No reason to apologise @Lamont D - some things change and some things remain the same.Have had a bad few days, and not much time to post.
Migraine completely flooded me.
Mrs L has been intolerable. But it's not her fault.
Gasmen have been digging up the road again.
Further down road neighbouring us, woman won't have them in house.
House alarm and fire alarm knackered connection in electrical box, fuse changed.
Mrs L upset me.
Things just not going right, in middle of decorating and it's a mess.
Accidents, quite a few. Both of us have tell in bath taking a shower.
Too hot!
I like the sun but it's just so hot in my garden, around mid 30's in my suntrap.
Gotta go Mrs L, wants a shower

Smashing beans which look as though you might graze on them. Is Mr Slim getting enough sleep with those painful ribs.
@dunelm thank you for your concern. MrSlim had two very painful and disturbed nights. But the ribs are less painful today so he thinks they are only bruised and hopes to be fully recovered for family visit in six days time.Smashing beans which look as though you might graze on them. Dear me @gennepher. It sounds as though standards have slipped since the COVID-19 pandemic.I have Sjögren's Syndrome @LivingLightly
And so I need to drink extra water anyway.
I drink more water than an average person.
But when we get to a heat wave, I really do need more extra water!
But, the point I want to make is, if I am becoming slightly dehydrated (and you would not expect that with the amount of water I drink on a daily basis), then my eyes become blurry, and that is one sign of dehydration.
I had an excellent Continence Nurse for well over a decade (about 15 years), all that went with Covid/Lockdowns/etc. It had been compulsory to see her in order to get my supply of continence pads. She would monitor my fluid/water intake, and I had to measure in a measuring jug the outflow...and fill in a chart for both...
She would also do an ultrasound, send me to the loo, and do the ultrasound again, and always tell me that I hadn't emptied myself enough, my bladder was not empty after I had been to the loo. She gave me strategies on how to empty my bladder better. And one was drinking enough water, it is harder to empty your bladder when you don't drink enough.
I appreciated this Continence lady at the time but I appreciate her even more now, and I wish she were still around.
The Continence Nurses now, say....are you okay, oh we don't need that water sample any more we don't bother with that and throw it in the bin, and sign the form for me to receive another year's continence pads. I am in and out in less than 5 mins now.
But with the Continence Nurse who did her job properly, it was an hour and a half by the time she had done all her tests and questions.
A hug does seem appropriate.I'm won't lie, this is a real memento mori/Gethsemane moment like living through family life after me. Very strange and not remotely helped by living here or Elsie Keto. No hugs needed just journaling my pilgrimage as objectively as I can
Thank you for that @jjraak I appreciate the feedback because I was apprehensive about that post. I think George Alagiah said it best:A hug does seem appropriate.
But I went with informative.
Because you outline a point, I felt I reached & where I think you may be.
A point where some or all of the trappings of what we believe are important, are slowly being tested & some are being stripped away by ourselves ?
The results making our view clearer, until we see things in a more purer form.
(A moment of clarity, I hear it called in some circumstances)
Shorn of the excess baggage, I personally think we travel lighter.
To know ourselves, and our relationships with those around & beyond better...no bad thing, in my eyes.
Was it Churchill who said it's not the beginning of the end, but the end of the beginning ?
I've come to think this IS that moment many of us arrive at.
Not the end, certainly.
But perhaps an acceptance the end comes regardless, and offers a moment to pause, look around us, take in all that's good & prepare ourselves for the next part of the journey, ( if you believe in such )
Chronical away, as you see best I say.
Big believer here in it's "better out, than in".
Just the fact of writing down on here, can offer positives for the writer & reader alike.
And we are all richer for having taken something from this thread of ours over time.
A thread that so freely gives to others, (from our many differing interests, lives & viewpoints)
is what offers us the opportunity to do so.
Long may it continue.
Peace.
COVID provided a convenient excuse for taking money away from such services to give National Insurance cuts. Also no doubt made worse as @gennepher is in Wales and it has a Labour devolved leadership so starve it of funds and blame the Labour party. Other views are available i.e. all due to "boat people" according to beer and fags man. Your computer doesn't work? Boat people's fault - what rubbish. Attached taken from here but B and F man stirred the pot and pretended he didn't.Dear me @gennepher. It sounds as though standards have slipped since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Only bruised is good - house sale viewing can steal away huge chunks of your days but as you say, fewer tasks, less time indoors.@dunelm thank you for your concern. MrSlim had two very painful and disturbed nights. But the ribs are less painful today so he thinks they are only bruised and hopes to be fully recovered for family visit in six days time.
The viewing Tuesday was cancelled, freeing me up to get outside. I really dislike being trapped indoors doing housework when i could be outside in the sunshine. Still there are now a few less tasks on my list.
Yesterday sounds like an Elbow day for you and the grandchildren. Thank you for sharing your artistic skills. Enjoy plan B - whatever happened to him?.Good morning everyone on a splendid start to the day listening the rain bouncing of the parched earth and the faint cheering of plants. 5.8 this a.m. and just under 7 miles yesterday. Down on the beach by 0930 yesterday and had what we had suspected was the best of the day for beach lounging before it clouded over just before noon. It will be plan B today - just as soon as plan B has been formulated. Art bit - tree sketch of course. May the bin lorry cavalcade continue to be present for you, I need to finish slurping koffy before the requests from tiny people start coming in.
Nice to see you Lamont. You lead a busy life as a carer.Have had a bad few days, and not much time to post.

Problem yesterday meant my black ink hand painting did not work.
I had five canvas boards.
I was going to do some black Chinese in painting on them using my hands.
Problem.
It was 29° C.
And so the black Chinese ink dried on my hands in the nanosecond it took me to transfer my hand to the canvas board.
Tried every which way....
I did do some stuff on the canvas boards, but it is not finished and not what I had intended to do.
I did manage to do some paintings in my sketchbook with the black ink on my hand.
Next problem was trying to get the ink off my hands because it had been on it for so long, in that heat, as I was painting for quite awhile with my hands.
When I was a child, I used to have those delicate black or white lace gloves. Do you remember them? I could do with a black pair now.....
And so, my creative is one of the paintings I did in my sketchbook with the black ink hand painting, and also with the blue shop towel I was using to mop everything up. I was getting painted everywhere, and I turned that into a painting implement because there was so much ink on it.....
Waste not want not...
It was thunderstorms and rain, but now the sun has come out and I am going out there to paint again, I enjoyed yesterday afternoon even though every painting and idea I had was a mistake, I could see ways of using it and having fun with it, but it is not what I intended to do. I should never have an intention when painting because it never works out and always goes badly wrong. It only works (usually)/when I just leap onto the blank page with free abandon....
Now, have your best day.
Leap into the unknown with free abandon...go into and with the flow...
