Good decision to take a rest. Sometimes just resting and recharging the batteries can be the perfect pamper day.Good morning all. fbs was 9.8 at 6am. Giving my weekly walking group a miss today. The experiences of the past few weeks are catching up with me and I'm treating myself to a rest. Still things to arrange but the funeral is not until March 6th so enough time to pace myself a little. Weighed myself yesterday and was surprised how many pounds I'd lost! Having to keep hitching my trousers up! Mr.D says I can borrow a set of his braces if this continues.Best wishes for today and the coming week-end.
Hug for poor Midnight. It must have been alarming thinking the badger had invaded his domain. On another issue - your art is your art. It expresses you and is from the heart. If you were creating your works as a commercial project, playing to the gallery (changing the work to suit the preferences of others), it would be different, but, in my opinion, you should produce what you feel, not what others want you to express.Something funny from last night.
Well, it wasn't funny for Midnight who spent the whole night with me.
I woke up in the early hours as I do.
Decided to do video editing.
Forgot I had the sound on the iPad.
I didn't have my sound hearing processor on...didn't need it.
The badgers are being rumbustious and very playful.
Midnight, as I said was asleep on my bed.
His head shot up very alarmed and looked all over my bedroom.
Then I realised the badgers noise from the iPad was right next to his poor little good ear...he thought the badgers were actually in my bedroom and was very confused...
I had to calm the poor lad down...
Couldn't agree more with that. Who or whatever one thinks one is concealing those deepest wishes, fears and emotions from and however hard - especially however hard - one tries it doesn't work. Usually ends in disaster/tragedy for ourselves and too often others. Ultimately both God, our nearest and dearest and we know, always have if we are honest, thatHug for poor Midnight. Thanks Ian.Morning all from a sunny, cloudless, dry but cooler - < 10c next five days L.A.@dunelm thanks for sharing the art and enjoy the walks, peace and tranquillity. @gennepher thanks for sharing the daffs and for what it's worth, ignore the comments for now. Create and share what you really feel. You are giving a gift, a very personal part of yourself which is brave. Artists, musicians, sportspeople, entertainers are always vulnerable, not hiding. @Lamont D hug for you as your concern - and pain - comes from the same deep well of love, concern and emotion A heady mix which stirs our most human, honest and yes, raw, feelings. IMHO always best to be honest about how that feels otherwise like any pain there is no help anyone can give. What do I know though? Obviously the times, places and means to acknowledge feelings vary but this thread seems to work well for many @JohnEGreen hug for the stress that phone call must be causing you and Judith. @Krystyna23040 good news on the new walking boots - just the one pair? Mr K must have nearly fainted at the shock As for Holkham beach, the schlep for people with toddlers/pushchairs, the elderly or infirm plus the distance to toilets is a good way to keep numbers down. Whatever kind of day your Friday is be honest with yourself - even the Patriachs and the Lord himself had truly awful days. I don’t recall them denying or being ashamed of their feelings. Real love is never a waste of time.
Awful night for you.11.4 at 0530 today. Awful night because my chest was feeling a bit sore. Went to bed about 2230 but woke again at 2345 when I forced myself to wake from one of my suffocating dreams. Didn't dare going back to sleep in bed in case another one happened, so got up and dozed in the kitchen until Neil came through to make his "supper" at 0215. Left him to it and went back to bed and slept until 0530. Too sore to stay there any longer so it was up, pain killers and tea.
Doing bits and pieces until about 1000 when I thought I would make my meal for the day but when I went back to the kitchen, Neil had that big grill in pieces on the hob and using the space around the microwave and oven with his electrical testing tools and an hot air blower. After steam cleaning the grill, it had obviously got some water inside it and was blowing fuses - or whatever things do these days. He had decided it was time to make sure it was dried out and working properly. Now he's using it to make toast - just to make use of the energy it has taken to heat it up.
As a result, I just had a cold chicken drumstick for my breakfast, with a cup of tea. Not something that will keep me going all day so it won't be OMAD today after all.
I get the impression that my infection hasn't cleared up even after the 3 courses of antibiotics, so will have to get in touch with either doctor or nurse again.
If I get not enough blood and have to retry, then it seems to me I haven't been drinking enough fluids. And I might be a bit dehydrated. But I don't get the wrinkly skin, but I do get my flesh not coming back out again when I press it @jjraakAn odd moment this morning.
Testing and swapping fingers , ring finger, pricked not enough blood, so error on the strip...very unusual.
Ok, hop on to the little finger, same issue...another error code.
Notice finger tips look like I've been swimming, You know, that wrinkled look after too long in the water.
Clearly hadn't been .
So one final attempt on middle finger . Success .
Sadly a 7.8...but it was a naughty snack late last night, so rather expected.
Ho hum...on with the day .
Enjoy yours if ya can.
Stop being a snowflake Alfred - pull yourselves together. Teamwork makes the dream work as my Nanny said. So little D, I, C, K became “ **** “ Emery.
Strange old woke world.
I wonder if this post will get got at?

Cheers mate, I believe my posts have become less saga like.Because you are a decent human being, @Lamont D .
Don't ever lose sight of that.
While it's admirable to have the ethos "no man gets left behind "
But even seasoned professionals tell us , at some point you have to help yourself, if you're to be any use helping others.
We all hope @lindisfel will reappear with a sorry tale we'll all be too grateful to hear, as long as he's generally ok.
But coping with things in the meantime, preserves our energies to be there for him, IF needed.
God knows we all need that Group help, at times.
Can't tell you all how much that has meant to me personally.
Hug for the neck pain.
Far too easily done, when lifting someone.
Hope it heals swiftly.
Hard to do, but I'd happily see you post less often if it meant you were helping others in more need.
Just don't forget we're here for you to lean on US when needed.
And as it's always a symbiotic relationship, we need you there for us to lean on, when your able, with your sage like advice .
JJ
Is that a photo of my front garden?Fbg 6.9
The illusion of a clear blue sky is out there. It must be an illusion because the second I go out there raindrops rain on me...
Wild life nighttime video.
Badgers & Foxes & Cats & Foxes & Badgers...
2 min 10 seconds
Condensed from well over 3 hours of constant activity from this lot...
Creative...daffodils again because I am rethinking my postcards...in a few days if I have enough daffodils left to last that time, after the badger is digging everything at ground level up...
Time for a cuppa.
Have your best kind of day...
