Think I must be a difficult customer. Couldn't get the style of kitchen cabinet in the style i wanted. Or the right colour of paint, so kitchen is on stop.
Today have been to three different stores, knowing exactly what I wanted to buy, having previously bought those items in-store. None of the items I wanted was available. Meanwhile MrSlim is on the internet trying to find and buy the bathroom basin and vanity that we saw in-store. After hours of searching there is one in Pontivy. They won't deliver, but there is a click and collect service. So we set off on the two hour drive. About 10 mins later phone call. MrSlim does not answer if he doesn't recognise the number, but I think it might be about a delivery and answer the call. Its a man from the store we are heading towards. They will have our order ready to collect on Monday. So much for the two hour service. Turn around and head for home. Slight detour to visit friends.
MrSlim continues to work on the shower room. Did I mention we knocked down the wall yesterday? Anyway now it's all in one. He has replaced the worst of the rotten floorboards with new, ready to lay the lino.
Kiki will be getting her own bedroom. Until now she has slept in the bathroom. Spoilt little cat!
Tomorrow HH will be here, but we won't. We have an invitation to a BBQ with the Tour de France running past the hosts garden. Opportunity not to missed.
Any deliveries HH can accept them.

6.1 this morning.
Off to the podiatrist shortly for my 8 weekly visit. She is a friend so we will have a nice chst while she is sprucing up my feet.

Looks like it will be a rather hot day here in central Norfolk. Luckily not as hot as in Europe.

Good morning everyone on an already warming day here in the dark and dangerous north. Already windows and doors are flung wide at the back of the house and blinds firmly shut.
5.3 this a.m.
Lovely lunch out yesterday - fish with salad - perfect for a hot day.
Does anyone else here take cinnamon? I make an 8am concoction to have before I take my meds; two desert spoons of natural Greek yoghurt, a teaspoon each of cinnamon and inulin and a splodge of kefir - stir, stir.
Lunch out again today with Mrs Miggins’ siblings - I hope they have something light on the menu - we can’t do much when it’s this warm - good way to lose a few pounds maybe?
Hope your day goes well. Whatever art or pastime you practice, do make time for it. One of mine is having good koffy.

Good afternoon everyone from a nicely mild L.A. Fbg was 4.4 this morning. Diabetic review earlier - feedback in a week or so. Weight the same as last year - 11st 11 - blood pressure 110/60, BMI 23. @alf_Josiah good to see you giving ratings and posting the other day. @lindisfel thank you for the rating the other day. I hope yourself and Marjorie are keeping well. @gennepher thank you for sharing the Welsh totem pole like art. I hope you are as comfortable as possible during this "mild" spell. Cricket to watch and salad weather - my wheelhouse. I hope you too can find some pleasure today.

Me too.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, and anyone else reading this.
7.9 but that is after watching Diana Ross doing her stuff on a YouTube video of the big concert in Liverpool, just last week and looking and sounding remarkable at the age of 81.
A beautiful 28 degrees now, and probably warmer by teatime (dinner)
Another quiet day.
Nowt happening yet.
Mental health nurse is due tomorrow dinnertime (lunch).
And Mrs L has an appointment with the big specialist on the 15th.
It is her sister's 60 birthday today. We were invited it Mrs L was not playing.
Only three days till Mrs L 's birthday.
We used to always spend the day before her birthday in Southport.
But that stopped about a decade ago. Mainly because of her disability, too long a day.
Enjoy this warm weather if you can, we don't get enough of them. Because it goes from one extreme to another.
My best wishes to you all as always. Ain't no mountain high enough!
Keep your chin up, no matter how many you have!

Just to add, the sky is completely blue.
Except for the many, many, many contrails across the sky.
Reminds me of the film, The Battle of Britain. That film sequence of the dogfights.
I could read the writing on one, which passed over our house very, very very low.

Aerial Etch-A-Sketch over Saltburn yesterday

Too blooming hot for me @ianpspurs

Good morning everyone on another already scorchio start here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.2 this a.m.
It’s a see what unfolds sort of day today. I think it may be down to the sea under the cooling canopy of the woods, where the beck runs. We can walk along the prom and then up through some more woods which emerge at the other side of town - a circular walk and at least half in the shade. Factor 50 and Tilley hats are very fashionable for folk of a certain age.
Art bit - ink and gouache.
Hope you can keep cool - Lidl is flogging some nice fans at a good price so we are trying one out. Best make kofee.

Morning all. Fbg 4.6 here to start salmon prawn salad day. @gennepher thank you for sharing the wonderful canal boat Art but hug for the effects of the heat yesterday and over the next few days. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art and interesting family history. Enjoy the walk, very wise of you to use factor 50 and wear that Tilley hat. Have the best day you can but hydrate well and if outside pay due respect to the heat and effects of the sun on skin. Remember
