Thank you @ianpspurs. Yes, it is a shame that some other people are not being sensible - which must be fuelling this upsurge in covid.

Actually, at the moment I am complying with 'take care and rest' as I actually am unable to do anything else as I am completely zonked.
 
Turned into a lovely day here. Doors open, still 20ºC outside at 17.10, 18ºC, sunny intervals and dry tomorrow then not too bad until 25th. In general East Anglia is mild and dryer than most areas, some parts are definitely agreeable on the eye. Hugs for those in the yellow warning areas.
 
Eventually got through to pharmacy, sorted.
Awaiting my prescription.

No let up for a while.
Ducks and footie bird sanctuary, is thriving, with the population growing the more it rains.

Gonna relax tonight, cos it it stops raining, got a lot of shopping to do in the morning.

It is no wonder, why there is a much illness around.
A lot of us, are not seeking help when necessary.
We are not looking after ourselves enough because of the state of the health services.
We are more scared of A&E, GP's surgery rather than doing what we would have done, in our younger lives.
On top of that, it is the weather. We had a lousy spring, cool and wet summer, and a really wet autumn, and around here, early frosts.
The natural heat from a hot summer actually bleaches the waters of our environment. Helps nullify virus and helps healthy growth. We have not had the healthy benefits from the vitamins that we get from our Sol.

@gennepher take care, and like me, I am never I'll as you say, but as we age, keeping warm and safe, should be our first priorities.

I have not caught a bug since forever.
Yesterday, I had a bad headache.
High temperature
Stabbing pains
And a raging thirst.
It was hard to breathe.

The oximeter was low 89...

I was a little worried.
But I took ibuprofen, have my humidifier going at my bedside, drank loads water(put salt and sugar in water), and found some vick (used that on my chest, but I don't have the usual cold or flu symptoms).

This morning, I don't feel like I have been hit by a truck any more...
Headache virtually gone.
Breathing much easier, feels normal now.
Temperature is normal.
The sharp stabbing pains have gone away.
Raging thirst has gone.
Peak flow meter reading could be a tad better, it is just under 400, it's usually just over. Brilliant readings on oximeter...hovering between 97 to 98, readings are steady, and the pulse is 69.

I can't go back to sleep because I was unable to move enough to be able get the wheelie out last night, nor finish the recycling....
I never fed the stray cats last night, I wasn't capable.
Never set the trail cameras...

I need to get the recycle out before 7 am

A tad low on the spirometer for me, but it's all personal best, so good you are fully aware where yours stands .

Sounds like all your vitals have dashed to man the gun decks & kicking back successfully for whatever invader you've had.

Good morning everyone from a warm but wet start to another day in French Froggy France. Lots of books and CD’s were waved adieu yesterday, two car boot fulls but it doesn’t look as though it made much of a dent. Still, slow and steady and mum enjoyed the company of some of her friends who came and helped. She doesn’t have a car so it was good of them to come and help. Gardeners are due this morning to prune trees. The potager is a bit of a jungle so that will be tackled. Art bit - more yeller. Hope your day goes well. Wherever there is life, there is the opportunity for kindness. I will be kind now and make koffy, anyone want one?

I’m still fuming with myself over ruined libre sensor what a mistake to make but have another on the way so not so bad.
I suppose being on Warfarin I should be more careful surprising how much of the claret that was spilled I mean the nurse over at the doctors did call me a bit of a bleeder the other day and I am sure that’s what she was referring to.
 
Wasn't aware of the different process for breaking down leaves into leaf mould, however I have found bagging them up to be effective, so long as the leaves are damp. Dry leaves do not break down. Have pkenty of fungi here.
Two new additions yesterday:
On the walnut tree stump we had to cut down a couple of years ago. Probably the source of the rot.

These appeared this morning. Am thinking Shaggy Ink Cap, but we haven't had them here before. Amazed how large they are.
FBG 8.10am after a late night and early start, rushing about for an hour or so was 4.7.
Then message from MrSlim, telling me today is Thursday. The expected viewing in 30mins is suddenly shoved back 24 hours. I can breathe again. Have coffee, even go shopping.

Of course all the essential tasks I hadn't manage to do are still outstanding. So another busy day, but less pressure now.
 
Morning all from what is currantly a sunny L.A. - very raisinable weather for October here these last two days. Too early for Stir-Up Sunday? No known fbg for me but I do know today is a Saint's day which is significant in both Fenland and for the origin of a word which describes a few recent administrations. The Saint is Etheldreda who has links to both the D and D North and Ely home of the Great Ship of the Fens She gave us the word tawdry


Anyhow, @gennepher good to hear your self care seems to have worked overnight. @JohnEGreen hug for the high fbg and #sensorgate but good that you can see the humour. @dunelm thank you for sharing more of your splendid artwork, as you say very kind of your mum's friends and neighbours. I guess there really could only be one song especially as we are heading towards that time when normally sane folk lie in baths of baked beans for cheridy. I'm off to watch cricket: ball ragging square on a day 8 pitch in Multan, who'd a thunk it? Enjoy all/some of your Thursday.

Good happy national bin day all.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.7 and here at Tilehurst Towers the emissions from our local fusion reactor are not being obscured by airborne water vapour. Perhaps, a reason to be cheerful ( part 1 )

For those who are not familiar with the musical works of Ian Dury, his writings can be somewhat rude.

If it not become apparent to some of our regular readers and posters me, me’s and myself have a slight scientific interest and on occasions have been known to disassemble objects, work out what makes them work, then rebuild them, with of course components left over and not only, but also never to work again.

Every where in central London's photogenic, this one may be more so than most

So now I've mentioned I'll be forced to take pics and not scuttle home asap in an Uber ....so that's good.

I get a tad anxious over these things, (amongst so much other stuff in life it seems )

One of my approaches is music...(Savage beats and all that ..lol )

If you swap the ocean for tarmac, a boat for the bike & floating over the hedgerows & not the waves...it would be spot on for me.

6.5 this morning.
Still feeling rubbish today, but not anything as bad as Covid was in the early days of the pandemic. So we count ourselves lucky that we caught it now and not then.

It was so funny yesterday. A delivery driver rang the doorbell. Mr K shouted through the closed door for him to leave it on the doorstep as we had Covid. He promptly dropped the parcel and ran away from the house like a bat out of hell.

Our neighbours very kindly offered to shop for us. As neither of us are hungry we don't need much - just organic milk for the kefir, bread for Mr K and cream for my coffee.

Actually there might just be a bonus to catching Covid - I will lose the 3lb that I put on over the August and hadn't been able to lose up to now.
