Mrs L has her urine checked at our last six momthly diabetes review.
whilst I had the p... taken out me by #8 this morning.
but I will keep that in mind. UTIs are very painful. I know, I've had a couple.
cheers @jjraak.
Hope you have a good night's sleep @Lamont D and a better day tomorrow.
thanks @Krystyna23040 . Much better today.

a walking stick, or a club, and a tap on the calf muscle will usually get their attention.
I just can't think, why you haven't tried this approach?
And if that don't work, a Kirkby kiss, gets a response.
And if all that fails, Grannies answer from the Beverley Hillbillies, is so attention seeking.
Nobody ignores a shotgun!
Stop being nice, about it all !!!!!!!!!

My eldest brother worked on building the Kingsway Wallasey tunnel. And of course, I have walked it, and tother one, oh yeah Queensway.
Back when we were discussing routes, the old tunnel, was different as both ends, there is still the dock exit by the Liver buildings, but you can't use it as an entrance. On the Birkenhead side, the other exit was closed down in the seventies, and is not used at all. That was close to the dock road, Birkenhead side, which the four bridges connected the the Dock Road Wallasey. Which had only one bridge serving the dock complex up to the Wallasey pool. And again as you say, police officers with white gloves were common, and if I remember correctly, there was traffic lights at those junctions within the tunnel, so vehicles could access the dock entrsnces. It would be weird now. Also I get the closeness of the four lanes, as the tunnel buses, which there is a lot, use the outside lane.
A lot of people know there is also the train tunnels, which have been running since Victorian times. And many other tunnels under the city. It is claimed to be the reason for the time slip occurrences in Bold Street. Which are very interesting.
I even remember the train station which was across the road from ours by the ferry terminal. It is now houses, but it is over the Wallasey tunnel, that goes underneath the Seacombe area. And the motorway feed from the tunnel to the flyover and three lanes, follows the old train system. There are still trains from Bidston to Wrexham every hour or so. That are close to the motorway.
Trains, ferries, motorways, but no planes in the Wirral.

6.4 on this day of recovery from yesterday's from dawn to twilight boxing day (or it's unboxing day) or just four sleeps to go. (ish, I think)
Any who Mrs L bust her pad.
And in a cantankerous mood.
And not only being stubborn but, full of mischief.
And to top it off, slid off the couch as tiredness overwhelmed Mrs L.
I couldn't get Mrs L back up, for a while. Just as I was thinking to use the emergency button, between us we just about managed.
Anyway, that was the past, gone, but I was totally angry. Not only with Mrs L but myself.
Having a much better day,
Hope you enjoyed Christmas yesterday?
My bestest wishes.
I think I missed the traditional togger tournament, or did i?

Thank you @ianpspurs. Enough red cabbage made for both tonight and the big day. Grandchildren, baking - wonderful.

Pain control to bandaged legs - it’s a space oddity, hard to ignore. Fore rib, only a little bit of a mistake. My purchased morsel will be seared and then very slow roasted.

As you say, the past is gone. Just another rehearsal. Take care.

Its never a waste if u are enjoying it

Two Badgers - Thor & Willow
These are two new badgers, since the first regular badger family and the two foxes that came with them had totally disappeared since the snowfall.

Thor and Willow came independently to start with, and this is the first time they have appeared together. I think they are possibly a couple and were carefully scouting out the area, independently at first before they both went to the same place together. I am assuming they now think my garden is a safe space and I am glad if they think that.

Creative - a little cushion kaleidoscope in Laboscope.

I am tired now, I spent the rest of the day composing a letter to the cochlear implant team about Tuesday, explaining what happened, and asking for their advice and help for future situations like this which has never happened before like this extreme incident. And explained about the prospective cataract operation, if there was going to be problems with the cochlear sound processor and the connection and the mobile phone.

I just want to sleep now.

Sweet dreams xx

Interesting information @Lamont D

I have experienced a few time slips in Bold St and on the central station platform to West Kirby. A bit scary.

Also at Walton (Junction) railway station, I often ended up walking to the station over the footbridge (I lived one minute away) and at that point the Edwardian people appeared. And I was walking amongst people dressed in Edwardian clothes, and down the steps onto the platform, at the point the train came in they melted away and I stepped on a modern train.
In those days, the waiting room was as it was in Edwardian times. For some reason I was always waiting alone in there, and the station master would come in, in winter, and ask me if I would like the fire lit. I always said yes, and I wondered what was happening with time. Because before the next train came in, I was sitting next to a roaring fire and the station master bought me a cup of tea in a china cup and saucer. No one ever came and sat in with me. I never saw any other passengers outside either while I was in that waiting room nor any trains going by....

I did mention to one of my neighbours about the waiting room, the fire, the station master bringing me a cup of tea and they said don't be silly, that waiting room has been locked for years. It was never locked for me.

Wow! Freaky Friday!
Yes, I've heard about these time slips, through word of mouth or gossip as you will. These time slips are one of a number of strange occurrences within the area. Lots on YouTube etc. There are the usual ghost stories, so many of them. But, there is some strange stories around the whole area, such as the wreckers off New Brighton. Mother redcaps, the actual smugglers tunnels around the rednoses, on the coast.
A strange one at Vauxhall in Eastham.
We would be very wary of the old huts, that used to be RAF huts that were built during the war. The factory was built on the runway. There was always stories about sightings of figures in around these huts.
One night I had to fetch a car from the compound and a driver rushed past us, into the nearby building as white as a sheet. The guy said, that whoever it was passed close to him and asked where the maintenance shed was?
Sorry?
Maintenance shed?
No idea.
The person walked a few steps and into light faded away.
The poor guy, never worked nights again. And the union wouldn't allow the lads to work out there on their own.
It could have been me. I do have the vivid dreams, and it is a common theme around the lads who have worked out there. That dreams of the place are never far away.
Sweet dreams.

A rather stressful evening / early morning .

Next door neighbour took a grudge to a leak from the neighbours below ours, flat

They've gone away for the Christmas .

She was Banging on our downstairs door around 9pm

Left a note they're not happy with leak

Contacted neighbours not long after who are arranging to get the letting agency around to check what leak is and effect repairs

Neighbour from hell came back around 2am with baseball bat, smashed all the windows in downstairs front door.

Reaching in, let herself in then proceeded to knock on doors until she got to ours

Lauren didn't want me going out to her, but I needed to get her away from Lauren, so I went out to talk to her .

All passive aggressive, something with my job I've been very used to over the years, so not too bothered, however fully aware I'm not best placed to defend myself like I once could.

So while I engaged and tried to deescalate the situation, I made sure to be just out of range or too close to be hit ....ready but not wanting to take the kind of action to damage or put her down

Thankfully police arrived and took over the situation

End result they took her away, may charge her with criminal damage, & possible breaking & entering ..will find out more tomorrow

I SO don't need a neighbour dispute

We spent early hours of this morning dealing with her, talking to the police, cleaning up all the broken glass & boarding up the door.

Wendy all fingers & thumbs come diy & me with a gammy hand, a dodgy shoulder & one good leg.
Exhausted, tired & aching to high heaven, but I just couldn't leave anything to chance given she's such an unpredictable quantity

Daylights arrived, so I feel safer leaving Lauren alone chatting to everyone she knows it seems, while I drag myself off to bed

Ladies clearly not right

Suggestion is police neighbourhood teams get involved and we sit down and have some mediation meeting.

I'm hoping that clears the air, but not holding my breathe as yet.

It all came out of the blue.
Note on door at 9pm

Banging on door early morning,
Smashing windows not long after

And in-between she popped a Xmas card through tte door with
"Merry xmas, I smashed your windows" written in it ..I kid you not

Which I discover when police are inspecting the door damage and all the broken glass

So it's mediation and we're all be like little fonzies .
Or
Await the next moment and escalate to pressing charges.

Piddle poor choices, so I pick A

Wish me luck

Lovely kaleidoscope and hope that your letters bear some fruit. My mother carries stamped postcards in her bag - notes of any complaint sent in plain sight and very quickly after such events as you had.

The woman doesn't sound as though she's quite sane. In which case mediation won't help and she needs to be taken in hand by the authorities. On the other hand, maybe she's been having a bad time and just snapped, taking it out on your neighbours and you. Mediation might help in that case, but she sounds like a dangerous person to have around. Well done you to have handled it the way you did, but I'm glad the police came as soon as they did. Hugs and sympathy for yourself and Lauren.

BG was yo-yoing again last evening. First dropping too far, then after correction (should have been fast, but took a while to work) shot up to 12.9. I obviously overdid the correction. Anyway, bed at 11.45 pm with the high BG. Didn't try to correct it again in case it dropped too low while I slept. As a result of the early night, I was up again by 03.15 with BG at 8.9. However, it has dropped again to 6.5 now, so we'll see how it goes today.

Mediation sound like a first call. She may need some help.

Good morning everyone on a whistle down the wind start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.2, eyes of blue this a.m. Granddaughters video chat early evening - last day at school excitedly reported and check out my new dance school hoodie from not so Little Miss Pamplemouse who, at 10 years old is as tall as her mum. Non-uniform day, treats, disco, what is falafel made of - it’s dead cosmopolitan in Birmingham. Veterans Christmas lunch today and apart from the distressing palate feel from the offspring of Bernard Matthews it should be a grand occasion. Mrs Miggins seems to have more Christmas jumpers than Karl Lagerfeld‘s offerings at a Paris fashion show. I have but one and only wear it on leap weeks. Art bit - I saw three ships. Hope your today is a Saturday and you do enough to satisfy the day. I best make koffy.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were 7.9, ahh the benefits of feeling under the weather. Yep it plays havoc with blood sugars and lets slip the corpuscles of war.

I am under strict instructions to rest up, now into day 3 of resting and wondering about buying a guide to the use of idiot box remote controls.
If I were to buy such a tome, Mrs J would probably hide it.
Talking of Mrs J, Mrs J has gone foraging at the local supermarket, fortunately my presence is being actively discouraged.

Have the best day you possibly can.
