What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone on another day in paradise here in the almost dark and dangerous north. Reunion went well yesterday. Hot (for me) and sunny day which was spent by me mainly looking round public gardens. There is a World Tree Trail with a printed guide, some photos taken as possible future subjects for a splash of ink or so. Dinner went splendidly. Breakfast and departures in a wee while. Art bit, yesterday’s beginning finished off. Hope your Sunday is kind to you. I must make more tea - the hotel koffy is not that great.

It mystifies me too @JohnEGreen. I hope your wound starts to heal soon. It must be very uncomfortable.

Same here. I wake up when it's time to hit hay.

Morning all from a summer's day in L.A. I'm first up here this morning after a comfortable night (no itchy palms ) so I can follow my morning routine which is a blessing not to be taken for granted. Just me, the dogs, tea and quiet morning worship. Being able to ease JKP's burden is a huge tonic. I've no idea why last night was better but it is finally mild enough for the summer weight quilt, I started steroids yesterday and a, new to me, nurse spent a long time (2 hrs?) redressing areas in a way which meant they lasted the day and night. To be fair to the NHS she said we shouldn't be supplying our own dressings and returned later with more supplies including plenty of the vital sterile needles. Thanks be to God. We don't mind supplementing their supplies with items we deem better suited and it turns out they are based 5 mins from us at a large hub (school, library, leisure centre, police and fire HQ, medical staff but not Drs) with a huge free parking area. We would gladly collect from there to save them a journey. @krystyna, @JohnEGreen and @dunelm thank you all for your kindness. @dunelm yesterday sounds good and thank you for sharing what I see as a vaporised dinosaur - wonderful. @Krystyna23040 enjoy Sheringham. I need more tea but I wish you all a peaceful, blessed, sunny Sunday.

One semi amusing thing is that the wound being where it is I can’t see it the nurse on one of the appointments took a photo of it and showed it to me not often someone wants to take a photo of my scrawny posterior these days just hope it doesn’t end up on Facebook one day.

Your extremely brave Ian I can't see such fortitude in others any other way.

Here’s a thought one consequence of key leaving his position at the post office was the accidental leaking of those 550 names and details possibly.
Add in " criminal conspiracy "

Hard to see how further investigations into those involved can be avoided.

Let's hope they get a taste of how the post office managers felt being persecuted.

Great art bit...
Hope you enjoyed that tea @dunelm ...

Gave a hug for that horrible sounding condition, Ian. Might have made it a winner for your stoicism but feel so much sympathy after looking up a condition I'd never heard of before that it had to be a hug for both of you.

Pity the all-important coffee is not so good.

5.3 at 06.30 (I slept in).

Heavy (for me) couple of days when I pushed myself, or rather my legs, too far. It'll take a day or so to get over it, but that's no big deal. At least I managed to stay on my feet long enough to push the legs further than I should've. Some kind of a winner really.

Thanks Derek but this isn't brave in my opinion. The big picture, in my eyes, is to stay as functional as possible to help JKP, our children, grandchildren and other causes I value deeply for as long as possible. One means of doing that is to make myself as comfortable as possible, heal this nonsense asasp, and get back to treating the real problem. That is the earthly issue but is very much what” lead us not into temptation” means imho. That line is intensely practical not "other worldly." The real “big picture” is retaining my faith and praying for the Holy Spirit to guide me to that place/time when it is revealed just what life was always meant to be because, wonderful as so much of my life has been, I/we have only ever seen darkly as if through a mirror.1 Corithians 13:12 .You and a few others here also believe this. For non believers, I'm not trying to prozelytise or convert, I'm laying out what animates me. Low carb/keto was and remains only ever part of that big picture - a tool to use/club in the bag. That is the only way I can tolerate and intellectually justify the, to me in many ways absurd, lifestyle. Rationally, the pursuit of wellnesss is not an end in itself it is ultimately futile. Life only ends one way. Peace be with you Derek.

Too hot yesterday. I slept all day...
Was awake all night...

Nighttime wildlife videos.
This is from a few weeks ago.
In actuality no wild beastie, nor cats, came to visit last night.
Too hot I assume...
A Fox A Badger & A Cat
23secs

Creative...studying some bushes and trees...
On paper using thin Japanese calligraphy pen...
In Snapseed for copyright and name and date.

Too hot again. Temperature in my shaded garden is already 23C and rising slowly ...(App says 19C. App promises me 24 C tomorrow so goodness knows what that will be...)

Already too dry for my eyes, despite eye drops, water misters, moisture retaining goggles etc.

I'll be going to sleep again...

Have your best day...

The sun is out here at the moment, although clouds are promised. Temperature is supposed to be 15 degrees outside and is only a little more in here. |House temperature is set at 18 which should be enough but that's in the hallway, not here in the kitchen. No cooking so far so the temperature hasn't come up yet. Still wearing my 3 layers in the house. Better than too hot though.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Good news on the comfortable night and the warmth and safety of a good morning routine. Prospect of click and collect supplies sounds a good omen.

Yep, a yin and yang hug and a win.

Splendidly understated line of bushes and trees.
