Very sad what happened to your aunt but what a lovely way her daughter has chosen to say the final goodbye to her.

Sad time for you, Ian but it sounds like a very dignified way to say goodbye to her.

Sorry for the ongoing problems with healthcare, but hopefully things will get better from Thursday.
 
BG on the high side still at 8.5 and climbing. In the 9's after breakfast despite a significant dose of insulin.

Our election result won't come in until very late - maybe even Monday. The votes have to be collected from the various islands in the constituency and brought - usually to Stornoway - for counting. If they don't all get here by fairly early on Saturday, they won't be counted until Monday. At least that's how it worked out last time. Of course, they could decide to ignore the Sabbath and do the counting then. I don't suppose they will though - too controversial.

There's doubt this time about which way the vote will go. Our previous MP split from the SNP and stood as an independent. The SNP fielded another candidate, so that will split the SNP vote. The Islands were strong Labour supporters in the recent past so it may well fall into Labour's lap. Time will tell.

Thank you @Lamont D - it might have been something previously seen that popped into my head that I sketched out in outline but no idea really - probably a rock face.
 
6.4 and a very good morning to you all, even though it's aftrrnoon.

First of all @ianpspurs, hope the day is a reminder of our vulnerability, and you find peace with your loss, and your on going issues with your own issues, keep battling mate.

There isn't a blue MP within if not more than 50 miles of my constituency, not one at all in my metropolitan county. All red.
No blue in Wales, only two pliad cymru.
The more interesting info, is who came second?
Well it was greens here, but in others, ref...! were next, to overwhelming majoritys of red.
The blues were blown away in a lot places.
And in my opinion rightly so!
Let us hope and pray (Behave you lot) that our new PM can get things moving quickly and make a difference.
It will take time tho!

Spent most of the morning in the sunshine, in the front garden one of the bushes needed a trim, grass got cut, and weeding done.
Just a thought, no rain, no cold wind, lovely sunshine, a nice summer's day. Pleasantly warm.
It's as if the weather has improved for some reason!!!!!!!

I have done too much, again!
Had a sneezing fit, it hurt my neck, but with the work I had done.
And my hand has been locking my fingers and thumb, after holding a tool.


Mrs L is behaving by having a long nap from mid morning till about a couple of hours ago.
Unfortunately, as you lot will be aware, as soon as my back is turned, that is when the little things happen and of course, believing that Mrs L is not in her sixties, her ability on her own, is not as good as it was many years ago.
No advice from anyone sinks in. No assistance necessary to be mobile, until it does.

Just a final utterance, whilst in early hours seeing the first results come in, Mrs L, stated that her Nan would be disgusted with the results.
Of course, her Nan always voted blue.
For that moment, Mrs L was back to when her Nan was alive.
And, you could see in her demeanour, that she was back as she looked at me.
She does seem to be passing into her past, to refrain from thinking of her grief. That refuses to budge.
