The experiment went well - positive result but the aftermath isn't great. For some reason BG keeps dropping down into my danger zone and I can't get it to go up again. Chocolate has been my latest resort and I'll see how that goes. I will repeat the experiment with something else, but next time it will be with some protein first. That will at least give my system something to work on and keep me going for longer. But will it stop the drop, I wonder. Worth experimenting. Not that, even if it does work, I will be adding much carbohydrate into my diet.Well that experiment went well and worth repeating. Dear subject A, what would happen if you ate some protein first, immediately before the pasta, perhaps with a bit of olive oil and parmesan mixed in - would it a) make you feel less hungry and b) would the protein cause slower absorption and a lower spike?

Very often we can't see the wood for the trees. We can be looking directly at the thing we are seeking and still not see it. Apparently if you say out loud what you are looking for, it helps. "Birth certificate, birth certificate, birth certificate...." Didn't help but maybe it wasn't directly in front of me.A duplicate marriage certificate is exactly that. An exact copy. However a duplicate or replacement driving licence has a different issue number therefore not an exact copy and if required would derail the replacement process meaning MrSlim would have to restart the tedious process all over again. I can understand why he was stressed about it. What i cannot fathom is why he didnt find it. There were perhaps twenty pieces of paper in the briefcase...
Pre meal readings and post meal readings at hourly levels, will be useful. The experiment went well - positive result but the aftermath isn't great. Hawarden Airport tells me the wind speed is 32knots here. Nearly 60 kph. My trees are beating each other.

It might do @ianpspurs. When I cut out the carbs I decided that I would only eat the food that I really loved. As I had always felt that potatoes, pasta and rice were just tasteless fillers my food actually tasted better.Does food (especially LC/Keto) taste better if one believes the hype/claims?

Smashing example of reprogramming your brain. It might do @ianpspurs. When I cut out the carbs I decided that I would only eat the food that I really loved. As I had always felt that potatoes, pasta and rice were just tasteless fillers my food actually tasted better.
My problem was that I loved the sweet stuff and was struggling to give it up. Then I watched the Panorama programme which was really horrible. It had a huge impact on me as the neuropathy in my leg had taken a turn for the worse.
I think that I brainwashed myself into believing I hated the sweet stuff. I would be in the queue at Costa Coffee staring at the cakes and would repeat to myself over and over again 'what do I want - eat the cake or keep my feet'. I did that thousands of times. It worked as the neuropathy is no more.
Beautiful scene. That sky looks like ours at the moment.Good morning everyone on a brisk and windswept start here in the dark and dangerous north. Still, the sun is coming out and the sky has hints of blue and yellow - might be nice, especially if you are wearing roller skates. Small but significant tasks today. Firstly, I have received a text from the pharmacy to tell me that my meds are ready. I also have an appointment to get a shingles jab from the vampire nurse. Later, out for early dinner with daughter and family at Robert De Nero’s favourite restaurant. Will he be waiting, speaking Italian? Or is it just another disappointing lie to make a song sound trendy. Dreadful thought of the day - should I replace that bit of Beethoven in my funeral notes with the theme tune from that old BBC programme Arena? No idea. Put the chimp back in its box you twit, you won’t be involved so why worry. Art bit - a line of trees, over there. Hope you day is a happy one, I shall drink koffy and do my exercises.
