What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks @Annb
You will have to wonder...
Ssshhh, but I will let you into a secret...it's a Blacksmith's Smithy...
That must be why I find it so appealing. My grandfather and great grandfather on my mother's side, were blacksmiths (Alistair is built in the same way as them) and my 2x gr grandfather, on my father's side was a blacksmith as well.

If a vivarium is what I think it is and completely sealed @Annb then it would outlive you. No care needed as long as you keep the seal in place and never open it...
I always thought that a vivarium could be either closed (sealed) or able to be opened. I could well be wrong and what I have is something else, because it can be opened.

Thank you @alf_Josiah

No worries and thanks for sending me to google a vivarium which sounds like a wonderful thank you for all you do.

Afternoon.

FBG after an early meal & only water before bed, an ok 7.1

Not too shabby but thought it might be lower ...mmhh

Q. With the PTSD I still get some awful nightmares.

Not all death & murder, last night's was a simple tale

In a part I was riding down a sloping road..young lady crossing with her dog, undecided what to do so she dithered in my path .

I drive through and she just drops the lead, no one hurt and I drove/cycled on

Next part she's coming up the hill furiously looking for me.

For some reason I'm carrying a cat and desperate to avoid her.

I could walk down one of the side roads and avoid her, but I decide to go up the hill on next street.

Cat is struggling to get out of my grip, so I release it telling it to hide, I'm frightened it will give me away......I wake up in dread.

How stupid is that.

Likely that stress impacted my morning fbg ?

Da** it, ain't the mind in it's mad workings just the most awkward, complex bit of machinery....gggrrr.

6.5 yesterday, 6.3 this mum's days.
Migraine all day yesterday, heavy head and eyes today.

Plenty of visitors again today, just be away to facilitate this.
Hopefully back later.
Great to hear from @JohnEGreen,
Artwork brilliant as always.Ok
my best wishes to you all as always!

Back late here, been another busy day, but I spent time watching a new series on the Drama channel with Mrs L. Called The Marlow Murders club.
I enjoyed it.
Wrote by the same guy, who wrote the original Death in Paradise series way back.
Have a good nights rest everyone.

my dreams have been something of a rollercoaster ride of weirdness lately as well.
will tell more tomorrow.
And yeah, I think my FBG suffers from the trauma and sleeplessness.

MrSlim says he can always tell when i am having a tidy up and clear out because the mess gets worse. It sounds as if your situation is similar. I'm sure you will find a way to create a sleeping space for your daughter in the weeks available before she arrives.

Now no rushing out during the night with a bag of seeds and a dibber. Thank goodness that MrSlim is now promoted to useful
To be fair MrSlim is usually useful, but i simply couldn't see the urgency to renovate one of the wagons. A task that took up nearly a week. As for night time gardening - no seeds were planted but I did go out to the greenhouse and light a couple of tea lights to provide a little heat. Keeping them enclosed in old fashioned clay pots turns them into mini storage radiators.
Now that the visit is over MrSlim has started on the next big project - replacing the bath in the family bathroom. It really should not have been neccessary after only a few years but it's an acrylic one and the inside layer has separated from the fibreglass case leaving it wrinkled inside. Very disappointing and a lot of work.

I love this drawing and that your brain is cooperating with suggestions now. It's really just turning your creativity in a different more practical direction. Don't wear yourself out though.

Great colours. Can see you had fun with them.

So I am not the only one @SlimLizzy who makes a worse mess in the process of tidying up...
Thanks.

Good morning everyone on a ready steady go start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Off early this morning, traveling down to South Yorkshire to attend a funeral. Art bit - too much paint. Hope your day is an interesting one. Best get some koffy and go....

******
I had to copy and paste the above to reply...

Hugs for your day @dunelm
The painting is great,

What a lovely gift, AnnB!

I top fish pie with very thinly sliced leeks, then top that with cheese. Works really well. I buy leeks any time I see nice ones and slice them and freeze them in advance so not too much work when preparing the meal.
Cauliflower mash works well as a topping, esp with a bit of cheese added.
