What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Some of them, I might keep, but most of them will go to a charity shop. I think people still buy DVDs.
We do! They're usually £1 each, although we did splash out £5 for a box set of Monty Python films :) . Now we have two copies of Holy Grail including the 25th anniversary edition. Yesterday we watched the bit where Terry Jones and Michael Palin revisit the locations as we were at Doune Castle on Sunday. Photo may or may not appear here...
Grapes & berries looked good , though I'm still drawn to those encausted type ones .
I really fancy gooseberries this year for some reason, but I won't get through a whole punnet by myself. I bought some blackberries at Tebay which I shared with my daughter.

The internal troubles may be due to some chickpea pasta that I used a couple of days ago and once over that I should be able to get back to the lower BGs.
Hope it settles soon. I had a very gassy/ loose tum last night after eating some tarka dal. Maybe my gut doesn't like pulses any more after a week away not eating any?

@gennepher I hope your floor is ok. We've had various leaks in the kitchen from washing machines, fridges and sink traps over the years and the floor has always survived once it dried out.

10.7 today, same as yesterday. Eating a small pot of cottage cheese brought it down to 7.5, will soon find out whether a couple of fried eggs worked the same magic today.

Part 3 of my interminable diabetes assessment/ review this afternoon, need my brain to wake up enough to convey the importance of BG testing for my diabetes management and request reinstatement of testing supplies on repeat prescription. Don't know if taking Mounjaro would affect the strength of DP. Would like to think the nurse would but not remotely hopeful.

Must go prepare some notes, may update re: Scotland trip another time. Love to all...

Edit: No photo. Can't be bothered to set up a website - it was of a sign at Doune Castle pointing the way to

If they fix the photo issue soon I'll reattach it

I love lentils and used to make lots of dal. Love all sorts of pulses, but it seems they don't love me. There are many things my system won't stand but pulses were always fine. I guess I am developing an intolerance to them now as well. Shame because I have 2 litres of tomato and lentil soup in the freezer. Maybe Alistair will be able to use it. I'll ask him when I get a chance to see him. Haven't seen or heard anything of him since he went off sick 2 days ago. I don't want to phone and disturb him if he's resting.

I completely forgot to eat today with the stress..
I have been very stressed the last few days. There was a water leak in my kitchen. I thought I could deal with it but I quickly realise because of the age of the tap and valve, there was nothing I could do.
My next problem was none of the plumbers were responding to me sending an urgent text to them. Finally, someone suggested I try Checkatrade, because they said it was just online stuff for you to arrange it but it wasn't that's simple. They all wanted a voice call.....
Finally on Tuesday today, a guy responded to my text'this afternoon ...
He was a lovely plumber... he replaced the plumbing with new pipes. But more work is needed the water stopcock needs changing. So he is coming back for that.

But he says that this leak has been going on for months unnoticed... and it is only Sunday it's actually showed as water on my floor. He thinks that wooden floor would be rotten by now.... I am sincerely hoping not...

I have had my dehumidifier on more than two days now. And on full blast, it seems to cost £5 a day.

Anyway, looking in my sketchbook again... here is Glastonbury Tor in felt tips.

Night night from me. I've been very stressed over this water problem, but I have ended up in quite a bad rash and that is unusual for me....

I hope you had a peaceful Tuesday....

Glad that you found a plumber to do the job, Gennepher. I hope your floor dries out with no problems. If it is wood, it should be OK. Our floors are chipboard and they do rot eventually if they stay wet for long enough - we had to take up the floor inside our outer doors and, to avoid future problems, we installed concrete plinths in those areas just inside the doors - the weather here doesn't take prisoners and drove water through and under both front and back doors. More recently we put in modern glass doors which have excellent seals on them, so we could have just replaced the floors with wood.

Good morning all from L.A. where the weather continues to be dressed as pseudo summer, for which much thanks be to God. I know not my fbg as I await my next scan next week so am not wearing a sensor. Finger pricking lost any appeal it never had a long, long time ago, though I can still remember how that music used to make me smile. @Annb hug for the digestive system issues. @gennepher thank you for sharing today's and all your other artworks. I hope your sciatica is less troublesome today. @alf_Josiah good to see you posting again and seemingly returning to form. You have all been very patient reading this so bye, bye from this (insert any of the 72 genders that apply) Little American Pie.
Thank you, Ian....

Thank you for sharing your beautiful artwork of Glastonbury Tor. It was a ray of joy in an otherwise downbeat post. I hope the floor dries out and the rash goes away. Like everyone else here I am full of admiration for your resilience but do remember to eat today. This was shared by John Green, God rest his soul, but the way you deal with life's trials and tribulations seems to me to make it a perfect fit. The text has an explicitly Christian orientation (which is why John shared it) but the gist applies to you and others here who aren't Christian in spades.
Thank you Ian for the compliments and the link...

Thank you @Annb
My problem is that these oak wooden flooring, it's actually glued onto the concrete. It's not like your conventional flooring which is got a gap underneath.... so the problem is if the glue doesn't hold and one of them is already moving and that is just out of the so-called problem area so it must've been going under all this for some time.... I'm still hoping though.

Thank you @debs248

But this isn't conventional wooden flooring it is actually glued onto my concrete floors.... and if it has been going on for a long time, the leak, there might be some problems I am sincerely hoping not....

Another felt tip pen drawing from my sketchbook.

Tired today... no more fresh water coming out... humidifier is working hard.

I'll be glad when the plumber has finished the whole thing properly...

Good night from me...

Sleep well.
