We know what we know and dislike what we don't.As for waking in the You Ess of Aay, a plurality there would say for all our problems you can only wish you were so blessed. I'm certain the 30-50 in this close would roll their eyes and say aw, bless at that sentiment. A few here seem to feel that your home city is to be avoided at almost all costs, granted probably in jest or because it is the done thing. I guess we are all creatures of our native terroir. Y'all have a good day now, ya hear
From 9/11 "hero" to dumpster fire in 2020, Rudy, Rudy, Rudy. As for the shootings, the come back would be what about the stabbings in your towns and cities, the "no go" areas, the grooming gangs? Another peaceful day/week/month/term in either school system doesn't make news, provide clickbait (money, money, money) or the anxiety that Trump, Farage and their ilk desperately need but for which they offer no solutions. We know what we know and dislike what we don't.
Sure most big cities everywhere have their seedy element .
As for your 'close'.
I think I'd swap that veneer of safety they seem to find in the familiar for no need to have school "it's a shooter, run children" drills everyday because.
.check press ..it's almost an everyday event.
Horses for course.
Rehab went well, lots learnt & yes that's the hopeful direction of progress I'm aiming at. <pray>
Off out to get a big bag of popcorn so I'm ready to sit and watch 4 years of madness unfold.
( *other viewpoints available, obviously.
Available at good landscaping stores in your vicinity )
Yee haha
Predictive text inserted miscast instead of fast. She was actually fast asleep on my lap.Sister came over and we did all the outstanding admin.
We introduced her dog Lexi to Bonnie. They said hello through the child gate half way down the hallway. All was very friendly.
Bonnie is miscast asleep on my lap.
Oh dear, for the Xmas card, but at least it got a bit of sight seeing done on the way to you.....Good morning everyone on a deliciously quiet start to this weeks international bin day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 this am. Walked into town late morning and shared an all day full English like Jack Sprat and his wife. A Christmas card arrived in the post from friends in the USA where the postal system seems to rely on a newly installed randomized sorting button labeled ‘screw up’, designed by the author of the USA world order Geography curriculum which sent said card via a three week all inclusive trip to Thailand which of course is where North Yorkshire was located on the day the ‘screw up’ button was pressed (image below). Art bit, there be trees. Hope your day is merry and bright! Mine is seen through the caffeinated eyeballs of a koffy drinker. Best put that bin out.
Thank you @ianpspurs@dunelm thank you for sharing another splendid piece of art and turning the late Christmas card into a comedy epic. @gennepher I'm glad after all the agonising over the letter to that hospital it has had an impact. @JohnEGreen the good enough fbg is one thing but enjoying the curry and cake, presumably as part of a celebration with family, is far better. @jjraak hug for the rough week, winner for the attitude and hope that any discomfort from rehab is merely the precursor to improvement. As for waking in the You Ess of Aay, a plurality there would say for all our problems you can only wish you were so blessed. I'm certain the 30-50 in this close would roll their eyes and say aw, bless at that sentiment. Extra hugs @alf_JosiahAfternoon all.
Blood sugars this morning were firstly 3.7 and then secondly 3.9
I have no idea what is going on with my body chemistry.
I’m still not happy about this but I will get to the root of this minor upset.
No matter what life throws at us, it is still a beautiful world.
Now I must depart, and try to calm down…….
Perhaps it was just visiting the impending *52nd, 53rd, 54th state...mmhhOh dear, for the Xmas card, but at least it got a bit of sight seeing done on the way to you.....
A splendid art bit @dunelm
Sorry about your timewarp but good that you realised in time for the recycling. Wonderful kaleidoscope thank you very much for sharing.Fbg 6.7
Nearly forgot recycle day this week.
I had 'lost' a day this week...busy with stuff...
Creative is using the laboscope kaleidoscope app. I tried the net curtains again where there was a pot of silk flowers behind it...I think that worked...
I hope your day went well...
Take care...
