art, I like how you have used the white on the tree.

Good morning from a brisk and breezy morning here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.9 this am - woops! Apart from the gusts the morning is bright and clear. Washing bedding. (Disclaimer - I didn’t load the washing machine). Took washed bedding out of washing machine and put in tumble dryer. Later - a great big ball of a duvet cover stuffed full of damp sheets and pillow cases because someone, someone, forgot to fasten the buttons on the duvet cover after removing the blasted duvet (please read disclaimer, above). Art bit - a 2” brush, a 3” brush, a sprinkle of salt and some scratches from the edge of an old credit card. Hope your day is OK and that the wind is not causing too much grief. Not planning on going out today so best make some more koffy.

Morning all from a beautifully blue skied L.A. where all our fences and, as far as I can tell, roof tiles made it through Isha. Unfortunately the metal and canvas pergola? of neighbours is a mangled wreck - I know the feeling. No known fbg but part 1 of MRI - head - hunky dory - thanks be to God - which, lets be honest, is far more important. Either poultry farmers have gotten better or yesterday's chicken was a random one because I enjoyed my helping (no breast meat obviously - thigh and oysters) - apart from the idea that seasoning with pepper is ever acceptable. @gennepher thank you so much for sharing that creative - just like a tree standing by the waterside we shall not be moved. @dunelm are you not senior consultant in D and D Towers? Blame goes downwards there as well as SW1A 2AA it seems. Thank you for sharing the uplifting - but not uprooted - art. Today's theme seems to be very arboreal and Reg Dwightesque. @Krystyna23040 wonderful fbg - it was the sea bass wot dun it? @Annb glad to hear building regs are useful there and all is well. Take care everyone.

Just done my Move More exercise class. Oh boy - it hurt today! Managed it though.

Back to say:
Gennepher - love that creative, the tree, the birds but most of all that subtle background.
Dunelm - brilliant scene; can't figure out how you produce the artwork with a card. I can kind of understand how you use the 2 and 3 inch brushes, though I couldn't do it myself, but how you get that detail with a card - it's a mystery.

Than you @ianpspurs. Consultancy in this corner does not include washing, ironing, shoes or handbags.

Than you @Annb. Small ball of paint(s) on back edge of card and scrape.

Never mind the problems we who are basically (patiently or not) waiting for the guy with the scythe, it seems Millenials inhabit a far more complicated world than we Boomers. Huge respect to them for not just curling up in the foetal position in some corner and whimpering.all day This piece of nonsense alone makes one want to hug them and tell them it is ok, I’m here.* “When my body budget was in a deficit,” taken from here which itself was linked from here. By and large when our kids say you don’t understand how things are now we simply really do have no idea. We genuinely live in very different worlds.
* Alternatively they may just need a little Meong/mung - go google it or just go to a staring cafe (New word s'ont? so don't?? no, just a typo)

Impressed with the detail. Outstanding.
Running out of superlatives!!!!

Are we all awaiting the arrival of Jocelyn with bated breath?
This ISN'T the Global Warming I was expecting .. :arghh:

Gutted eBay don't do returns on worn items...all I did was just try them on to do lunges around the house, to make sure 'everything' stayed in place ..
