What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Am not sure exactly how to do this, sorry.
My SIL checked for my daughter's drier, apparently that brand is one of the worst offenders for causing house fires. Also it was discovered that their model had been subject to a recall, years ago, except they didn't receive a notification of this. So it was in effect a time bomb waiting to go off. We are so lucky that nobody was badly hurt, or worse in the fire that destroyed most of the house.
This is one of my granddaughters bedrooms:

It's horrifying to think what might have happened if they were home that night.
 
I suspect many electrical items have a built in end of useful life fail. Since we nearly always buy a bunch of them when setting up home for the first time, it is logical that they will all start to fail more or less together.
 
Just heard from a cousin of my late husband. His DNA result was a shock. He discovered that his late mother's husband was not his father. He's asking around the family to see if anyone knows anything about it. If any one did, it would have been his grandmother but she's been gone a few years now. He is hoping for some match to his DNA result but it is a mystery.

Yesterday I spent hours tracking back through my maternal grandfather's line right back to the 200's and Roman Britain - big family so records go back that far - some of the dates were ridiculous though so I just took them out and left them as "deceased". Then FMP decided there was an anomaly and took me to another screen to fix it, but I didn't know where the problem was - it was sometime around the 800's I think. I tried to get back to my original page but FMP shut me out so I had to close down and open the file again. It had deleted everything from my 2x gr grandmother back! Spent a lot of this morning trying to find at least some of it and found a new line into Wales on my father's side and we seem to share an ancestor with Henry VII. Interesting but it doesn't make up for all the stuff I lost.

Good advice and what an appalling occurrence. We always register any new appliance with the manufacturer in the hope of being contacted if there is a recall.

We have a condenser type
A bush Td7Cnbcw

Found it perfectly acceptable.

With a rather decent size filter just inside door
And excellent online reviews.

( Must check for an inside filter now I think of it )

And if first time getting a condenser type, you'll be gobsmacked how much water the water catchment tray holds..

Just checking in with y'all - whether you want me to or not. So far I've read about two people recovering so well done @Krystyna23040 and @gennepher; some odd ancestry cum DNA findings for @JohnEGreen and @Annb; seen @dunelm's splendid art and read his mum's disparaging comments on his bibulous exploits (which could be fake news and a gross slur on a fine lady) plus good advice on tumble driers from @SlimLizzy and electrical goods in general from @dunelm. Useful thread this for many things. I don't think I've anything to add to this or humanity really but I do have a comedy sketch vaguely poking well balanced fun at regional stereotypes (Englishcentric, sorry) - all due to a local thereof being amazed at reading someone refer to Haringey as posh. Hugs for all being ravaged by or awaiting the arrival of Ashley - not an issue here. In general it seems overly optimistic to hope you enjoy Sunday but I do sincerely so wish.

Update: @jjraak and @gennepher thanks for the likes. Here's a link to a Which article on tumble drier safety which you may find useful. I went into the laundry room to check our make and model just when the washing machine was playing a tune to say the cycle was over. I still miss the dishwasher which did that but the LG warranty/repair team said we have had so many issues with these, buy another brand - so I bought a Bosch with the Comet like for like insurance and pocketed many, many £s - result.

I have checked the safety before buying
The new one is due later in the week and they are taking the old one away as well!

6.9 this lie in Sunday.
That is because Mrs L, was up in the early morning, pottering around in the kitchen, and by the time, I got her back in bed, the clean up was long and painful for me.
However some good news, Mrs L has fixed the old dishwasher.
Whilst pottering about, she bumped into the new one, and it came on with lights showing, so every dish that hadn't been put away, was in, and getting a rinse. But it was on a high setting for pots and pans.
I turned it off.
It's my own fault of course, , I didn't turn it off from the socket. I just can't help being stupid.
There was dishwashing salt in the washing mschine????
The drawer had been bleached, and Mrs L had for some unknown reason damp pyjamas on, which is my fault.
Im so glad that the new, repeat, new, has been fixed by Mrs L.

I know how much you care and love her.

But I know even jesus on the cross would have his patience tested .

However having said that I can still see the funny side in Mrs L 'fixing' the broken machine, god love her, so went with Funny.

Got a good number of the records back. I've written the ones I've found again in my notebook. It's a bit of a chore, but better than losing it all again. I've found my father's line all the way back to the Pictish kings in Scotland (as it wasn't then). It includes the Balliols (let down by Edward I). Surprise because I was pretty sure that line was almost pure Anglo-Saxon. Very wrong assumption.

I received a jury summons today, and it requires me to attend in December.
No way would I be able to do that because of my disabilities, mainly my deafness. Also, apparently you cannot go to the toilet during the jury session. There's absolutely no way I could last that long. When I need a wee, I need to go NOW. And so I have been writing explaining my disabilities. But they certainly do not fit in the 1 and 1/2 by 6 inch box, unless maybe if I use a very fine mapping pen...

YouTube played me up again, wasted over an hour of my time because I got "error message" each time I tried to post. My frustration was massive trying to do this. It is not worth it. I will try a few more times, however, and then s*d YouTube if this continues.
It was a few hours later before it accepted the title of "Badgers & Cats", so many tries, so many "error messages". And it would not let me write a description in the description box.

I grew up on the banks of the river our house was a stone's throw from the ferry and promenade.
It was a right of passage to play with the waves of a storm or spring tide.
And the waves was always fascinating, especially the ones that rolled along the wall of the promenade edge, crashed and smashed across the walkway to the walls opposite and smashed there.
There was by the swings park, a shelter, and another example of idiocy was to stay there for ten minutes and avoid getting wet. Never did.

I have always wanted to be on a jury.

You may be able to be excused, the jury call up system is not aware of your disabilities.
You only have to advise them of such.
I believe you can use snail mail or is there an email?
