What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning all from a damp but mild (maarld in my view of the orfentic regional dialect) start to Saturday. No, I don't know my fbg because when I recently wore a Libre sensor that was fine all 15 days. So much going on in this thread, both actually said and far more unsaid. @Krystyna23040 @jjraak and @JohnEGreen as Adrian's father hugs for the mental and physical after effects of those traumas. @dunelm hug for you and your mum on what can be trying days dealing with legal formalities. My own dealings were very simple but one family settlement ended up in the high courts. Thank you for sharing another wonderful piece of art. @jjraak there can only be one song for that photograph of yours from yesterday (lyrics) Almost seques into the watching of Chelsea detective last evening. Stories ok, not believable but filming and sound quality disguised that at the time, probably helped by Saints hammering Sale so I closed that window and fully watched. A tad distracting when JKP and MIL reminisced about places and times past - nearly shared that Elvis Costello song. I hope Ashley (was for a long time my first choice for #1 son's name) doesn't do UK based members harm and damage. Even after my ramblings do enjoy all/most/some of the gift of today.

Yes @jjraak

Sad how impacted we can still be years after.

But not surprising given that initial strike, that our threat level awareness stays at Defcon ONE, even if the worry is overly inflated.
That statement is very true. My threat level awareness is still at Defcon ONE for my situation. Every antennae is going, my brain is on freeze slow-motion precise detail alert. Even though it was over 20 years ago. J understood, but no one else does. It's in the past others say, you can forget about it now. But you can't. Because the triggers of the situation are still there. And the more you (I) try and explain, the more stupid I feel, because it is so convoluted, it is impossible to fully explain in the time you have when talking to someone. Even now I still have a lot blocked out.

The space you had in which you have explained above, you have been able to explain/explore it more fully. Although there is probably much more to say.

Take care.

Thanks @ianpspurs for the lyrics ...

Oh dear.

Not the headache you needed right now, @SlimLizzy

I hope rectification is speedy & not overly expensive.

Concern must be how much it can or could impact the sales process..mmhh.
Yes, Am very concerned about impact on sale. Also not looking forward to yet again having holes made in the roof during winter. The reroofing was done after nearly three months dry weather, just as it decided to drop it all once the tiles were off. We had puddles on the ground floor where the water was cascading down the chimney breast. This is where the current leak is. There was also some damage to bedroom ceilings at the time.

Nighttime wildlife video
Badgers & Cats

You Tube messed me for a couple days, throttled my views again. Kept saying error message. But no explanation. Wasted time again, but thinking cap on again, and I altered something when I posted last night. My views are back up again this morning. But it is a trial to post the YouTube ones...how much longer I stay with YouTube I don't know.

Creative...my tour of my garden...one of the fungi...it looks like a flower...

Have your best day ...

Wonder if the culprit could be a dormouse? You need on of @gennepher’s trail cameras. Hope you can get repaired done quickly.
Can't tell @dunelm no idea what dormouse droppings look like and ten mins on internet didnt help.

5.2 this morning.

Again feeling a bit better today, or maybe more than a bit better. Was a bit concerned about my high heart rate since testing positive - especially while asleep when it didn't go below 78 beats per minute.

Yesterday heart rate back to normal and last night it went down as low as 61 bpm

Intriguing fungi @gennepher, thank you for sharing and hug for those memories. Hopefully your Youtube work around fixes the problem and your decision to stick or twist with sharing those videos satisfies you since you are the important one in that process.

Thank you @ianpspurs.

Thank you for your words @ianpspurs
I appreciate them.

Yes I absolutely do understand that your threat level awareness is still at Defcon ONE for your situation.

What imprinted in my mind after the accident was the sound of the sirens of the 3 police cars and ambulance that raced to the scene.

Even after 19 years the sirens of emergency vehicles send a shiver up my spine.

Omg ...that sounds equally horrific ....

Amazing how fragile our bodies can be, yet we can be so resilient.

So glad he's made such a good recovery, even if it has left some nasty demons.

Best wishes to him.

You would not want to be in our house!
I live on a main road into and out of town.
It is also the reason why the sirens never stop.
All the services bar the RNLI, use this road to get to the motorway or the rest of the area.

7.2 cos, I'm in a tiz today.
New dishwasher has arrived, needed it cos of my arthritis and too many chips on Mrs L 's bestest crockery, the china is out away, as is the silver!!!!! For some reason, Mrs L won't let me near it.
Anywho, it is in and done, excepting I needing shopping for it.
So off I went and cos I'm not my usual calm self, the shop was full.
Defcom two as someone mentioned previously @ianpspurs maybe......
So I had to wait, no rinse and for the new machine, no yoghurt or drink for Mrs L, and then no salad stuff for me. Aaaaaghhh!!!!I

20 minutes later.......

Just been out again, found some rinse and yay. But nowt else.

Mrs L has, while I'm out, typically, done too much. And was sitting on the edge of the bath. Mrs L has said she wanted a wash after....... Toilet etc.
I do wish Mrs L would wait for me to help her and ask for help, which Mrs L won't do...!

Talk of accidents, my brother in law, had an argument with a bus and lost, this was when he was seven.
Since it was only minor knock as thank heavens the bus was slowing by a bus stop.
A couple of years later, he was playing on the local swings, he fell off into concrete.
He fractured his skull, big scar from front to back.
Took a year to get him back to school, and during that time, broke his arm, toes and fingers.
He has also bruised his ribs, when a bit tipsy a few year later.
Any who (again) his mental health, unsurprisingly, is all over the place. He says every time, he does hurt himself, cos there are many more knocks and bruises, I can't remember, he goes dizzy, and his balance goes.
But his levels of anxiety goes nuclear, much worse than mine.
His fears and traumas to everyday life is off the scale sometimes.
His favourite saying is.....
Well, I'm still around, and that bus is well and truly rust now!

Nice letter this afternoon, from the DWP.
Advising me that I'm defo not getting winter fuel payment.

I hope my cash goes to someone who really needs it.....
But it would have been a nice chrimbo present.
Funny how saving for your pension all your working life, seems to punish you, time and time again.
And then you pay more tax on it, even though that money was taxed before being taken out of your wages.

Have your bestest footie Saturday or your weekend.
My bestest wishes.

Rain this morning, now sunny, not bad.
Batten down the hatches for tomorrow. Storm imminent.
