What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

8.2 and stressed out, sorry guys.
Mrs L is practising for the falling Olympics.
It was defo a 9.8 for artistic display but a 8.2 on the technical.
Displaying the well known excuse of missing her mark.
However claiming injury, Mrs L is now practising for the help me club.

Mrs L is slightly hurting but spreading it on thickly.
Her husband is on hand to help her.
The antibiotics are working, and her misremembering is less noticeable.
I did spend some time in the garden as the sun was out for a while until the heavens opened.

But I'm still freaking out!

My best wishes as always.
And thanks for your support.

A scribble from my sketchbook....
My creative for today...

My Internet has been off all day, and it's only just returned...

I'm tired. I'm going to bed now.... good night...

A lot of work doing this clear out.... every time I sit down, I fall asleep...

Photos are not loading again...

4.7 at 03.20 today - 4.4 by the time I got to the kitchen for my pills and my first cup of coffee. 4.7 now - after a bit of moving around. On my 2nd cup of coffee now.

DIL has asked for a coffee and walnut cake for some event on Friday - no idea what it is, but it's a big cake, so presumably she'll be sharing it. So that's a job for the next day or so.

Alistair has his flights booked to go to the hospital in Glasgow tomorrow - there and back in one day. An MRI scan doesn't take long, so he should make it in the time. It'll be a bit tight though.

Brilliant scribble. It needs to be used to illustrate a story

Those readings are looking good. Hope nothing delays Alistair with the ‘there and back in one day’ plan.

Good morning everyone on what might just be another sun shiny day here in the dark and dangerous north
5.8 this a.m.
Plaster clinic this afternoon when we will find out if Mrs Miggins will need pins or just a more substantial splint.
Before that though we have time to take advantage of this sunshine for a walk into town and back.
Art bit - using up the back of something else.
Hope your day includes you well. I best make some koffy and enjoy the sunshine.

Morning all from a sunny, now, L.A. after a sub-optimal start which required layers :arghh: - clothes not chickens. An unknown fbg just now. Best wishes for Alistair and Mrs Miggins, thoughts and prayers for their nearest and dearest who will also be apprehensive at the least. @gennepher and @dunelm thank you both for sharing your art. @Annb that cake will be a triumph so those being offered some are in for a treat. JKP did make an LC version, which was very good, as that is one cake I would eat previously. Enjoy your day as much as possible - still no socks needed here which has to be a blessing.

Here's hoping Alistair makes the journey easily & the results are fruitful offering a speedy fix

Hi Lamont.

A mixed bag again.

Maybe the new meds are dropping Mrs L blood pressure ..might explain the falls ?

Either way hugs to her for the hurt & to you for the worry it causes

Good her memory is improving with the help of meds.

And how nice you had time in the garden.

I know forest bathing is a thing for calmness etc.
Don't see why a garden space can't provide similar .mmhh.

Best wishes as always.

Hears to a good day for you both .

Do I detect a Welsh dragon lurking in those hills gennepher? You are very talented. :)

First time for a long time....... (Song title??). I have just had a siesta.
Both of us up and about at dawn. Don't know if Dawn was broken. But I felt it was!
Reason.......... Incidents and accidents.......
The washing machine was on all morning... Good thing it's not raining.
Spent an hour while carer was here doing the bedroom and putting first wash on.Then shopping for new potatoes for Mrs L 's steak for later, got some cyprus, going in oven soon.
Bacon and eggs for lunch, dropped two eggs bloody arthritis!
Footy later..... Need a break.......
Gonna forest bathe by my pink roses which have been flowering crazy all summer.
Whilst bringing in the washing.
My best wishes.
Be careful out there and enjoy something, anything, you can.

I made the coffee and walnut cakes and they looked very good (2x 10” cakes). When I checked them after 35 minutes, they weren’t quite done so I put them back into the oven and set the timer for another 10 minutes. Sat in the big chair to wait and – you guessed it – woke up about 45 minutes later to two burnt offerings.

They are not salvageable, so I’ll have to do it all again tomorrow but first I’ll need to get Neil to go to the local shop to buy me some more eggs. I hate wasting food!

EDIT: I cut all the burnt bits off and am left with some salvageable cake - not that I can give i to DIL as her cake, but will think of something I can do with what's left.
