Coffee and walnut cake is Mr K 's favourite cake also @ianpspursMorning all from a sunny, now, L.A. after a sub-optimal start which required layers- clothes not chickens. An unknown fbg just now. Best wishes for Alistair and Mrs Miggins, thoughts and prayers for their nearest and dearest who will also be apprehensive at the least. @gennepher and @dunelm thank you both for sharing your art. @Annb that cake will be a triumph so those being offered some are in for a treat. JKP did make an LC version, which was very good, as that is one cake I would eat previously. Enjoy your day as much as possible - still no socks needed here which has to be a blessing.

Thank you for sharing today's art. Good news so far on Mrs Miggins which will, hopefully, continue next Wednesday. Spoiler alert, conversations with most washing machines are usually not a good sign unless they are best friends with that Alexa gel or her relatives. In which case "they" will steal your soul, ask RFK and the Crunchy Moms: headline act at Glasto next year - you read it here firstGood morning everyone from a much cooler start here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.6 this a.m.
An afternoon sat in the Trauma Clinic yesterday watching a parade of coloured casts, splints and the occasional external wire contraptions. Mrs Miggins is now sporting a bright green Irish Rugby Team supporters cast. Another X-ray confirms that for now at least, things are looking as well as they can be and no mention of pins. Back next Wednesday for another X-ray and a visit to the inner sanctum of ‘The Consultant’s room’.
Art bit. Crumpled rice paper and ink.
Hope you are immersed in this particular Wednesday - other days are either spent or yet to come. I finished my koffy and am now immersing myself in conversations with the washing machine.
How apt. I was just researching castles that my husband's ancestors may, or may not (probably not), have lived in and there I see a dark and brooding edifice which could well have been one of them.Good morning everyone from a much cooler start here in the dark and dangerous north.

Alexa, wake up Ann. Glad to help Ann.How apt. I was just researching castles that my husband's ancestors may, or may not (probably not), have lived in and there I see a dark and brooding edifice (is it called Nigel?) which could well have been one of them.
Cakes in the oven so I must not go to sleep!
Thank you. Cakes now safely out of the oven.Alexa, wake up Ann. Glad to help Ann.
