And while I cycle too, I know as a driver how cyclists in such conditions can be almost invisible until a cars almost upon them

Chain saw, leaf blower, enginey noises get me returning to the moment.
Deduction & elimination squares it on the moments unconscious after impact, as I believe I was not only hit, but due to injuries consistent with my theory, I was momentarily trapped under van, as driver continued moving in their
" wt* " just happened mode.
Their forward speed was slow, as was mine as I moved past them, but the suddenly unannounced turn right (into me) to take advantage of a gap on the opposing traffic flow, was when the driver just floored it.
Scraping me along the road, scooter wedged under the van, me wedged under the scooter, leg now flip flopping as it breaks and gets twisted by the torsion .
Likely only half a minute, maybe one minute, but the sound of the engine as it must have revved, still seeking that forwards movement impeded by the rather large speed bump now wedged under it ..aka me
Sadly, my brain hasn't let it go and accepted it was only a foot or two under the van
it's likely the.... " what if it's miles " that ensures the terror .
And lives on in the shape of an OMG every time I hear such noises .
Dragging me back until I reassess just where I am and realises it's noisy but not dangerous to me.

That statement is very true. My threat level awareness is still at Defcon ONE for my situation. Every antennae is going, my brain is on freeze slow-motion precise detail alert. Even though it was over 20 years ago. J understood, but no one else does. It's in the past others say, you can forget about it now. But you can't. Because the triggers of the situation are still there. And the more you (I) try and explain, the more stupid I feel, because it is so convoluted, it is impossible to fully explain in the time you have when talking to someone. No, I don't know my fbg because when I recently wore a Libre sensor that was fine all 15 days. Yes, Am very concerned about impact on sale. Also not looking forward to yet again having holes made in the roof during winter. The reroofing was done after nearly three months dry weather, just as it decided to drop it all once the tiles were off. We had puddles on the ground floor where the water was cascading down the chimney breast. This is where the current leak is. There was also some damage to bedroom ceilings at the time.Oh dear.

Wasted time again, but thinking cap on again, and I altered something when I posted last night. My views are back up again this morning. But it is a trial to post the YouTube ones...how much longer I stay with YouTube I don't know.

Omg ...that sounds equally horrific ....When Adrian was hit by the car what saved him was as it came from behind it threw him in the air and forwards bounced him off a wall leaving him in a heap on the pavement one thing that gets him though is the guy got out of the car and on realising Ade was still moving gave him the thumbs up then collapsed on the floor too drunk to stand.

What imprinted in my mind after the accident was the sound of the sirens of the 3 police cars and ambulance that raced to the scene.
Even after 19 years the sirens of emergency vehicles send a shiver up my spine.
