What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @ianpspurs

Does that mean that you don't need to get a new phone? Well done you, if it's fixed.

Good to see that you're home. FBG isn't bad considering. I'm sure that, now you are settled back in your own home that will get back to normal.

BG at 0215 was 6.5. Better than usual. That's probably due to the only carbs yesterday being in the tomato that I put in my frittata for my 2nd meal of the day.

Didn't move around very much yesterday. Very tired and the new pain in my leg kept me off my feet for much of the day. That has improved today, although still there, so I should be able to do more today.

Eventually got a phone call from the solicitor to make an appointment but need now to find the deeds to the house Alistair lives in. I should have realised that, but didn't think. I know it is in a box file somewhere, but with all the uproar in the house now, I'm not sure where it is. Probably in the living room, which I can't get into at the moment - Neil is working in the hallway/front porch and access is too limited for me. I have a few days to find it though, so no panic yet.

Good to read that the new pain is slightly better even if still there somewhat. Can Neal spare some time to search for the box you need or is it in one of those "special" very safe places we all have? Don't do too much today: is Move More still to come this week? Peace be with you.

No Move More this week - Kirsty is on leave but will be back next week. Yes, I'll ask Neil if he can see the box file anywhere - it used to live in my kitchen desk-side shelves but I moved it and some others recently and can't quite remember where I redistributed them.

Stegosaurus.
I thought it was a rather wild bit of country, but looking again, it could be a stegosaurus - along the lines of those sci-fi stories that have trees which are actually legs of some huge creature which move so slowly that movement can't be observed until it is too late.

Thanks @ianpspurs

It looks like it @Annb
The phone is still holding its charge from when I had a rummage in its insides in the early hours.
It is looking like I might get a full day (24 hrs) out of this battery charge.
I have not had that in months and months.

I'll let you all know in 7 days if I am still a very happy bunny with it!!!!

But it is looking more than hopeful.

I was trying to get an appointment with the podiatrist on a Thursday today (the list for the next month has just gone up) but it turns out that she isn't working in Stornoway on Thursdays - she has a clinic in Harris that day. I wanted Thursday because that is the only day my legs and feet are unbandaged first thing in the morning. It means she can only see the tips of my toes which bothers her, but at least that is where the growing nails are kept, so better than nothing. Got my appointment for 25th March. That's normally a shopping day anyway, so that'll fit in with Neil's schedule. Silver lining to a bit of a grey cloud.

I am more than delighted with the battery charge left on my Pixel phone 12 hours later. It is at 80% with the usage listed below.

I have drawn some line drawings in an app.
Sent WhatsApp and text messages.
Uploaded a short video.
Watched 5 mins of YouTube.
And a bit more.
I would say my normal usage of this Pixel phone.

And I still have 80% of battery left...
I am very very happy x

Great to have you back mate!

I'm certain I have seen that view.
colour is fab.
reminiscent of summer twilight evenings.

nice contrast of colours blending into each other.

Thank you @dunelm
Yes you do...
It is wanted "that Snowdonia National Park authorities be asked to only refer to Snowdon as Yr Wyddfa, and Snowdonia as Eryri."
Rightly so.
Wish I could have learned the language
Mainly to understand what the Welsh boyos were saying about me.

6.7 today and average for last week.
I am recovering from two adverse circumstances.
First, Mrs L has again fell over, tripped but managed to do no damage except to her pride.
She had taken a nap on the couch this mid morning and of course my visit to the shops coincided.
Of course, it was this time when I was out that she fell over.
I will add, that my last look before going to the shops, Mrs L was softly snoring.
I am angry at myself for not being there. If I had known, I wouldn't have gone. But waited.
But I do realise that I could have been upstairs, in the garden, or in the kitchen. And it could have happened.
I still feel really guilty.

Second.
I had a really good entertaining football game to watch last night, no, not Arses peno shootout.
But my lot, had something of a change of style of how to play the game. As I say entertaining!
And we won as well, against the top team!
Stunned I am!

Waiting for a phone call from a solicitor who helps with claims. We shall see.
Recommended by doctors to try and claim on my behalf.

Dry this a.m. Now raining, did a bit of a ten minute tidy up after the wind last night. Also cleared some seeds and such around paving. It is a bit warmer but not enough to relax in garden.

Chicken breasts with salad I'm cooking.

And a nice trifle for Mrs L.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Sorry to hear that Mrs L has had another fall. It must be unnerving for both of you. Glad she didn't hurt herself though. You're right though, you can't be by her side all the time with so much that you have to do. No reason to feel guilty but I don't suppose that saying that will make you feel any happier.
