What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @ianpspurs. Instant mash is of course processed but not ultra or any other decoding device. Has same nutritious values of the pre processed spud except for the loss of vitamin C.

We used to have, back in the days of the enlightenment a thing called News. Now, just opinion and folk being trendily offended if the sun causes a shadow to be cast and some inconsiderate bar steward steps on it, invading the privacy zone - bring back the crinoline, frankly my dear, I’m with Clarke Gable.

7.2 this chewing dsy, c'mon Sally, ride, Sally write.
Footie leavening this dark and freezer occurrence event.

It has stopped raining.
It is Arctic (roll) out there.
A hopefully leisurely afternoon. Not much to do, as I did enough yesterday for today and maybe tomorrow.

Decs are hopefully done. Just little things when noticed by Mrs L.

While I was putting our bins out full of the detritus of the box bedroom, I had a quick look at the amount of growth already in the spring bulb department spread through the garden, as the grass was sodden, I hadn't done much, not even getting rid of the leaves again.

I am chuffed in a sort of way, Mrs L 's ornaments are usually Mrs L 's main contribution to the effort for chrimbo decs. With a little help with info, there wasn't even a disagreement to where they go. And only a few choice expletives when my arthritic fingers and thumbs couldn't agree to perform as I may have wanted them to.
And remarkably no damage dond, at all, a rare, rare, event.

I forgot to order some flat batteries for one of Mrs L 's curios, not the usual ones like AA, AAA etc.

Won't be back later.

So my bestest ever lazy, togger day, day today, you lot.

If it isn't on your social it just didn't happen/isn't real. Who is this Gable doge, is he on BlueSky? How many followers across all platforms has he got?

News is now propaganda.
The denazification of Germany took a couple of decades to get anywhere near what would be considered European normal, but it never went away.
Our history is just the same politically motivated propaganda.
My history A level was based on capitalism in the U.K., And how the country has benefitted the few.
And how proud we should be to live in this country, where the rights we have are bestowed on us by the privileged. Our empire as was, was based on subjugation, and the greed of the establishment.

History is written by the winners.

Gable has......Gone with the wind..... And, frankly dear, I do not give a ****!
How did that get past the censors in 1938?

If I had 10c(c) for every time I thought of that....

DON'T ignore me , I got a 100,000 followers on tik tok don't ya know.

And I do worry about the lettuce...

A small windowless room ...mmhh.

Either organisers very aware she struggles finding openings & such in ANY room.

OR

Solid prep for the jacket, gag and placement in the padded sort ....mmhh.

Did see Johnson going full farage about his Eton advent calendar.

Something of the gist it's all so unfair on folks like him....

Because all the doors were left open ..

Anyway, no more worries about politics or conflicts.

Ukraine, Syria, georgia, s Korea, IDF Hezbollah & Eye-Ran are all gonna be sorted now there's a new prez on his way.

Not sure , he doesn't look very cat like to me with his grandad dancing , so can't think why they're misspelling feline47 as Felon47...?

But maybe that's just Merica & it's crazy spelling humor.

Free tin hats for us all come January...which is nice.

Bonsoir

Good morning everyone on another chilled out start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. A festive remnant of Yule has made an appearance. I blame Martin Luther and Queen Victoria for keeping the idea alive - or was it Lex Luthor in the Queen Vic? Whatever but don’t even mention the death of Baldur. So, now mainly decorated but finishing touches will be added later when that famous interior designer The Girl In The Bubble arrives after her appointments at school. I will be mainly unsupervised today. Mrs Miggins is taking her two aunts out for the day - somewhere warm they said, where they can wander and gawp at things. Also with frequent places to rest and the prospect of some fancy Nordic food - So, that big blue and yellow cube of flat pack exotica it is. Very strange but it’s a day out and one aunt has real problems with mobility (think Mr Magoo’s wife doing a cameo in The Wrong Trousers). Anyhow - we are not up to saying anyhoo or even anywho - art bit - same old same old. Happy Mittwoch, I need to make koffy.

I love this series of art bits very much @dunelm
They are something that I would hang on my walls...

5.7 this morning.
Off to classes at the village hall.

Looking forward to the drive there through the countryside. As my ankle has continued to improve, am going to do a gentle stroll on the rec behind the hall. I will be very careful and will take my Nordic poles.

But first - a coffee.

Edited to add FBG 4.6
Big day on the building site in MK that used to be my daughter's home. The windows and doors are in. Finally, after months of delays the house is watertight.
Although MrSlim informs me they are now tearing down the ceiling in the "only smoke damaged" extension. Floor has to come up as well, water damage courtesy of fire brigade.
House search is at a standstill after increasingly tetchy exchange of texts.
What do you mean you wouldn't touch it with a barge pole! You sent me the listing!
So far I have been told that four houses I liked the look of have been sold, or are about to be sold. Suspiciously none of these listings have had an "under offer" banner applied.
While the huge wrecks that MrSlim prefers are still very much available. I viewed one and was told by the agent that the price could be dropped by a significant amount. However even at half price ( which would still be a lot) it would still have been too big. We don't need seven bedrooms! And far too much work. A friend estimated ten to fifteen years if not employing professionals.

I was thinking (okay, I think occasionally...) @SlimLizzy that if you went for the huge wreck that Mr Slim prefers, that you say it would take about 15 years to renovate, well in my eyes that would be 15 years you would be able to live in the same property. Would that be an attractive proposition to you? And Mr Slim could do all the renovations he wants. You just need him to get one small part of it, the attractive part that looks out into the garden, et cetera up to the standards that would make it a perfect in habitation for you. And only then can Mr Slim do the rest of the renovations...
Obviously, you bargain for the cheapest price and then some....
