Morning all from a wonderfully blue skied L.A. where the heating kicked in this morning for the first time in a while. No known fbg as I was waiting for feedback from my last CT Scan which came yesterday - all stable thanks be to God.(will Abbott need to hire more temporary staff now?) Spurs won last evening . JKP has covid quite badly and has wisely taken to her bed. She may need an operation on her back and yesterday was the anniversary of my parents' death - mixed day. @dunelm and @gennepher thank you for sharing your art and creatives. We have had both a new washing machine and tumble drier since I was last in charge of affairs so I probably need to whatsapp her for instructions. First, I need to find the salmon. Enjoy the almost warm weather, obviously apart from your bizarre bungalow @gennepher.
Really good that all is stable @ianpspurs. Hope JKP recovers really quickly.

A kaleidoscope for my creative today.
In the centre is my handcream, mixed up with leaves in the garden.
On the next circle are my grapes to snack on.
Then a circle of leaves from the garden.
And round that it is a circle of small pink flowers
And then there is a circle of my net curtains to shield me from the sun...

My hayfever makes it hard to breathe with all this pollen...taking the ventolin...I have a water mister...

Have a happy day...
Take care...

Thanks, I think..I’ve no idea what ‘Hunner’ means...I’ll take it as a compliment... hay fever and riddles aren’t the best mix for me this early morning.

Time for my nap... catch you later....

Hunner: Gen Z word for a consoling hug whilst being a winner for refusing to be beaten. A portmanteau word for hug and winner (see also hangry) Very popular in these parts :D

Sorry about the hayfever, Gennepher. Is it normal for you at this time of year or does the early heat make it worse? It's not so bad here, with us being so far behind with the warmer weather. There is some pollen around, of course, but so far Neil hasn't suffered with hay fever. Since he has been controlling his diet, it doesn't affect him so badly anyway. It must be some years since he was badly affected so, in his case, it must be related to his generalised allergies.

Yes @Annb it is normal for me this time of year, and this year with the heat is making it much worse. I am absolutely useless this year... this is no joke day after day..

@gennepher I find pollen affects me quite badly and the others in the house so we have air purifiers around the house that filter the pollen out of the air.
My Fbg this AM is five point four so my pancreas must still be working.
I have always had hay fever badly... but then it improved for some years, however the last few years it just got worse and worse again, but this year is ridiculous... it is laying me low day after day.

I will have a look at air purifiers.... thanks @JohnEGreen

Grace and Mercy be with you all this Good Shepherd Sunday. Hugs for those finding these high pollen levels difficult and not liking the warmth. For those who can find shade or enjoy soaking up the rays the next week will be right in your wheelhouse but do slip, slap slop and wear a hat. Secret socks are so millennial, Gen Z pour scorn an such antiquities. No fbg but vaguely on topic, my app says I have eaten 20 gms carbs per day over the last week. I must go and do my 52 steps for this hour. Take care. :playful:

I take it that is an average and not a total. Like was for an average. If there was an alarmed emoji, I would use that if it was a total.

BG 10.4 at 04.20 today. Still in the 9's after breakfast (and insulin).
