Exactly that @gennepher .But we all do need reassurance for many reasons. We don't want to leave it just in case we let things slide when we could have caught it in time, if there was a problem.
Well done on that realisation....
Cheers @Lamont D .Bouncebackability, is what it is when you mean that you are determined to improve your next day or circumstances.
Tomorrow is always going to be a better day, even if it isnt.
But the day after has to be.
I am in a rush to get out now @JohnEGreenAnother lowish for me fbg in the low 4s 4.3 to be exact.
Have a therapist type person coming this morning to see if I need more help and aids in the house. And then later in the morning an appointment at the doctors for dressing to be changed wound just not healing.
While I’m at the surgery going to see if I can get a doctors appointment as the left side of my head is quite sore has been so for a few days am wondering if the water that cascaded from the hotel air conditioning unit on that side of my head was is some way contaminated and has set off some kind of reaction though shouldn’t think that is the case well hope not anyway.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow as new well newish mobility scooter being delivered so will be able to get out and about on my own steam as it were, money was a bit tight and was going to have to wait some while but Keiran decided to get me one very good of him completely took me aback when he told me what he had done.
I am in a rush to get out now @JohnEGreen
But I had to say, you say you've been troubled by the side of your head since the water fell on your head. Please mention it to your doc as soon as possible. I am not being alarmist but is there a possibility of Legionnaires from that?
I only ask because I was in Barrow in Furness (in exactly the wrong place for me) just for the day when that Legionnaires outbreak happened. I wasn't feeling well after. I didn't know about the outbreak until someone told me. Went to docs. Sent to hospital for testing. Didn't get results immediately, nurse said it went on a petri plate or something. I did test positive, but was given antibiotics in any case in the first place. I was one of the lucky ones.
It may just be the shock of that water, something totally unexpected, but please go and check out your concerns.
xx
Happy birthday granddaughter #1.Good afternoon from a far too nearly autumnal L.A.. Although I feel some guilt not posting any fbg this is in the general chat section so I'm not stretching things too far. @gennepher thank you for the brilliant creative which is an amazing transformation from the source image. @dunelm thank you for sharing another example of your facility for rendering trees in so many different ways. @Annb hug for the pain and early rising. @JohnEGreen hug for the too low fbg. Here, there are far too many family events/milestones for my poor old mind. Oldest granddaughter's birthday. She is in Southampton with mum not #2 son and his family, long story. Oldest grandson started secondary school today and will be here soon, hopefully enthused not traumatised - I've seen a few who were over the years. The Little Guy ™ started Pre-school with all the formality that entails for a 3 year old. #1 sons's partner's birthday - very long term relationship but neither want the elaborate wedding upon which her mum would insist. With the dull weather, being here, the lack of the ideal of (married) mum, dad and 2.4 kids my progeny's lives feel just a tad off course - quite where did I go wrong/how the heck did we get here? No judgement on various family arrangements, just not my personal preference for my children and grandchildren. Not a perfect song choice but the gist is there. Have a good day.
I do have such a notice on the door @LivingLightlyIt happens to me here in London too @gennepher. Who knows why callers knock on the front door rather than ring the doorbell.
Might be an idea to put a poster on your front door requesting your postie to RING THE DOORBELL.
Wednesday's FBG 4.7 mmol/L on waking at 6.00 am.
A very rogue 8, first time.Cheers @Lamont D .
I must admit it's taken me time to learn to live in the 'now'.
That longer view I used to take, balancing up today V next year, had to change.
The % were too imbalanced for me now.
Was it Sinead O'Connor quoting " the wisdom to know the difference between what we can & can't change "?
Neither you nor I, or many others on here, can easily change our own circumstances, so we must learn to live inside it's parameters as best we can.
Ignoring the mental gymnastics since accident, I admit to waking up each day now, with a more open attitude to each day.
A better acceptance that with each day that comes, one more page opens, blank & ready, offering me a chance to dictate the days events.
As you say, while each doesn't always deliver, it does offer hope that it might be better than yesterday.
All points I see you truly grasp, with the clear joy you show when #1, #2, etc turn up.
Where you find the energy, I have no idea, but it's lovely to read about all the fun you have.
Truly living in the now.
And such an inspiration.
Thank you.
Long may it continue.
are you going for the mod look, with the mirrors etc?Another lowish for me fbg in the low 4s 4.3 to be exact.

Winner for not allowing that woman the satisfaction of denying you the promised item, stealing your spoons and your day. Even bigger winner for bouncing back*, making and sharing the creative - because that's who you are and what you do.Fbg 6.9
Having a wibbly wobbly day.
Seller who yesterday and today reiterated she was doing nothing at all about the wrong things in my parcel, took all my spoons away from me. No energy.
I have slept since this morning...trying to get some energy back. And now it's nearly end of day.
I have decided to draw a line under this.
It's wasting my time and energy.
Just going to cut my losses.
Walk away from it.
Right, it's done with.
Start the day anew, see if I can do something.
It's half 3.
The weather is dull and cloudy.
The air is still.
No rain.
At least give me a little rain for my garden if it is dull and cloudy...
It's getting warm again.
Temperature often goes up this time of day.
My creative for today in Kaleider Kaleidoscopes...
Finally decided on this one as a bit different.
It's a photo of the home page of my tablet.
Make the most of the rest of the day....
Take care...

Yes, definitely a winner for that decision @gennepher and for the kaleidoscopeI have decided to draw a line under this.

Thank you very much for that compliment @ianpspursWinner for not allowing that woman the satisfaction of denying you the promised item, stealing your spoons and your day. Even bigger winner for bouncing back*, making and sharing the creative - because that's who you are and what you do.(so's that )
*bouncebackability @Lamont D
Thank you @Lamont Dwonderful kaleidoscope @gennepher.
I'm not going to advise on how you shop or how you do it.
But be sympathetic to your woes.
The parcel industry is a nightmare.
you never know where or when your goods will end up.
a recent one of mine, just disappeared.
I just asked for a refund on line, and got it.
ordered the same, two days later and it turned up two days later.
I ordered paint.
Apparently, it now covers a warehouse floor.
See if you can get a refund or what these companies don't like.
A bad review!
It is freezing (nearly) here today.
Mrs L has given me a red card after not putting the heating on.
Rain overnight, followed by a really dull overcast conditions.
Wind cool.
Extra layers on.
An alleged temperature of over twenty degrees is forecast for the weekend.
I will believe it, when I see it.
Is it cold enough for snow on the mountains?
Mrs L says so.
Have a lovely evening you lot.
Thanks very much @Krystyna23040Yes, definitely a winner for that decision @gennepher and for the kaleidoscope
