What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Forgot to mention, bin men never turned up. Cos the recycling centre is closed to everyone because of thick ice black on most routes that have it been salted.
it is already overflowing.
No idea when or how cos it is bad out there -3 mid afternoon.
It is very white out there.
Kitchen duties to do.

Oh brilliant. Soon be Burns Night

Thank you @ianpspurs and I agree with you on Nordic walking poles.

Am I being thick? I don't understand the logic in that clipped article.

Had an awful night. This feels like some kind of flu with my whole body gripped in serious pain and cold. From finger tips to toes plus my head - not a headache, just electric shock type pains shooting across the back of my head every few seconds. The rest is the worst arthritic type pain I have ever had. Must be a bug of some sort, it came on so suddenly although my temperature is a steady 36.5, so not a fever. By mid afternoon I was able to get onto my feet and crab my way across the floor to make my own cup of tea and now I can use my fingers well enough to use this keyboard. It hurts, but I think they need to exercise. Thank the Lord for painkillers!

On the same track as Nordic poles, or any other things that are Polish.
Mrs L new rollator has arrived and an hour despite my arthritic hands, it is now being used ish.
I have cleared the paved area in my garden, so that Mrs L a chance to get used to it.
However, my plan is being frustrated by the icy blast as it is -6 now on my garden thermometer.
It is very cool out there.

I must also add that through a clear sky two evenings ago, there was the moon in the South East sky next to it was Venus. Bright as a button. However the cloud cover returned, so did the snow etc.
This is definitely winter.

Keep whatever......

Those contraptions can be a bit of a ****** to put together mate -6 is a bit on the Article side though it is at the moment-4 here but it is gone 2300 hours.
One thing that slipped my mind before was when at the doctors yesterday had INR test done and it had gone up-to 5.7 supposed to be in range 2 - 3.1 so have had to reduce Warfarin for a few days as according to Doc there was a bit of a danger of a bleed.
Any way it’s hay ho and off to bed I go.
Good night and keep warm me I’m having a sneaky cup of Ovaltine.

Good morning everyone on a sunny yet frosty start to bin day here in the dark and dangerous north. Magpies scuttling about in the garden catching a bit of sun and scaring off the other, smaller birds. Tyres - must remember to add air to the tyres today - a warning light came on yesterday. Mrs Miggins has gone to take The Girl In The Bubble to school and then for a dental check up. We plan to have a walk into town in the pale sunshine after she returns and scoop some vit D (is walking in the sunshine classed as multi-tasking?). Art bit - a frosty field. I cannot control what external events may develop today but I can control my opinion of those events. My first opinion is that this koffy is quite on par.

Morning all from a distinctly chilly L.A. as opposed to the real one which is ablaze. If this is a wonderful world I've misunderstood the meaning of wonderful, which is very possible, fallen seems much more on point. The now we see darkly theme is only added too by the posts I've read so far,. @Annb with your pain, @JohnEGreen with the over reaction to warfarin., @Lamont D with the weather stopping the use of the new rollator and @Krystyna23040 with Poppy being poorly. The little Epihanies in all that? The pain killers, the doctor reducing the dose, the rollator actually being there and assembled, the vet being open and able to help. All very now but not (quite) yet. I'm not given to citing Churchill positively but KBO seems to be today's thought for the day herein, but then isn't it always?. @dunelm thank you for the splendidly realised frosty field. @gennepher thanks in advance for sharing your skilful work. Busy day here which will cause a problem - not life threatening so chill your beans Winstons and park any hugs somewhere else - however it turns out. Yes young Bedingfield, how very true.

Told my cleaner not to come today - in case I am contagious. Told Health Centre I can't keep my leg wrapping appointment this week - just have to keep the bandages on for another week. I'm actually better, but still in quite a bit of pain - no idea what it would be like without painkillers and don't choose to find out. Not so cold today either. It's all good.

At 0800 my new freebie Decom one+ was saying 3.9 but now after coffee and ginger nut biscuit it’s up to 5.8. So all ok.
It seems the new year was a little more eventful round here than I knew a lady two doors down had her son arrested and taken away in handcuffs on New Year’s Day it seems he had managed to Get access to her on line banking and had stolen £3000 and had been taking her car and driving it without permission licence or insurance and when she confronted him he became threatening so she called the police.
On a happier note Keiran is going to Bristol later in the month for his formal graduation from his masters degree.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.7

It’s a strange, funny old, interconnected world we are privileged to reside in.
This morning I had a message from friend who lives on the other side of the world, that an old school friend and fellow rugby playing colleague had died on the 4th January. I had lost contact with him years ago and also hadn’t thought of him in years. It appears he moved to the Cornwall area. This news triggered so many happy memories of him and the good times we had. I don’t feel sad about his change of state, but I am happy for the reawakening of many happy memories of good times we had. I know he would appreciate my thoughts.

Stay safe, stay warm and feel free to smile, after all it is a form of exercise.

@Annb interesting use of all good, very Boris/Donaldesque.
